    Will soundtraxx be making a TSU big steam for large scale locomotives like the 4400?

      We do not have this in the works, but we will keep it in mind!

    I did the conversion on my older Athearn big boy. I need to probably swap out the speakers like you did since the sound quality out of my factory speakers is a bit crackly

    Do you have f22 crew talk like athearn has on there tsunami 2 that's in theres.. and duel Dynamos

      Athearn uses full-featured Tsunami2 decoders. So all of the features on Athearn factory-installed Tsunami2 decoders are available on aftermarket Tsunami2 decoders. Aftermarket and factory-installed Tsunami2 decoder will often have different function mapping though. So different buttons trigger different effects.

    Is the 844 on the big steam decider?

    • @SoundtraxxDCC
      @SoundtraxxDCC  Před 3 lety +1

      I believe you can get a good representation of the 844 off this decoder too. The recordings of the 844 are not on this, but with the UP big steam sounds, you’ll be able to make it extremely close.

    Hey George,
    On the air pumps, 4014 had two of them. Is that also set up in the decoder too. RR Bob, UP Engineer retired.

    If I had a challenger could this decoder be perfect for it?

    What type of flux do you use? Thanks, Kennedy

      Here’s the stuff George uses at home: www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/chip-quik-inc/SMD291NL/1160000 It’s about $12 per ‘syringe’
      The stuff we have here is Alpha OM-338. You can search online or here’s a link to a random website: www.solderconnection.com/P1186/ALPHA-OM338-LEAD-FREE-FLUX-GEL.html Because it’s an industrial use flux, most of the links want you to contact them for quotes.

    Great video, love these decoder install videos. What decoder would you recommend for me putting in a Greenbrier type locomotive? I got a bli unit that the decoder shot on me and would like to replace it, thanks for the help.

      Hello,
      Use the TSU-2200 for Steam, 884007. The set the CVs to match. Watch CZcams vids and find the closest match. We did not record the 614, but I’m sure we may have it’s whistle in the library. Not all whistles are cataloged by the ‘restored’ loco, The Greenbrier is a 4-8-4 Northern: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chesapeake_and_Ohio_614

    Can I add this decoder to a dcc ready Hornby hogwarts express?

    • @SoundtraxxDCC
      @SoundtraxxDCC  Před 3 lety

      You should be able to. I don't have the specs for this model to tell you which board format will fit in this model, but you can contact our support department for more assistance: soundtraxx.com/contact/technical-support
