Miami Valley Symphony Orchestra and Gem City Ballet presentation of Tchaikovsky's classic. Featuring Samuel Jones and Courtney Connor Jones of the Cincinnati Ballet. Conducted by James Johnston
Everyone should know that these dancers are all high school level some as young as 13. We were doing our best. And the orchestra was a community based volunteer orchestra. Please do not judge to harshly
I'm not judging. You all are young. There's still room for practice as you get older. I still think this performance is a job well done. And for once, I'm not seeing the Balanchine bodies I'm used to seeing! I like seeing dancers with different body shapes, heights, and ages.
For a community/amateur ballet company and orchestra this wasn't bad. This was probably a lot to handle and both did okay. I just wish the conductor would have re-tuned the orchestra for each act. The bad intonation was just to damn noticeable and the costumes got better at the end.
Mom: "No we already have ballet at home" Ballet at home: Ok ok, but jokes asides, everyone in that production is better at whatever it is they're doing than whatever I can or could do. They're not professionals, I'm guessing they don't charge much for tickets. Like if they charge anything *at all*. People do this for fun! Which is amazing. Go you!
What kind of orchestra was that??? Are they first year music students? Because that's probably the only acceptable reason why they're all over the place in this production. I admire the dancers especially the principals and the soloists. They may not be the best at what they do, but having to perform at the size of that stage and the horrendous performance of the opera, these dancers did really well!

Интересная постановка моего любимого. Балета Крас ивые костюмы прекрасно танцуют принц и принцесса. Оркестр играет прекрасно молодцы 👍❤️

And that set design! It feels so uninspired!

No, sorry.
The classical ballet was created by King louis XIV in 1661.
Omgggggggggg at least I Had a good laugh. The orchestra is absolutly miserable
Ok I thought I was crazy because I'm not a musician, ya know? But like... wow. This is bad.
Nice sleeping beauty ballet , is funs , for grooves' s days , say it: jennie petersen rodriguez and maine mendoza.
I'm a bit surprised to see overfed guts in the ballet. Is it all American plague? Did it affect ballet in the USA?
Let people dance for fun, yo.
Looks like a fairy in that ballet brother and sister, huh?
