You need to try the EVO RWD, you get all the goodness of the STO in a package that can handle road use and at a lower price. CCB amd 19" wheels recommended for best compliance

Nice mid-week video, Sam! Nice to see you out and about with a Lambo. I bet you wish you could be on a LA canyon road like VV. Strangely, he hasn't owned one a in a few years. Ya..too much power for those little English roads. But we should enjoy and cherish them as long as they are with us.

The brakes are the main thing I'm still getting used to on the car. They are the most touchy and grabby brakes I've ever experienced. On the first drive, there came moments where just tapping the brakes made me feel like I was going to fly out the windshield haha (well, if I didn't wear seatbelts it probably would!)
Fyi I'm 6'1" with an EVO RWD Spyder with the Sport seats. Best position is with the base of seat all the way up and then move the seatback back. Super comfy, been able to do 5+ hour stints, no problems after I figured out
That mark 1 engine is so much better sounding, I think it’s gorgeous too

In most videos they hang a Go-Pro above the exhaust pipe, they seem to have surprisingly good mics.

Sa, awesome video. But if you say the STS & SC were track version, then for sure the Performante qualifies. In fact, unlike the STS and SC, the Performante actually had a Nurburgring track record title, something not even the STO has. So, just a little love the the Performante please 😎 @seenthroughglass
The STO is more insane than the Perf, because the Perf is more of a street car. STO makes you feel like you took delivery of an actual race car.

This is just an AMAZING car, I love absolutely love it 🥰❤️
But this exemplifies why I think track only cars aren't the best versions of cars, the best version of cars is a softer, more comfortable, easier to live with car that still delivers most of the excitement! Think more, Huracán Tecnica than STO, more 911 GTS than GT3 (Although I wish the 911 GTS had the engine sound of the GT3) but yeah :)

The mid 2000s really was the golden era of supercars. Just enough lunacy to get your adrenaline rushing but civilized enough to live with and that Superleggera embodies that. That gen 1 Gallardo is still beautiful today 15 years on and arguably has a nicer exhaust pitch without the artificially synthesized "pops and bangs". Maybe Im just a traditionalist that way but good lord it's a fabulous machine. And the Huracan is a great successor as well and a bit sad of a curtain call as it makes it's final tribute with 1 more edition coming soon from Lambo before it officially hangs up its cape to welcome the new successor (probably with turbos or electrification).

I think the STO is the last of the mohicans. NA V10, rear wheel drive and no electric motor of any sorts. They have more than enough power to have fun and less enough to be still drivable.
These things are going to be very valuable.

Insuring this is genuinely a nightmare. Due to the plastic key to pop the hood, you have many clauses that make it impossible to use. But then, it's already pretty tough to use daily.
I owned the SL for over 10 years great car wish I still had it ..;
STO = future classic no doubt
I've driven right hand drive cars but never have driven on the opposite side of the road in another country I think that would be so weird I think that would be the hardest part for me to get used to I can drive on the right hand side but it would take me a minute to get used to the opposite Lanes

I a huracan STO visit us at work this week. and oh god that thing is so insanely loud, camera does not do it justice one bit.

I think I prefer the mk1 by a good bit. I think Sam's doing it a disservice saying it's 30 years old looking by comparison. It actually reminds me of the shape, or at least partial modelling, of his 360 in many ways.

I suspect the Tecnica is the sweetspot, and would eliminate most of your gripes about the STO 🤔

That first road you were on was so narrow , in North America that would be narrow even for a private drive way . What do they call that in the UK , a C road ? Even your B roads are wide enough for 2 cars .

It‘s possible to have a good spec for a STO? i thought you have to go overboard with the complementary colours....
I genuinely think it’s such an incredible piece of engineering! But it’s definitely the definition of pushing the limits of what an automotive company can do. It is so compromised and so focused on the track that it really is a one trick pony which makes it incredibly special but also once again compromised. In my opinion, the better buy would be a Performante. Yes it pertains the AWD system however it gains the ALA system and fixes the usability quite a lot. There’s more visibility, there’s the option of comfort seats, and it would be a better car to enjoy taking out although it is not as special as the STO.
If the Gallardo was in Giallo, it would look fantastic, Black doesn't do the lines any favours, its very angular, the paint should play to that.

The 1st vid I ever watched of Sam's was when he was in LA and got thrown the keys to an F12 (my fav car at the time) and was hooning around and he had a line slagging off the F12 cause it was front engine and I thought who is this British prick driving around my American roads talking shit about my favorite car?! I haven't missed a video since and I watched all the ones before that one. Later in the video he loved the F12 and I loved the content. This car is a perfect toy for rich people who already have multiple cars in their collection and practicality or daily driving didn’t even cross their mind when they bought this thing. It’s only purpose is to make you smile when you approach it to go for a ride and to make you feel like a complete hooligan for a moment. If you find a circuit with a smooth surface and no noise limits it will be super fun to trash around with glorious engine noise. That’s why anyone would buy the STO.
How do you shoot those drone shots? @5:20 it's sick. So much effort goes into these videos. I'm getting so bored of Shmee just filming himself talking in a car. I know he's a good friend and that but your channel deserves so much credit for the effort you put in.

I think it is the duration of Shmee's videos is the problem as they are far too long especially the shmusem video's. They just talk shite too much, all three of them are all just constantly correcting each other.

Lambo only makes 3 models. How many SPECIAL editions do they make. 1 every 6 months. LP-580, LP 610, LP 640, Evo, Evo rwd, Evo GT, STO, Tecnica. All the above but in spyder form....
