I honestly can't handle all the up and down of the DM in this campaign, the stress is killing me. That country has gone from insanely strong to basically dead way so many times that i honestly expect next episode to see the DM win against Burgundy and Danubia. I don't know how that will be possible but all 3 players are cursed.

TBF we should have expected LOCO would find a way to fumble the war against Burgundy, this DM has been a major star in this series, going from great sucess to abysmal skill issues at a moments notice, Spud should pounce on him and get his mediterranian ports, not only it woung give him some good provinces and expand his naval force Limit, but it also would give Italy a land connection to Spain
But where's the fun in that? If however Scandi is out Spud should still ally DM and retake Switzerland from that Danubian player so we can see if that guy was really planning this all along or he is just incompetent at war. It'll also be true gosh darn land war mostly.

Military score isn't affected by mobilization, but it is determined by other factors: your supply consumption (your ruling party affects this, as well as tech), your number of soldiers you can recruit, and the number of soldiers that you have recruited, capital ships, leaders (generals are 2, and they only count for as many units you have. So 15 generals and 14 units means you get 28 military score from leaders). You can check this by disbanding all your soldiers and ships, your military score will be 0. Recruiting one soldier will get you X score from military (could be 0.5, could be 2, depends on supply consumption), and then 2 if you have a general as well.

The folk living in northern france/southern burgundy must be so done with this back and forth. I just picture the town halls and cities having to change the flags back and forth every time their state switches after a war
Italy might as well backstab the dual monarchy and begin restoring the Roman Empire with a Spain and Hungary alliance. Italy should also partition Egypt to further restore Roman territory, it’ll provide the essential resources to push the Germans back across the Rhine late game. It is possible Italy could become hegemon of Europe if propped up with Spanish ships and Hungarian guns.
