What is the name of the song you used 16.00-16.55?
What's the names of the apps you used to 3d model it on your phone?
Cool
What?
5th!
Dude, you are one of the hardest working CZcamsrs in the business. Can't believe how much work goes into building a trail. So interesting.
Seriously. I feel bad being so lazy, I’m tired after just thinking of picking up,tools. This dude is planning, building, filming, editing... sick job.
Yah and then you have to put the video together! What takes longer?
you forgot to add: And one of the most entertaining!
Paul the Punter is pretty badass too! He uploads quality videos.
The amount of work that goes into any trail is nuts, you are doing a great job of documenting the effort that goes in that Majority of riders don't appreciate.
This video is an excellent example of how hard trail builders work FOR FREE to create such amazing things for us to ride. Thank-you Eric, Yuka, and all the others that helped. I can't wait to see your completed trail. And thanks to all those trail builders out there that volunteer their time and effort! Our sport wouldn't exist with out you!
Words spoken from a legend
Love that 3D-camera function. You should do a video where you show your recording equipment.
Yes! This could be very useful for a lot of us.
What’s the app called?
What’s the app called
He use polycam to scan, and jigspace for the augmented reality with an iPhone 12 max.
Agreed, this is a cutting edge workflow for this kind of design.
Ok, I have to appreciate the ad timing in all his videos, they come when he's going to a different scene and not in the middle of a sentence. Keep up the good work!
Gotta say that your use of AR and Lidar in this is the coolest trailbuilding video parts I've ever seen! Very smart use of technology.
Some futuristic trail building shit going on here....So Fricken Cool!!
It's a good day when BCpov uploads
If berm peak and bcpov (seth and eric) helped on each others trails and made a video about it i would click faster than 1 billion time the speed of light
Thnx for the heart eric! Luv yah vids
Same dude I guess it would be a race
@@adinchandler9077 i will be humble and rather give it too you since im a good sport
BRUH THEY SHOULD ACTUALLY DO IT
DO IT!
What is so awesome about these videos is that it isn't just MTB or trail riding. All of the additional stuff just adds the perfect complimentary spice (tree falling, milling, etc.). Love it!
My boi putting in the work👌🏻😩
Well... Pleasure seeing you here!
verify guy
This video is just put so well together you can tell it takes a long time to edit.
As a fellow Canadian, and former North Shore resident, I'm super proud and stoked to see you're doing everything with so much love and so properly. I live in Quebec City now, and my local spot is SDM (A place I know you love) but I do go back to BC every year. I can't wait to ride your trail, man. You're crushing this. Thank you for being so rad.
that 3D trail building is so cool
U know what the software he uses is called?
@@mtbewan5632
It's a program called Polycam but you need a pretty new iPhone 12 Pro version (or pro max, or 2020 ipad pro) with a LIDAR scanner to use it.
One of your BEST videos Eric.... The absolute BEST of BC.
this seriously is my favorite series..... GREAT job dude!
Thanks Sheyn :)
I absolutely love your videos. At first I assumed trailbuilders just took whatever wood they wanted, whether it was dead or alive. But your videos have shown me that you guys try to be as sustainable and environmentally friendly as possible and I really appreciate that!

The mountain this i built on is very hard to get up, but it is very beautiful looking down on the valley from the top of the road.
Great build, really enjoy ur vids.what software did you use for scanning the terrain? i m very interested for a trailbuild project. cheers from Tuscany
@@micaballe He uses polycam to scan, and jigspace for the augmented reality with an iPhone 12 max. Purtroppo funziona solo con un Iphone 12 :/
@@matthiascampedelli4321 grazie . peccato. cmq impressionante il livello del dettaglio per essere fatto cmq con strumentazione nn dedicata.

*Cop:* Whatcha boys been sniffing? I can see it on your nose.

