Malaysia Airlines MH2634 : Flying from Kuala Lumpur to Labuan

- A trip report on Malaysia Airlines' flight MH2634 from Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia Airlines were quite good for this flight and I'd probably fly them again if I had the chance.
Labuan is a federal territory of Malaysia and is a very small island located right next to the huge island of Borneo. Labuan airport, at the time, had 17x flights weekly between Kuala Lumpur on Malaysia Airlines.
This flight was flown in December 2013.
Scheduled flying time for this sector is 2 hrs and 25 min, with actual flying time being close to 2 hrs and 15 min. Scheduled departure time was 11:45 am while scheduled arrival time was 02:10 pm in the afternoon. I'd prebooked seat 20F for a fee on Malaysia Airlines' website.
The aircraft for this flight was a 20 year old Boeing 737-400, which has since been retired from MH's fleet along with all the other 734s, registered 9M-MQB.
It was an enjoyable two hours, with the view outside the window being spectacular. I'd recommend this route to anyone wishing a route filled with amazing sights.
Fares for this route were 13K INR on a triangular routing between Labuan, another city in Borneo, and Kuala Lumpur.

Malaysian clearly need a bit of improvement, but I'd recommend flying Malaysia Airlines for being quite the affordable and decent carrier.

I used to fly MAS from KL to KK once a year as a kid in the 1990s to visit my mum's side family and all I remember about MAS is how awesome they were, especially the food. I still have very fond memories of MAS and really hope they will get back up their feet.

Fantastic Work And Great Job. As a Malaysia myself , I am very proud of my national airline. I do agree the airline needs improvement but overall it is a wonderful airline. Hopefully the new 737-800 will give passengers more comfort. Other than that, great job and keep it up.

Thanks pbateson, and yes MH have retired all the B734s as I mentioned in the video. I didn't get the chance to stay in Labuan as I was in transit unfortunately. It seems like a very cool and unknown spot, I'd love to go back!
