    Well done. Yes, I too use the Yellow 1500RPM Torque Spring with the Blue 1000RPM Clutch Springs for a less abrupt smoother take-off. and engagement. Plus it stays engaged longer downhill off the gas before it freewheels.

    Yeah it looks sweet for sure, I got me a just as sweet if not more CVT set-up on my Yamaha BWS/Booster/Zuma too... I also use to have the spring housing upgrade with the bearings there,it improved both take-off and accelerations but I ended up removing it because a more experienced friend warned me that this part is preventing the speed drive's pulley from opening completely as the bearings housing is creating a kind of a step to the torque spring which's taking some travel away from the pulley which in time isn't allowing the belt to reach the center area of the speed drive's shaft. Ultimately this translates into loss of top speed as you're not seizing your speed drive's full capabilities. Malossi's yellow torque spring guide for the opposite end of the spring also creates the same problem as this part's also a bit too thick 🤷🏻‍♂️...

I'm almost sure it was a 669x18x30 jonway belt, if I cannot find a Gates kevlar belt will a different brand kevlar belt be worth it? or should I just get the gates rubber belt?

    Whats the benefit of changing the rollers into those sliders.
    Also I have a clutch housing that seems to have worn out a little evident from the marks where the clutch makes contact that it's thinner on that area.

    I have a Naraku super trans. I think it had 6 gram weights with the kit. I used the stock torque spring I believe is 1000rpm. After riding it 30 miles I pulled the trans cover off to check everything. The belt does not climb all the way up the drive (rear) pully to get lowest ratio. Tried a 1500rpm torque spring but that gave me high rpm's and no speed. The belt still didn't climb to the top of the drive pully

    1.- I have a 150cc scooter, what spring color you recommend me to use?

    What clutch and varriator and what weight sliders would you recommend for a 50cc bored to 80cc scooter? I get about 48mph now on flat straight and 56 downhill but my prob is it bogs down bad going uphill only about 35mph, I'm looking for more tourqe more top end where I'm not winding it out so much and more uniform speed and power uphill, I've tuned the motor about as much as possible, racing CDI, racing coil and performance plug performance exhaust with minimal baffle and super flow carb, I've just not messed with the transmission yet and I know that's where my prob is . Please help.

    • @GarethKing1
      @GarethKing1 Před 2 lety

      I would recommend a larger engine, 50cc bored to 80cc is very agressive so you shouldn't push it to the limit, it won't last very long (unless the OEM 50cc was incredibly overbuilt, which would make it exceedingly heavy on a low-power machine). 125cc are cheap.

    • @RollingWrench
      @RollingWrench  Před 7 lety +1

      Yes, a lighter variator will supply a faster throttle response due to its ligther rotating mass. the lining (teflon coating) is there to supply reliability. belt dust wont build up as much on a teflon coated variator.

    How the hell do you get the belt back on when using a contra spring that's 1500+? I can squeeze the pulley at 1000 to slip the belt on the clutch but using the yellow or red....there's no freaking way. How do you do it? I can't seem to find anyone actually showing how they do it.

  • @travispage3020

    So I bought a ncy complete cvt performance kit and put 12g sliders in and came with 1500 "yellow" contra and three 2000 "red" clutch springs..
    The motor is pushing right at 180cc and when I give gas it takes forever to actually move... I. E. High rpm
    What am I doing wrong?

    • @martinfrankiewicz7820
      @martinfrankiewicz7820 Před 2 lety

      No one tells you thats what the ncy supplied component set up does. It did the same shit to me and i hated it. Yeah its great if you love screaming down your driveway and going no where. I had to rev up to about 4800 rpm to get any engagement and was pissed. My engine ran at 8200 rpm and actually lost top speed. Complete opposite of what is advertised out of the box. Now i have two sets of tuning weights and an engine thats been into more than i can count.
