This is based off of a fic “Don’t Go” written by Annacharlier, which can be found here:

Q: Who did the drawings? The voice?
Me me me me me. This was a one-person project. (Also I did most of the foley as well, and the soundeffects that weren’t by me were listed as royalty/copyright free)
Q: Where is the music from?
It’s from the show’s soundtrack, “Ties That Bind” by Sunna Wehrmeijer. I did have to edit it to match the scene.
Q: Is this a part of the Don’t Go Project (twitter/dontgoproject)?
Kind of no. I started making this before I joined the group. I am part of the project, but I have not been involved in the art process (I am only a Korean translator at the moment). We’ve discussed it and they may use it as a backup or reference of sort!
Q: Can I do a spinoff video?

This should've been a episode in itself. Just these two, finally together, no horde, no sword or she-ra, no fighting. Just sitting and taking in each other's existence. Just being there for each other after they both nearly died. Healing emotionally, mentally, and physically. Just being there, existing in peace for once .
I would’ve loved an episode like that, especially one where we see Catra trying to make up for the things she’s done. Even just a silly episode with her doing the absolute maximum to prove that she can help would’ve been nice. I just feel like her “redemption arc” was too short, and I believe it should’ve started before season 5.
We need a show just about the cast’s life after the show. (I also want to see Finn and more of Double Trouble in it, personally)

I really like the scratchy audio. It sounds like they’re in space and it also sounds really realistic.
I wanted to convey the ambiance of the inside of the spaceship, so I recorded the sound of my air conditioner going on and manipulated the audio to create that haha

@@kangkanghj As much as I liked AJ and Aimee reading the original script of the confession scene, it would have been cooler if they read that fanfic. Then you could have put their audio onto this animation you did. But the voice acting you did was decent as well, it got across the already heartwarming/heartbreaking interaction they had.

Not gonna lie, scenes like this with such raw emotional vulnerability on both sides are more satisfying than big, dramatic finale kisses. This is real, and conveys the love they feel for each other far better in my opinion.
I don't care if they technically didn't put it in the show, or it's 'just a fanfic'. It's good shiet and Imma say it's canon for me.

Catra starts purring for Adora Everytime
you know. Noelle says that through the 5 seasons, from ep1s1 to the last at the end of s5, 3 years had passed.
And the way they where talking about being gone for so long when they showed up to the resistance camp from returning from space, they made some statements that they where gone for 'too long'
it honestly might have been MONTHS of space travel from planet to planet. and the recuperation Catra took from near-death to bright eyes, shagging hair, and her cocky attitude wasnt overnight. The start of seeing Catra try to similate to the squad was seen at the end of that episode eating a dumpling(?). so. Im sure it would have still been awkward here and there for a while.
SO... things like THIS, should have been completely possible.

I think that if there is something in which this show is not exceling, it's portraying the passage of time, I mean it's not done badly by any mean, but it's just hard to spot and the show doesn't give you many reference points for what happened how long ago. I think that part of the problem is that the show doesn't show things like traveling or non plot related activities very often, so it can feel like events take place very soon one after another - though this is understandable, as the show had to pack so much story and narative into each 24 ( ish ) minutes episode, so I get that there was not a lot of time that could be used for that, though still I think it's a shame, I would have loved to see more of the Catra / Adora relation before and even after the finale. It's a shame they didn't extend the last episode a bit and show more of the aftermath of the whole thing, but the finale they went with is really good as well.

It is fully worth reading, it explains a lot of stuff that happens before/during/after Episode 6 Season 5, "taking control", like why Catra is suddenly so comfortable with being with them that she had no qualms about jumping onto Adora's lap next episode.

This is a really touching scene between Adora and Catra that really starts to show how much two of them mean to each other.

In the fanfic noelle wrote that this is based on it says something like "I wonder if she remembers what this means" while catra slow blinked so yes it was supposed to be the "I love you" cat blink and I love it so much

This is the kinda relationship I wish to have with someone whether it’s romantic or platonic. The atmosphere isn’t awkward but it isn’t completely normal either, it’s neutral. You always have that one person that you’re really close with no matter their status, like as in a partner or a best friend that you’d do anything for, like Catra and Adora. Adora recognizes that Catra has been hurt severely and even though she doesn’t know how to help completely she’s there for her. People cope in different ways and even though Catra won’t admit it it seems as though she loves to cuddle, feel close to someone, feel protected. This comic dub is beautiful and is written with real emotion.

I absolutely love this so much! I feel so happy to actually see this animated. The voice acting didn't bother me, I quite liked it! The art was amazing and literally spot on with character designs.
This took a lot of time, effort, patience, planning and love. I can tell. It hit me square between the eyes and made everything slow down for a few minutes. Took me back to when I first watched season 5 and every feeling that has stuck around since.
I didn't know my withered old heart needed this.

It's from a short story/deleted scene that Noelle Stephenson wrote. It happens between episodes 5 and 6 of season 5, I believe. Since it's from Nicole herself, it's canon.
Noella wrote this. Besides, she wanted to add this. This is basically considered to be a deleted scene. So yeah its canon

It would've been nice if this scene was in the show, i think it would add more to the story. We do see Catra struggling to be a better person, she isn't sure how she can take this kindness when she almost to the pointy of insanity destroyed every single relationship she had with other people. She isn't sure if she is even allowed to be near Adora's radius, It probably felt nauseating for her just to looking at her since guilt ate her alive.

The actor is the animator, she did everything herself! the music is the one thing that isn't hers, the music is from the She Ra OST.
@@sydney4814 Most of the sound effects were recorded by me as well (there were a few sounds I had to get elsewhere)! I had to manipulate the She Ra OST so that there would be greater pauses between sections and repeats for timing sake (which I think was one of the most difficult parts of compiling this video ahaha)
@@kangkanghj I know you said you did the Sound Effects on Twitter, and you did a great job with the music editing too :) And I think you are too harsh on your Voice Acting skills on Twitter, Catra's lines during her apology are all said so sweetly, and Adora's lines too, my favorites are when she gets her hand caught by Catra and asks if she could stay.

Okay, I’m about to write an entire college essay, so prepare yourself.
First, the sound effects and voice acting in this are underated. You did such a good job!
Second, I just read the fanfic and I am almost in tears. I never thought about how long and how terrifying that situation must have been for Catra. We only see it for 1 episode so it feels quick, but imagine how long that actually went on for.
Also, I really like how this provides the contrast between the pain and the comfort (Both part 1 and 2). You did an incredible job!
And finally, Catra is precious and I want to protect her and make sure she never has a bad day ever again. Please, it can’t be just me.
Anyway, you did an incredible job! I watch this all the time just for comfort or to see the characters interacting. I have been obsessed with the show, though I have only found it recently. Literally have not stopped watching it since I started. I have never cried so much.
