If Noclip documentaries were to be broadcasted on TV, I'd seriously only watch that channel. The production quality is always so good.
Thanks so much. It means a lot because there's just a handful of us making these.
I wouldn't because the advertisements would ruin the flow of the show
@@NoclipDocs keep up the great work I am always excited whenever you guys upload.

Innersloth seem like the loveliest bunch of people, their success couldn't have happened to a more deserving group
It's fun with friends for sure. For couple of hours. But public lobbies are full of 3rd countries braindeads,
mostly Muslims from Iran and
other trash brainless people, so it's the people what makes it garbage. But yeah great job innersloth - they made millions for sure and the game had no updates at all, and it's full of cheaters. It's sad

I don't think any of the devs will fully understand the visceral reaction the words "Among us" causes. Everytime I hear those words, my face contorts into a smile, forcing me to repeat what I've just heard.
Truly a game that has changed online culture forever.
AMONG US!!!!‼️‼️‼️‼️
Haha definitely not something we ever expected

I remember laughing my ass off when eternals came out on disney + and I watched it but there was a beginning monolog and it said among us in it and I couldn't stop laughing🤣
Even though I am incredibly tired of hearing about this game, I really respect the people behind it for what they've accomplished.
I don't know what it says about me that I still think among us is the funniest meme ever
Always nice to see newgrounds natives find success. There was so much innovation and experimentation there.

*EMERGENCY MEETING*
When the documentary is well-made 😳
When the devs aren’t sus 😳
Sussymentary
Even though I've never played the game, it makes me happy to see hard working indie devs get the recognition they deserve.
Wow, what a bunch of genuinely nice, hard-working and collaborative people. It's always amazing to see Newgrounds alum have success, too. I've never played Among Us but I have watched many, many hours of my favorite streamers play and it's always a laugh. Just overall glad to see good people having success doing the things they love to do, the world needs more of that.
Thanks for the awesome work on the documentary, too - it's really neat to see the other side of my/our collective favorite games, and I appreciate the obvious care and time that went into making this. Great job everybody!
among us is a special game. oversaturation should not make a game less special. it will always be that fun game to play with others with an artstyle that will stay iconic. i love among us with all my heart and seeing it or mentioning it will always make me happy. honestly, this game changed my life positively and i will continue to enjoy it's presence.

You've got the right spirit 👍
Creators seem super genuine. Seems very deserving, happy for them.
"oh no 300 concurrent players what to do" lol
its funny in retrospective that 300 players at one time was a huge issue.
Holy shit. Noclip hitting a homerun again

This is the most wholesome doc Noclip has put out! Haha good work!
yeah bet
This is probably my favorite doc yall have made. As much as I always love all the talk to designers I really loved all the great questions in this doc toward community management, biz dev, tech stack and seeing how the whole game comes together. Bravo noclip! And Bravo to Innersloth for capturing the zeitgeist and our hearts with those evil bean astronauts
Have some amazing memories of this game and playing it before it started trending world wide

