In Mexico “almuerzo” is a heavy breakfast. 🍳 What for Americans is ‘lunch’ for us it’s ‘La comida’ and that’s the main meal of the day, usually served between 2-3 pm. And here we don’t use the word ‘vegetales’, we say “verduras”. 🙃

I really love how in this lecture series grammar is taught as we go along. I think most people in the US at some point try to learn spanish off and on through the years, myself included. Without a good teacher you are forced to do this by books, tapes, and increasingly apps that don't teach you spanish as a language but instead teach you spanish as a set of words and phrases to be memorized, which is very disheartening because you spend so much time and effort memorizing so many random words/phrases and despite all your effort you feel like you don' t understand anything because you aren't taught grammar and sentence structure until later and by that point you lose motivation. This lecture series/teacher is great because you really feel like you're making progress and that your effort is being rewarded as you learn. We need more language teachers like this!

Very true. A long but truly meaningful message. Many people face the same problem but only some recognize it, and very few try to change it. Nowadays learning a new language is never easy because even though you may find teachers in abundance, they lack the character and luster to teach you properly. Only a very few amounts of teachers get you really interested in the language
This is so true. I have tried to study Spanish on other subscription-based website but it was very difficult to understand.
I have been watching his lessons for only 2 days and I've learned a lot. Like A LOT. I am so proud of myself for being able to construct basic Spanish sentences within a short period of time. With professor's help of course

This is just awesome. I paid 8K to classes to learn Spanish. But it doesn't had that quality. This sessions are really designed by understanding the point of view and thinking capacity of the beginners. Everything explained very well. If we follow all the lessons and practice it then we are set to speak Spanish for day to day requirements. Much appreciated. Also the teacher is really excellent. He knows his job very well. Explanations are to the point. If you are looking to start learning Spanish then this series is most recommended. Thanks for all the efforts and making it publicly available.

I am really enjoying the lessons at the moment. I would like to let you know that in the lesson on "Food", you have put down the spanish for "Beans" as "Peas" as well.
"Gustar" it was really difficult to understand opposite value of its meaning, but looks like I'm fine after this lesson.

Along with Duolingo, verb practicing, conjugation practicing and watching plenty of Spanish programs. I just need to start listening to more Spanish music. Spanish is an Indo-European language, Latin branch and the magic is that when you dominated , it's very easy to understand and learn ITALIAN, PORTUGUESE, FRENCH , and probably Greek because its Fonetic is very similar to Spanish
