    Is that the diesel 2nd gen? Because the petrol 2nd gen oil filters are small and behind the front wheel 🤷‍♂️

    SOS for Honda Crv 2002-2006 use 5w20 (0w20 Europe) if u have 100.000 and under. If you have 100.000 up use 5w30 ( I searched every manual) i want to help for crv lovers. (Honda oil-Liquid Moly- Mobile 1- Valvoline- Elf-Total BEST BRANDS) reliable sources. And for coolant fluid use only Honda Genuine COOLANT (Type-2) OR blue coolants (Mannol, Zerex, Peak, Valvoline, Prestone)

    Manual states, that best oil for 2.2 CDTi is 0w30, is 5w40 good for that engine aswell?

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  Před 3 lety

      The oil approvals for this engine are as follows
      ACEA C2
      ACEA C3
      Oil viscosities for this engine are SAE 0W-30 | SAE 5W-30 | SAE 0W-40 | SAE 5W-40
      SAE 5W-40 - suitable if there is an ACEA C2 or ACEA C3 approval.

    Why is the new oil when dipped stick tested after refilling still so black? If the old oil was drained, it should be like the colour of the new oil that had just gone in.

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  Před 6 lety

      Thank you for your feedback! Full draining of the old is not possible. For a better refilling, you can use the engine wash. It will remove more old oil. Best Regards, Autodoc

      It's because he didn't drain the oil with the filter still open because if you drain the oil with the filter of that kind still open it'll make an airsocket in that filtercup and it won't drain the oil from the cup

      vaiski 500 So is it best to change the filter before draining the oil? Thanks

    this engine is different from 2004 in the USA honda car. My filter is under the car engine in the rear, the front tire I must take off and put rags on the axle to catch dripping oil. I don't know gen 1 from gen 2 cars . But i have seen a few Hondas that were all the same

      Thank you for the feedback! Everything depends on the engine, which is fitted in your car. Unfortunately, we have no possibility to make videos about each engine for this car model. Watch out for the upgrades, maybe, the video you are interesting in, will appear on our channel. Best regards, Autodoc.

    you should use 0w33, not 5w40

    • @autodocuk

      Thank you for your feedback! The 5w30 oil is suitable to this car and fully complies with all the specifications required by the car manufacturer. Best regards, Autodoc.

      autodoc.co.uk incorrect the car specifies in the handbook 0W-30 Fully Synthetic C2/C3 grade oil for that engine. Also with the genuine Honda filter you also get a brand new sump bolt washer...did you also fit this? I’m sure the oil you used will be okay but I just like to stick to the OEM recommendations 👍🏼 Thanks for the tutorial, very useful guide.

      Paul has the right!
      Manual says 0w30! In case the 0w30 is not available, you can use 5w30 but for next oil change must be 0w30 again.

    Wrong way to do it!!
    First drain old oil and then change the filter,not like he do it first filter then oil!!

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  Před 4 lety +1

      Thank you for your comment.
      In this case, the location of the oil filter is located above the oil level, so you can replace it in any order.
      Best Regards,
