Apicectomy, how it works.

A 67 year old female, complaining with a 2-years clinical history of intermittent pain on the crown 22.
In 2020, she underwent root canal retreatment. She no longer had symptoms due to the formation of the fistula but she continued to present pus.
In 2023, she finally decided to have surgery for the surgical removal of the granuloma.
The classic apicectomy has been performed with a single distal discharge and preservation of the papillae. The retrograde closure has been carried out using MTA. The 6/0 PGA absorbable sutures has been used.
