- Welcome to my channel Crochet for Baby. In today's tutorial I will show you how to crochet this easy to do Bella cardigan or baby jacket for a baby girl from 0-3 months. Since this is a long tutorial, I decided to split the video into three parts.

For this crochet Bella baby sweater tutorial I used lion brand pound of love yarn in the color cherry and a 4mm crochet hook. I also used about 140g (315 yd) of yarn. You can accessorize this little cardigan with a bow just like i did on the last button by simply sewing it in along the front panel to one side or simply leave it without. Either way its gorgeous.

It’s going to be big. More like 6-12 months. Use a 5 mm instead.

Hi there, thank you so miuch for this tutorial, i managed to make this cardigan using Rico Baby Dream DK yarn with 4mm hook ( yarn recommendation ) however 0-3 months looks very large & im wondering how would i made it for newborn or premie-newborn baby? If i do less rows, how do i know how many rows on the sleeves? Thanks a mill x
Just use a smaller hook like 3mm or 3.5.

Hi. I love your tutorials. I just made this cardigan for 0-3 months using 4ply yarn..like you did. Do you also have matching items using 4ply and the same size as the cardigan using 4ply? I looked thru your videos but only seem to find items such as hats or mittens but using a 3ply. not 4ply. I want to use the same yarn for a matching hat, gloves, and shoes. Thank you!

Your tutorial was very easy to follow. However, I used a 5 mm crochet hook and my sweater seems very large for a 3 month old. Could you tell me what the measurements should be on this sweater?
It’s probably the yarn I used that made it much smaller and my tension. Try making it with baby yarn instead as I later learned that this particular brand of yarn is much thinner more like baby yarn #3.

Hello, I loved your videos and want to try one by myself, as I am very new to crochet , and I have a superfine yarn, can i make this cardigan with this thickness of yarn and what size hook I must use for the same.

Actually it is mentioned like Thickness - 4ply , 1 or superfine, 1.5mm. I had the same difficulty in making a baby hat also so, I made same yarn off 3 strand . They have mentioned hook size like 3.75 or 3.25 but for this cardigan I think I should chain more? For hook size suggested by them. I am sorry , if I sound confusing you..

I see there's 0-3 months and 6--12 but does anyone know of the adjustment for 3-6months. Or for the 0-3 months what adjustments are needed (if it can be done) using a 3/light yarn instead of 4/medium worsted? Thanks!
To make the cardigan smaller for 3-6 months, you can make the 6-12 months cardigan in the same way with #3 yarn and a 4.5mm crochet hook. Good luck and thanks for watching.
