Liked the birds.
I've been there. Even driven out on that beach with a whole lot of other folks. Never thought I'd see a wave covering the entire beach. Wow.
Yeah I drove on that beach right there when were visited back in Feb. My boyfriend's relatives who live in Ocean Park told us about this storm and posted a video of huge waves, but NOTHING like this, wow! They've even told us that there's been times they've seen entire cars swallowed up on that beach by unsuspecting tourists! Mind you, these particular people weren't using good judgement (otherwise it's safe to drive on the beach - done so many times).

Super great video. I'm the guy standing next to you in the road when the foam gets to where you were standing. I relative of mine who saw the video before she knew it was me, said she was shouting "Run dude run!" when she first saw it. That's my little silver car getting foamed too. I was running to try and stay ahead of the water and take pictures. Got some interesting shots, but nothing nearly as good as your drone footage. Great stuff.

Yes, I can't believe all the thumbs down, are they crazy? This is totally beautiful and eerie and, to use the original version of the word, awe-some. I certainly am full of awe. We have areas like that where we live and notices of warning but many still ignore them. Does not take a huge amount of flowing water to float a car.

Love from Poland. Great video. I enjoyed traveling and hiking in WA state. It has so much to offer. The coast is so dramatic looking with all the rocks standing tall in the ocean. Beautiful Northern Cascades. Will come back one day.

I really like the over view and as the you move in the sound was spot on with birds flying around the vehicles in motion the landscape all was captured just perfectly the music put it all together. Nice choice. Really camera work as well. Hey enjoy the 🐟 fishing.

That is one hell of a job getting the shots with the drone. Flying is one thing, knowing where to be is another. You ever look at 'Rankin Studio' videos out of the Southwest? He does the same thing with areas out there that flood after it rains, rain can be miles away and these dry river beds flood in a matter of minutes. Take a look. Nice job.

Brisdad53 , I can understand your point of view, yet you do understand this was a high tide event and not a tsunami right. I noticed where the waves were possibly coming up to and was relatively safe where I was standing. I was there to film the awesome power of the ocean. Not to become a victim of foolishness.
Also, if he didn't happen to fly by himself in the video. One COULD be on their roof up the block and you'd never know. This beach is within crawling distance. Hell the range on most good drones, I could fly there from my place a 1/4 mile away.
Actually more like a full mile, yet I like to keep visual sight of my drone when I'm flying
best drone footage I have seen. I have seen others, with helicopter footage after hurricanes that put a banner with their name and how to contact in order to legally use your footage

Not to be cheeky, but what drone do you have, and what drone would you go for on a limited budget (just thought I'd ask, as the footage is amazing;-)
This was shot with a DJI Phantom 3 standard. I bought it 3 years ago for 400 dollars and came with 3 batteries. Probably get exact one for cheaper now! This video was shot at only 1080p but most of my videos on my channel have been taken with this drone. Its a bigger drone, yet it was blowing 30mph that day and it handled like a champ.

How many cycles were there that went that high? It is a strange phenomena. It isn't the normal wave cycle, it is more like a tsunami or a tidal bore (obviously it isn't).

Thanks for this awesome video! Was this the 8.0 high tide at 1pm today? Good thing a wave like this didn't come in while I was fishing the incoming tide last thursday; 30mph south winds and 21' combined swell heights from the west. It was crazy.
yes, this was right around 1pm. and yes the wave here can get Serious real quick!
I've never seen it this high; last week there was a tracked backhoe out there harvesting sand. Maybe they didn't take enough sand lol!
