ursprünglich ist "Berliner Luft" aus der Operette "Frau Luna" (1914) von Paul Paul Linke und wurde danach als "Militärmarsch" übernommen.
Hmm, irgendwie warte ich dabei immer darauf das einer Anfängt zu Pfeifen. :)

Nice performance of "Berliner Luft" always associated with the Allied air-lift of 1948 to save Berlin from the Soviet menace. Again, those older style Wehrmacht helmets and uniforms make for an authentic and different look for a Bundeswehr band. I honestly thought the German Gov was too apprehensive to allow displays like that these days! The torchlights of the Zapfenstrech ceremony makes for an impressive evening Tattoo setting.

@Leutnant82 Well, mein guter Leutnant28;), the melody was not originally conceived as a military march, whether you like it or not. And my comment was not meant to cast aspersions on the Bundeswehr.
It's more like Tata Motors pretending to build a BMW. :)
Well, somehow this military band does not manage to get across the innate exuberance of this melody.

Dies sind Musiker, keine Streidsoldaten. Und ich darf sagen dass sie, die Musiker, die Vertölkung, ich meine klar die gerade gute Impression hat gegeben.
Genau wie Paul Lincke es gemeint had.

@forgetititititit ??? its a German military march, wether you like it or not is your problem. They play it like it has to be played. You know why? because they are German. it´s like telling mercedes benz they wouldn´t know how to build a s type mercedes
