- Was hoping to test ride a Z1000 but they didn't have a demo bike available so got the Z1000SX instead.

13:20, lets see if this guy tries to kill us, and you even slowed down in case you needed to make a safety manueveur. Good job, thumbs up for being a safe responsible rider. Most reviews are just people trying to go as fast as they can doing a bunch of 0-60 stuff. this was a good review. thanks
Nice test and greetings from the Harz Mountains Germany. By the way you can tell this was filmed in the UK ........ bloody pot holes everywhere !
+simon fuller Lol, yeah we do like our pot holes!
I miss 2015 Moments
About to pick one of these up next week, great video thank you.
Great Test
went and got one, Fantastic bike
subscribed, awesome vid! nice to see a nice vid in the uk for once instead of the us. This is my dream bike!!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video!
Nice test and nice colour
Good review of the z1000sx I think you go it just right.
terry franks Cheers!
Yes I have a sreet triple and it really is a fantastic bike. Maybe that's why I was disappointed with the ninja.
Thanx a lot dude
I hope that you test ride the naked z1000 2016 soon ....
I like the easy going roundabout-traffic in the first path, very gentle :D Would love to learn there :)
Btw: Cool video, very informative. Thanks!
Cheers!
Liked mine all round good but the need to move thru the gears too frequently was somewhat annoying.
I love those slip roads too but have never been round them on my bike yet, only in my car. I'm also thinking about testing this bike out and may very well end up on that same one you tested from if it's from Laguna Kawasaki in Ashford. Great review.
pipnmaz I like using those slip roads to work on my body position, especially now that I have to gopro, I can watch myself and see how I'm doing. I'm much better at going left than right for some reason.
Thanks for this review. Now this looks more like a replacement for my Sprint! Chocked full of rider tech and a slip plus assist clutch! £1000 cheaper than the Tiger Sport with panniers too. Cheers.
Отличный мот,самый красивый в своем классе!
Did u notice the tingly vibes over 7000 revs and weak rear brake. The screen makes a lot of wind noise. Try a street triple, love mine.
Peter Clifford I get quite a lot of vibration out of the hornet at 7000rpm, one of my 1st videos is about that lovely sensation. Also didn't notice the weak rear break, might be because the hornet is no better, or that I'm a terrible rider and rarely use the rear break above 10mph. Looking forward to trying a speed triple soon.
Munkeh's Motors The street is more fun, it's so light and flickable compared to the bigger speed and will do 75 in 1st... Better yet, try the R version of both.
I have to say I really enjoyed the Speed Triple (Test Ride #3 if you haven't seen it). As I was leaving the dealer I got chatting to a guy on a street triple R and he said he preferred it over the speed. Will have to see if I can test ride a triple some point soon so I can compare it.
firstly great review! definitely informative. 1 question how did you get such a long test ride? my garages in Wales all are only 1 hour
Sometimes they say be back in an hour, sometimes a couple... I guess it's up to how the sales guy is feeling and how busy they are with test rides that day. Got lucky I guess!
Munkeh's Motors ye I suppose. Well after watching this video I actually took one out myself earlier on today and Wow! this bike feels like a proper sports bike. Couldn't get over how instant the power delivery was. Definite bike consideration for me now lol.
Looking at going for 1 of these. Would be using my zzr1400 as px. Any advice would be grateful. I know the zzr is a phenomenal machine but valve clearance cost and going through brakes like it does, would i be make a wise decision or would i regret it for the rest of my life ? 🤷🏼♂️👍🏻✌️
Try BMW k1300r if you'd like to experience raw power ;) good review
Chris Rudecki Thanks, yeah the K1300R has ridiculous amounts of power and torque, will definitely have to try one.
Did you tried it through tight bends (2nd, 3rd gear)? How does the handling compare with a 600 neked bike? Does it feel much havier? tnx
+zan marinic From what I can remember I didn't notice the weight in the bends, but it was quite a while ago now...
Interesting you said the missus likes the black and red. Mine banned me from buying a black/red bike (or even the red Ducati 899!), thinking they were penis extensions. Ended up buying the Z1000sx in Grey - which I'm loving totally :)
YarekBalear She's all about the black and red, her CBF125 is black and red and so's half the stuff in the house!
How do you like the ninja 1000 compared to the Suzuki gxs1000f?
From what I can remember the Suzuki felt a bit faster, but I did have quite a gap between riding each one, so would need to ride them back to back really. But from what I can remember I preferred the Suzuki.
Thanks for replying back! I like the Suzuki but...with no bag system I like the ninja because it's more practical.
