Bro Hua Cheng literally took me myself and I to a whole other level. It’s more like me myself and my 50 other names 💀
Even Xie Lian isn't an exception. The book never brings it up again, but during the flashbacks we see that he killed _thousands_ during the war with Yong An. He was pressured into picking a side, but he struggled with how easy it was to squash people like ants. He was already a god then, but still.
I think the books needed to remember that fact a bit more. It lends a bit more weight to Xie Lian's self-loathing, because with nearly everything else it wasn't his fault.
As for SVSSS, if you like I'll tell you _specifically_ what happens. I got through it because I knew what was going to happen and going in blind would suck, especially if you haven't read an MXTX sex scene before. Spoilers below.
2Ha is also _much much worse_ about non-con. It is relentless.

Much of the comedy comes from the readers knowing things the main character does not. The readers know why Binghe is behaving the way he is (because he's in love with MC) but he does not. 'Why is the Protagonist spending time with me, an Old Man, rather than the cute waifus?'
This extends into a lot of the non-consensual stuff. I think their first kiss happens in a dreamscape where Binghe thinks MC is a dream and is therefore more forceful. But it is 'just' a kiss and the comedy is that Binghe is _bad_ at it. It's like the scene with Hua Cheng in the temple if Hua Cheng was trying to bite Xie Lian's face off rather than actually competent.
This carries on where you never get the impression MC is particularly into the kissing, ever. On a reread it becomes slightly more likely he's heavily in denial but even so. Binghe is characterised as an over-eager idiot. He's also infantilised by the MC which is... weird. I wouldn't mind so much if we got confirmation (rather than just hints) that the puppy dog eyes are just an act but ehhh.
As for the sex. That happens as a sort of? Subversion of 'fuck or die' but also kind of just playing it straight. Binghe's out of his mind with evil energy and MC decides the best way to deal with it is sex, knowing it's gonna absolutely suck and it's a really _stupid_ thing to do, but wanting to prove to Binghe that he wants him around and doesn't hate him at all actually.
It is... visceral. In general MXTX isn't good at writing sex imho. Even the stuff in Mo Dao is honestly bad in a 'bodies don't work that way' kind of way. (If there's blood, that's bad! That's not hot!)
But in this case it is actually supposed to be bad and awful. What I don't like is that the MC then immediately has to comfort Binghe when he turns on the waterworks, even if he lampshades how unfair that is it's just... eh.
I got through it because it's somewhat brief and I knew it was coming. Would hate someone to go in blind. I put up with it because the rest of it is honestly hilarious.

I want to watch your content so hey, I am not really that averse to spoilerish content. So will give a watch :)
Idk if you said you will read mdzs or not but I will say the novel is much better as the source, and it has a lot of characterization that I believe the live action isn’t able to to because of censorship, not just the explicit queerness but morality of character
