DIY Natural Vapor Rub with Essential Oils

Make your own DIY all natural vicks vapor rub that features essential oils! Learn how aromatherapy can clear a stuffy nose, and make your breathing easier. This recipe is easy and quick to make and it offers instant relief from sinus congestion, and coughs and colds. It’s own homemade natural version of vicks vapor rub!
Here is what you will need to make your own natural vapor rub

Ingredients

Here is the recipe:
40 grams of Calendula infused Sunflower Oil
40 grams of Tamanu Oil
1 gram of Vitamin E (Tocopherol)
13 grams of Organic beeswax
Essential Oils
.62 grams of Ravintsara (Cinnamomun camphora)
.62 grams of Inula graveolens
.37 grams of Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)
.49 grams of Lemon (Citrus limon)
.37 grams of Hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis)
1) First measure and portion out each ingredient, except the essential oils, measure those together in one small beaker and blend well.
2) Prep your double boiler, and make it warm.
3) Add the beeswax first to melt, I always melt the hardest ingredient first since it will need the most time to melt.
4) When the beeswax is melted, add the carrier oils
5) Take the double boiler off the heat, and dry the outside off very carefully not to get any water near your containers.
6) Add your 5g of blended essential oils when the double boiler insert is off the heat, and mix well.
7)Pour in the blended mixture into your salve tins, cap quickly and set on counter for 4 hours to set. overnight to set

This is for rich people tho. Getting those ingredients and tools is far more expensive than a bottle of Vick's

You could look at it that way..or you could think of it as buying in bulk. if you buy one small bottle of eucalyptus oil it could outlast all the jars of vicks you buy in the long run!
