Arty and Andy have the most incredible house and that garden is amazing, so happy for them! Love Phil even more after cuddling that baby! Kirsten and Phil make me smile and/or laugh out loud!
I'm too inquisitive and found the house. They still own it! (Hasn't been sold since they bought it in 2007)
I do love the humor of Phil Spencer and Kirsty Allsopp!
Gorgeous homes and gardens!! I Really enjoy this series - British home shows are so much better than US shows and snarky hosts (realtors). These hosts are nice, funny and like each other. Very refreshing.
Plus, some interesting and different properties. American properties start seeming too much the same after awhile.
Let's not take the flattery too far. I very much enjoy many American home decor shows. I like this show and I love the hosts.
Yes, I totally agree!! I love this show!!
Would've been nice if all your couples are this nice and happy like these 2 couples...
Baby Nichol, what a sweet name and a gorgeous little one
That grade 2 bourse is probably worth more than 10 million in 2023. In 2007, it was asking for 795,000. Best buy!
Lovely couples. The housing crash didn't help increase values, but today they should be sitting pretty. TFS
i just love phil's humor
Strategic landscaping can fix overlooked garden.
I was fortunate enough to see the original house hunt. It is wonderful to return and see how they made their houses into homes. Wishing both beautiful couples a wonderful future. Thanks for sharing your house-hunting adventures, and giving us a peek at your homes after the purchase.
Lovely couples and lovely houses made into beautiful homes! Well done Phil and Kirsty and the new owners of property and good taste! XXX
That is a house the doctor couple could invite royalty to!
Gosh, I'm watching this show a long time, 18 years have flown by. Both houses due another visit. 🤗
Both couples knew what was needed and wanted out of a house. Both found what it was they were looking for. The work both couples have done has only enhanced the properties. It would be interesting to catch up with both some 15 years on to see if the houses work in the long term.
That's not always possible though. By now, they probably changed their contact information and they're not able to get a hold of them. 15 years is a long time, you know? I certainly do not have the same contact information I did in 2008, lol.
@@Kevin-sm8pn I quite agree it may well be impossible, but that does not change the fact that it would be interesting to see how the houses adapted long term. Snail mail to the address would be a way to determine if the same people own the property and if they wish to do a follow-up. If they have moved, the new owners may be interested. Also, a good many people do have the same contact information. My phone number has not changed in the last 15 years and 6 phones. Come to that, neither has my email address. I grant I am maybe a bit odd, but my car registration number has not changed, either. The car is still on its original 33 year old licence plates. Here in Ontario, the plate stays with the owner, not the car except in certain very limited circumstances.
I enjoy your videos. You two are wonderfully intertaining. A grandmother from Clearwater, Florida.
Oh my!!! Both are forever finds!! Great work!!
Phil seems like a lovely Man. I like Kirsty too.
Great outcomes 🎉the Dr s home is fabulous huge garden
It's that one show where they want to buy a house and then they do. Excellent stuff.
If you saw the original programme , the follow up starts at about 32 mins in
Very happy homes, so worth it for you two. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💙💚❤️👏👏👏👏🥰🤗
Such a huge bathroom and it only has a dinky pedestal sink (the first house the doctors looked at). I guess it's a cultural thing with UK homes, but here in the U.S. there'd be a good-sized vanity with double sinks.
Such a fabulous episode, thank you for posting!
What an amazing few couples and my neck of the woods tooo thou sadly not purse strings for 2nd home....lol
Just a dream come true for a very happy family! How lucky that Phil and Kirsty keep finding these amazing perfect homes for their clients! I don't wonder that they'd wish to find a way to doppelgänger themselves to take care of all the clients they have after watching these videos :). Wouldn't I wish to find "a Phil and Kirsty" to find us our dream home here in the states... (sigh)... :)
Love this episode
Andy could plant a tree to block the neighbor from seeing the yard and house.
Non-running giant bamboo.
445,000 under asking? Amazing.
