@@NikNocturnalTwitchClips was lucky enough to catch Spiritbox at one of their two sold out shows in London. They pulled Harper up on stage during Holy Roller. Was a fantastic gig because everyone who attended knows they saw a band on the cusp of becoming huge and unlikely to play a venue that size ever again. Was pretty tired after seeing Deftones the night before - also sold out - and Meshuggah the week before. Spiritbox were sick live.
I love how vague her responses are, when the judge said "what will you be doing for us today?", she could have said "I'm going to be singing a metal song and doing some screams" or something like that, but she just said "I'm a singer", which made the reveal what she actually was going to do all the more glorious lol
She should have dropped the old “I’m gonna be doing some singing and some screaming”

When I saw this on TV, I jumped off my couch and screamed when I heard the song start lol Family looked at me like I was insane as I'm screaming "yesss Spiritbox!"
I'm glad more people are realizing that metal is not just screaming your lungs out,
but it requires dedication, training and technique how to sound good, without hurting vocal cords.

Yooo this is fuckin awesome. I remember seeing her original cover of holy roller before and thought it was pretty nuts. But her getting on agt with a spiritbox song? That is fire af. (Also yes that girl covering her ears instantly needs to expand her horizons, probably one of the people that says metal is just noise smh)
I wouldn’t take too much from the audience, most are told how to react, you notice people at the start who look terrified of the song at the start and are jumping up and down at the end.
@@evilemuempire9550 In these shows they ask the audience to do different reactions between acts so that they can edit that stuff in later. Most of the clips they show of the audience's reactions weren't recorded at the same time as the act.
I think people overlook that mainstream is the only reason most of us even start to get into metal. Like how many of our first introductions into metal were by bands like Slipknot, SOAD, Evenescence ect.. Or hell even Slayer/Pantera/Ozzy. But this kid will inspire a lot of young metalheads, it's great.

When people who are aware of vocal strategies and coaching are put in a position to judge, I feel they have no choice other than too take their hats off... It may not be music of choice, but harsh vocals have been accepted as an art and difficult. She did great for a 10 year old... She did great for anybody honestly.
