    it was great you told us that the start-up can be changed, BUT you did not explain exactly HOW to do it, in CV 114. LOL Many bits and bites !! I guess I figured it out, after an hour or so. CV114 default 39, changed to 7

    These videos have topics that are often exactly what I need, but then when it comes to exactly HOW you did it, they are unclear! What exactly do I need to do to disable CV114, and then what do I turn ON to enable 'manual start up', and then how do I start it? The 'bits and DB/AN' charts don't tell me anything----I have no clue what all that stuff means!! That page doesn't tell me anything. I wish Soundtraxx would write their manuals so that a first-timer could understand them instead of having do do a research project to learn how to access every function. :S

      I am sorry that you are frustrated. It sounds like maybe your problem is with your command station? Everyone has a different command station and we cannot teach everyone how to operate all of these different command stations that we do not make. Therefore we have to just tell you what to with the command station - change CV 8 to 8 but, we can't tell you the steps on each command station to do this.
      As far as bits go you just need to determine which ones you want on and then its simple addition from there. We even have an interactive CV calculator in our User's guide that will add them for you. We also have some videos on the subject:
      czcams.com/users/results?search_query=soundtraxx+cv
      and
      czcams.com/users/results?search_query=soundtraxx+cvs
      We do have a webinar that can help you with a few popular command stations as well: czcams.com/users/results?search_query=soundtraxx+webinar+9
      And last we do have a full time support team to help you. SoundTraxx Support Department: (970)259-0690 or soundtraxx.com/contact/technical-support?

    I think for diesels if you have the engine sounds disabled on powerup (CV114) I think the engine sounds will start if you move the engine. And it will make sound indefinitely unless you use a the function key to lower it to off, or turn off layout power. So you don't have to used a function key to start the sounds if you don't want to.

    Hi, great to hear about this item. How many engines can you run at one time with Blunami? And can you run same time with nce dcc ? Thank you.

    • @SoundtraxxDCC
      @SoundtraxxDCC  Před 2 lety

      You cannot run at the same time in DCC. The decoder can only listen to commands from one source at a time. This prevents you from loosing control of your model. Once you are connected to the app the decoder will no longer react to your command station, but when you disconnect from the app you can use your command station.

    Howzit : Is there not a conflict in respect of CV 114 / F5 ( Start-Up and DDE Value 47 ) ? In having now activated DDE; am I at fault to find that F5 is now removed as the Start-Up ? And what about the F6 Shut-Down ? Thanks + Regards / John

    • @SoundtraxxDCC
      @SoundtraxxDCC  Před 3 lety

      Enabling the DDE will not disable F5. It will run the notching based on motor load, but you should still have F5 control. Contact our Support Department for further assistance. (970)259-0690 or support@soundtraxx.com

    George - another informative video. As far as automatic start up, I have an older tsunami, which this is CV 116. For automatic notching without automatic start up, would I set CV 116 to 7? Sorry, but I missed what you have your MoPac decoder CV114 set to.

    Whilst Onnit : How does one control what I determine as the * Dwell Time; * this being the time-lapse between when a Loco comes to a halt and then moves off in the opposite direction ? An immediate change is; of course; totally unrealistic. There HAS to be a stationary time ! Much Ta / John

    I have a brand new Athearn Genesis FP9 with a Tsunami2 sound decoder, there is no engine noise either when placing it on the track or using F5/6, it's not muted and the bell/horn are very very quiet. Any ideas as to the problem & yes I've tried a factory reset.

    Hi there
    I have a piko smart lite dcc controller, I purchased this and sold my prodigy system as I now only have a small switching layout and can change the function key to none latching which is great for the breaking function.
    The issue I'm having is my athearn genesis gp15 with factory installed tsunami (not 2) keeps going to engine shut down when you change directions whilst idle.
    Any ideas.
    Kind regards Dan

    • @SoundtraxxDCC
      @SoundtraxxDCC  Před 2 lety

      Dan, the issue here is likely the DCC commands you are sending via your DCC station to change directions are also accompanied by a E-Stop command. Some systems will send this out to make sure a loco is stopped before changing directions as doing so while moving can be hard on a motor. Some systems did this, and so we are seeing the decoder’s PM shut down, which is a result of that E-Stop command. You can just simply have the E-Stop put the PM to idle in CV 112. If you have any further questions on this, contact Support directly: support@soundtraxx.com Thank you!
