Thank you to all my Patrons for supporting the channel!
Sorry this wasn't a regular Monday video, should be all back to normal scheduling for the rest of the week and beyond!
Alright 👌
You forgot the mic links!
😊❤😊❤😊
I've been on CZcams for a couple of years now, although I'm nowhere near as big as you are or you were at that stage. I'm small enough that I can't really speak to the financial aspects you were discussing, but a decent amount of this video is very familiar. It's always interesting to hear different people's points of view on these topics, especially since basically everyone is self-taught, so any similarities or variations are quite cool to hear. You are one of the people who inspired me and continue to do so, so it is nice to hear any similarities we happen to have. It is my hope that one day, I'll be able to support myself as you do, but until then, I am very happy with it as a hobby. Thank you for all you do and for sharing this video too! :)
very interesting video, please do more like this, love your talks
You are quite right on these
Well, now for something completely different!
But seriously, thanks. I especially liked when you turned off the box light to show how dark it was with regular room lighting. Very effective.
Also, you may be British, but you don't have an obvious British accent. It just sounds different without realizing where it's from.
When it comes to the money, I think a lot of people overlook the fact that only a small number of CZcamsrs get rich making videos. Many are just getting by, and some, especially the hobbyists are making little or nothing from their videos. Which is why many CZcamsrs have Patreon and/or merchandise to supplement their income. Of course, any channel that starts hiring a small crew to help make the videos is at least making enough money to pay those extra workers, although again, they may not be getting rich.
That's clearly a British accent.
I appreciate the candid conversation ! Really enjoyed this .😃
Loving the naming of the Macs. Maybe a topic for a future video, how the Tracy Brothers were named (it'd probably be quite a short one)
One thing I learned about mics is it's important to have a windscreen or foam cover over it. I used to record my videos audio using my iphone, but I would get a lot of mouth noises though there and it was difficult to edit those out (a lot of it was still in there). I eventually bought a Shure brand mic because that's what I kept seeing everyone using. But even with that, it needs a windscreen to limit the mouth noises.
I'm hoping to get to it in around 3 years
4:15 Seconding Nick Robinson's content being amazing. I discovered his content through his "Can we rescue a deleted Pokémon 15 years after its death?" vid and was thoroughly impressed
That’s a superb video.
You're the GOAT
If you need a cheap microphone that works to get you started, buy a Samsung Go Mic.
It's dead easy to use. Just plug it into a USB port and make sure it's on.
I have a disability that means I can't be a youtuber, or streamer or vlogger - even though I really want to.
But I'm ok watching awesome content from people who can.
And why would that be? I'm sure if you can write a comment you can also make some sorts of videos!
@@I_Love_Learning You would be incorrect. I can't speak in the absence of other humans, so I can't record myself.
@@Craznar Oh yeah, that is tough. Though you could technically use TTS, it isn't very high quality now. But yes, this is some awesome content.
I have watched CZcamsrs who are paraplegic, blind, deaf, amputees, autistic, epileptic, and stutterers. I don’t know what your disability is, but perhaps you shouldn’t just assume you can’t do this if it is something that truly interests you.
@@Craznartry and see if those around you who support you in your daily life can help make a video with you, I'm sure it's possible and it can't hurt to try. good luck if you do eventually make a video
Hey just a video request: if you’re still doing Are there any ____ left, I’d like to see one on Shakespeare. Probably one of if not the most famous non-royal British person of all time.
What about Merlin?
Recently I did a rare to-camera piece for my CZcams channel, where the usual fare is just raw-shot videos of records playing in conjunction with my Blogs 'Girls Of The Golden East', on the female Pop of the satellite nations of the former Soviet Bloc and the Fan Blog for Valérie Čižmárová, 'Hotlips On The Horse Tram'. I just used a simple Olympus E-P3 Pen camera with the built-in microphone, the body of which I actually got from my local London Camera Exchange shop, probably mistakenly placed in a bargain box of oddments on the floor going at £1.00 each. The sound wasn't all that bad considering, I thought. As you will have guessed that is a fairly niche channel, but I do wonder, at times, if there is any way that all this can be monetised as a way of earning pin money in my retirement, in which I sort of am already, at sixty-two, to bulk out the inheritance from my parents that is currently my source of income. I'd certainly like to think that my enthusiasm for the music comes over in that latest video, as I write this comment on 22nd April 2024.
I post bc I want to post.
I could not care less about views.
This platform has no power over me.