Beauchief, I would never be able to guess the pronunciation. Lol.
2007
why do they always want to put elderly parents in the attic?!
It’s not so much that they want to. It’s just where the space is, especially if you want a separate annex.
🤣
picky, picky, picky?!?...wouldn't you be?!?
Justine and Deborah have destroyed the wonderful 50s vibe, what a shame, I thought they had better taste, their decor in the bathroom and sitting room looks cheap and already dated
Um.....you don’t think a red bathtub and toilet are outdated? Colored toilets don’t add value to a house, hon. lol
The 50s is dated and tacky. they'll be okay.
As Brits who have lived in the USA for over 50 years we loved watching this series and contrasting the differences in the housing markets between the two countries.
We are still VERY close to our families in the W. Midlands and visit very often, England is still HOME.
We have owned 8 houses and are VERY familiar with the housing market, an important part of the description of an American home is the size of the living area in square feet. Yet this is hardly EVER mentioned in this series, we have watched 5 or 6 episodes and only ONCE was the size of the house mentioned, it was 3,000 sqft and was considered to be a big house.
In contrast our house in Central Tennessee in a very nice area 20 miles south of Nashville is 4,000 sqft with 4 very large bedrooms, large living room and kitchen 3 1/2 bathrooms a huge Family/Recreation room, large pantry and laundry, the size of 3 car garage is not included in the 4,000 sqft. There is a large covered patio with stone gas fired fireplace at the back, there is of course heating and Air Conditioning with separate systems for upstairs and downstairs and they work VERY WELL, central TN gets ver hot in the summer.
It is valued at about $1.1M which is double what we paid just 5 years ago.
Thanks for the very interesting videos but PLEASE include the square footage in the property description.
I'd rather not see square footage. Just seeing your comment where you feel the need to announce the (unnecessarily large) square footage of your home and all the rooms cements that thought. It mainly seems important to US real estate shows and their viewers. Other nationalities seems to focus more on location and functionality.
You would RATHER NOT SEE THE SQUARE FOOTAGE.
Do you have a REASON for that?
How many times has a realtor taken someone to a home only to find that it is the size of a large kennel.
A simple glance at the Sq Footage WOULD HAVE SAVED THEM A WASTED JOURNEY.
You can scan down a list of properties looking at the Sq Footage and easily eliminate properties that are too small or too big, without wasting a journey.
You can easily come back to these UNSUITABLY SIZED PROPERTIES IF NOTHING IS FOUND IN SUITABLY SIZED PROPERTIES.
The Sq Footage can also give you a good INDICATION of the cost of Electricity and Gas and property taxes.
All that can be done in a few minutes.
But you apparently would rather NOT SEE THE SIZE OF THE PROPERTY.
How many OTHER NATIONALITIES focus more on location and “FUNCTIONALITY”.
What exactly is the FUNCTIONALITY of a home?
Do you mean, how many rooms, how many bathrooms, how many parking spaces or garages, COST.
How strange I have discovered that those EXACT SAME FEATURES ARE OF OF PRIMARY IMPORTANCE TO ALL BUYERS.
Did I ANNOY you by describing my home, were you PIQUED by my apparent boastfulness, well were you?
So you decided to respond with a snarky, mean spirited, deprecating comment.
I just noticed again that your screen name is E, obviously you are a person of limited means when it comes to creating a persona.
Hardly surprising really.
Oh remember that when a REALTOR shows you a descriptions of a property that he ERASES THE SQ FOOTAGE from the description first.
@@oldedwardian1778 lol. Here I was thinking we were only talking about them saying the square footage of the houses being viewed in the show. Silly me. Sorry for the nerve I obviously hit.
@@ellieb3930Oh don't concern yourself , that's OK, I'm 80 yo and enjoying my retirement with my wife and a great family. I am truly concerned about these INSANE pols, my granddaughter will be able to vote in the next election. I have threatened her that if she votes for a REPUBLICAN I WILL REMOVE HER FROM MY WILL.
Best wishes.