Yeah he was snorting that saw dust also they can't get mad becuz it's not drugs like crack
I love watching these trailbuilding videos
how does his man only have 300k subscribers when his videos are this good?
Deforestation and entitlement, mostly.
@@gunargundarson1626 ? That tree was dead, and where did you get entitlement from lmao. Such a dumb comment
This channel is so underrated lol
So is the channel with only 10k 👍 eg @b1ker
This is a lot of work for such a simple hobby. It’s good to know people actually care about the outdoors now lol
The AR you are using and CAD'd features is really incredible. Makes creating features so much less math when you're getting the angles right by matching what you're seeing in AR. Really amazing.
The amount of effort you put into this stuff is admirable and eye opening! Looks absolutely beautiful! I cant wait to get my vaccines and go riding with some old friends this summer if restrictions ease up!
I don't even mountain bike, but for some reason, I love watching this channel.
Keep up the great work!
Can’t wait to see the jump in action
Props to OP for ingenuity and resourcefulness in the design and construction, but even more so for the back-breaking labor that was put into this project by all involved. I would hope those who ride this trail and feature watch this video and appreciate the effort. This video and others like it have given me a new-found respect for those that design, build, and maintain trails for the rest of us to enjoy. Great work! 👏🏼☺️
3D to RealD all in HD! woooo Donut lady!!! Due to a motorcycle accident I haven't been capable of mountain biking for 22 years. Your videos bring back feelings of excitement and joy. They bring me back to riding my hard tail on forest trails! Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou
Fantastic videos you make.. I show them to my Sunday School kids (to gather attention at the beginning of class) and they were awed at it being 148 years old. More than just MTB riding, thanks for the excellent way you craft them.
Using AR for building the trail absolutely blew my mind! So so cool!!!
What app do you use to do the 3D scanning? I want to do something like this in my backyard.
I’m using polycam to scan, and jigspace to for the augmented reality with an iphone 12 max (it has the lidar scanner)
Ok thank you!
@@BCpov There's a cool website called Voxxlr which lets u upload your scans, measure them and even add models. Its also built into chrome so you just have to type Voxxlr into google.
@@BCpov does this work on Android
@@BCpov did u download it from the app store or did u download it from a website
I love how much care and attention to detail you have for every part of this trail!
It's really satisfying to see such commitment to your mountain bike channel so seriously. Taking your career so seriously is inspiring to me to pursue my passions too. Thanks for all the effort, and best wishes towards a fast growing channel.
The photo scanning and use of 3d tools combined with AR is awesome! That's what this tech was meant for!
Your videos are just so good and entertaining. Keep it up!!
Greetings from Germany😉
That AR bit was insane... well done
thats a friggin beauty of a shot at the end there
I agree 100%
I want some of that cedar for a desk top.
Eric, you’re an absolute legend. Man of the people!
Please never stop doing these build videos!
Great video. I really like watching the process you go through to build as well as the riding.
Your trail building videos are so freaking satisfying !!
When people called this guy a eco warrior, he though he was to chop the trees down 😂
Using damaged trees is good idea, nice work man 😃🤙
These videos are so calming and exciting at the same time. Love being able to see the creation process and the final creation finished
The videos where u went around the world is how I wanted to try down hill mountain biking. Thanks. It’s a lot of fun
Man if Yuka makes those donuts. She should do a 'how to' because they look amazing!!
This is turning in to one of the best looking trails in the entire seatosky/fraser valley corridor - which is saying a lot.
BCpov setting a new bar for youtube trail building. Really enjoyed the use of technology.
Thank you for the video! I have an anxiety this makes me feel better somehow.
Been watching the channel for a while, but the passion for trail building and the skill to do it is absolutely amazing. Also living in one of the best parts of the world for mtb is a bonus, keep up the awesome work 🤙
Keep putting up the good work you inspire me to keep building my own trails
What about Whit a Long woden Plate going down in Serpentines , Lower the hill ?
That 3D tech is amazing dude 🤩🙏
Absolutely next level design and construction of wood features. Your use of AR is brilliant. Well done Eric!!
You know it’s gnarly when it looks hella steep even on camera
AR looks so exciting and amazing and helpful! I can't wait to have an opportunity to use it on my backyard trails!
This is the first time I actually saw the practical use of AR. Wow!!
I usually prefer your riding videos on gnarly trails, but this is a perfectly composed video start to finish, and transports the viewer into the woods.
You've managed to make an ugly clear cut look beautiful in that last shot 👌.
This is going to be the best trail on that whole mountain! And you’ve picked an excellent location with accessibility from a couple other trails. Amazing work Eric and team!
A lot of commitment went in to this, good Job!
Best trail building video I've ever seen. Amazing job.
Dang , This dude is a legend, Doing some serious work all by him self 🤘
This man has such a good work ethic. I would quit in about 2 seconds
Now I'm getting more hyped about this trail, as I'm to maple ridge (10 mins away from the woodlot) can't wait for you to finish it.
WOW, what a fantastic video. Loved how you re-used mother nature & incorporated it into the trail, bravo. A monumental effort by everyone, hats off. Would love to ride this trail one day
I dont understand How people (like you) so creative……..
When adding new sick features. It gets me pumped. Great Videos!!
I love how you use dead trees for your trails really cool!
I can only applaud your workethic! Great job! Thank you for all the great content.
Ohh thats the best of that job, the wood smells so good, it makes me feel happy and secure in the Nature
The 3D scan and AR is amazing. I love how it improves the construction efficiency and takes out so much guess work, measuring, fitting, etc. Freaking cool man!
It's only a small bit of water out the pipe but it's the little victories within a challenge that spur you on to finish 🤙 awesome video
Finally a I see a reason for VR. Really nice work. Can’t wait to see the next steps. I would say what are you doing is called commitment💪🏽💪🏽
I really appreciate finding these videos and having something to look forward to each week/every other week ever since last year (working remote in times of covid), your videos are awesome, inspiring, and fun. Thanks for all that you do and keep up the good work. Hopefully this summer we can see more visiting different locations and then the finished trail build. Awesome!
You are doing god's work my man
This made me so happy to watch! I spent 16 years as a powerline forester, mostly in the AB Rockies and a little bit in BC too! Even more stoked to see you rock the PPE and cutting a nice Humboldt (nice save too lol) hopefully I'll get out that way to check out your trail next summer 🤙
I didn't know I was interested in this until now.
Wow I had know idea how big the shark fin was until it had taken shape.
Amazing effort you put in!
So good 😊
already longing until the next episode comes out of your journey with this track! Keep up your job and have a good time!
15:24 Yuka supervising lol Both of you are awesome!

See! Designing video games has even more practical use! That AR stuff truly incredible!
Great video! Awesome use of tech with impressive planning and hard work! Can't wait to see this evolve.
I like these kind of videos you make
BC looks after trees more than most people look after their car!
The AR assist in the build was extremely cool
I loved this episode!
Man....what a job, the best trail building I've ever seen. Keep the good work Erick and Yuka!
Great combination of high tech and back breaking work. I'm just so sad you didn't yell "Timber!" when it fell.
This is absolutely awesome! Thanks for building and recording!
Brilliant! This is one of the coolest trail building vids I’ve seen in ages. Thanks for sharing and stay safe.
I love the way you approach trail building. Amazing work! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
