"Take this in with me. There is absolutely NOTHING going on in this house." Best line ever. Then they realize there is no dining space. I could watch this episode over and over again. No one else does remodeling shows like these two. All the others are copy cats.
What in the world was that odd fenced off area in front? I've never seen anything like that.
Personally, I would have just painted the existing tile on the fireplace and added a mid century modern clock or something. The tile was still in good shape, so it was wasteful. To me, the money might have been better spent in the front yard. The mulch in front was not appealing.
That being said, everything they do looks nice and it's their call.
Shower looks like a prison. A very small prison.
I’m AMAZED at the price ppl pay for a house in CA n then r impressed that there’s indoor laundry!! Should have a whole laundry room for that price!!

Don't like the striped tile at all. The eating area is called a blanket. They could have given it some colored cushions.
Love Tarek and Christina as a cute couple who are making it work. My absolute favorite show, Flip or Flop!!!! I would only watch them if I had to chose a remodeling show. 😊
They are divorced. She’s married to some one else and had another baby.

Not gonna lie that was weird when he said that because I'm like arent ya guys divorced but I'm guess after being married for 10 years it's still hard for them to get out of the habit

The cabinets in the kitchen look very cheap. That small "dining" area with hard wooden benches does not cut it. No refrigerator nor washer/dryer for $525,000?
There is no curb appeal at all. Plastic plants in every room.
They NEVER include a w/d, and hardly ever a fridge (only in the extremely high end homes). This is totally normal, as the fridge and w/d are considered personal property (just like furniture), not part of the house. You also need to realize that the area the house is in, Orange County/ coastal Southern California, is extremely expensive. This episode is very old, but that home would now sell for over a million dollars in that location.

@@feliciac298: They wanna sell those houses, you know that, don't you. They don't wanna sell this to a specific client. They have to do it that way, so a lot (not all, but most) buyers are attracted to that. Sure, it looking always kind of equal, but nobody wants to buy something "extraordinary" for that kind of money.
They have to appeal to a wide range of buyers, obviously. Also you never have anything nice to say on any of these videos, just don't watch them maybe?

The stacked stone fireplace is pretty but it's not mid-century modern. Like, at all. It's the opposite of mcm style. I don't understand why Christina would even bring that up.