You and the other SR guys were the reason I got back into among us, and deception games in general. Shame you guys never get any credit for playing it earlier though😂
Edit: well you did in this doc at least
@@joemama2737 They were also given credit by Innersloth when they got interviewed by Anthony Padilla :p
Well it wasn't in my plans to host an Among Us night in April 2022 but this documentary makes me want to play again.
what a lovely documentary! the team seems like a great and thoughtful bunch, thank you for taking the time to share your story!
Among Us is crazy. I’m convinced that so far this decade it’s just the most influential game and I hope the people at inner sloth are very proud of that!
It's a ripoff of multiple games that came before it. It has absolutely nothing new inside it.
@@Chris-ey8zf I know, I used to play mafia with my friends, but it's still a very important game.
Superb documentary as always.
As a game developer it's also quite inspiring.
I love your work.
Love the documentaries you guys make, dry well paced and interesting points of view.
Excellent video! I had no idea that the Henry Stickman developer was also part of the AmongUs development team. I would also be interested if you were to look at another sudden rise game *after literal years of slow-burner development* - Project Zomboid.
Noclip delivering the goods per usual!
Smashed it again lads, as always thank you for a peek behind the curtain!
NOCLIP IS LIKE NO OTHER
Really solid interview. Well done by all involved!
Thanks a lot! Your documentaries never cease to amaze!
Noclip hitting another home run episode. Loved every moment. Thank you!
The menu music is so good! It never fails to give me the chills. I really miss playing it with friends and voice, but they just don't play it 😥
It's very much the theme to John Carpenter's the Thing, as they mentioned. You should watch it if you haven't already.
This was great, I've been waiting for something like this for ages. Always wanted to know the story and get some insight into the development into this game. 100% loved it, thank you
Thanks for these docs. Amazing work.
Excellent work as always, keep it up!!!
Awesome job on the documentary. I’ve been a fan of innersloth since they were created (mostly because of Henry stickmin) and it was awesome to see them get the recognition they deserve.
Thank you!!!
@@Innersloth wow you guys actually replied to me! Y’all are amazing
Amazing quality documentary! The little 3d printed figurines and table was a very cute and nice touch
Noclip videos make me feel so warm and cozy inside.
What a great interview! Thanks for sharing.
Another absolute banger, mate. Love your stuff!
We needed this thank you! Can't wait for the next step into VR
Thank you Danny, and all the people who helped making this 🙏🏾
No matter the game, I'm always so excited for a new Noclip doc to come out. You do such a great job telling the stories of the people that make the things we love.
Never played the game, but enjoyed this documentary!
Finished this video! 100% fantastic
Love the details and work into it
And thanks to Innersloth too for this game
The game is so massive that everytime i hear "among us" or "suspicious" in a real sentence i think of the game lmao. Its the only game thats been able to do that
yeah like. you seem suspicious. did you milk the goat? without telling me? you sussy suscpicious??!
Let’s goo. I’m excited to watch this
Continuously knocking these documentaries out of the park
I honestly think my favorite part was the stuff around your house with the 3d printed figures. Especially the line-up with the FF7 minis. I always knew Tifa was a bit sus.
I liked that around minute 37:00 you guys used "Anitra's Dream", the music used in "The challenge" (The witness).
Very cool, thank you for this!
I always thought that among us had so many similarities to my favorite movie The Thing, but to think it actually was it's inspiration is awesome, way more appreciation for the movie, game and the team, good taste in movie guys
Very insightful. Thank you!
Although it's not that popular anymore, I still play it. God bless beans
Great doc. The team is so humble. Beyond happy for them 😍
great documentary, thx
This game and Pokemon Go were remarkable experiences that brought together my entire friend group in a way that nothing else has. 10-15 people most of which NEVER play video games played the hell out of Among Us in 2020.
Awesome video as always!
This is an amazing documentary
I love this game!
Danny the moment you said "poochied out" I was like "that sound like the Shift F1 guy... nooo... what are the odds" and then boom mindblown. Love it all, great content
I'm not into Social Deduction ganes, but i really enjoyed watching this documentary. Keep up the great work!

Among Us!
Cool Doc :D cannot believe there is only 12 on that team, what an amazing job :D
Wow, what a nice indie dev team. Thanks for showcasing their story :)
Great documentary. Can’t wait to try among us VR. Seems like a great group of people.
Another fantastic doc!
not the most relevant but i find it wild to go through this entire video and not hear any mention of the gmod gamemode 'murder' because its likely inspired heavily by the same stuff as among us, but its also genuinely just like among us EXCEPT it doesnt have tasks, it has items you collect to get a gun as any non-murderer, or you collect them to disguise as other players as a murderer. obviously theres more differences but when i play among us i cant help but think of the other game because ive always loved the other one, and it made me love among us even more.
its genuinely impressive watching this video and hearing the team talk, cause i had no idea the team was _that_ small having to deal with this unprecedented attention and overload on them, and i really just think that thats super amazing!
Another awesome documentary.
An excellent documentary but one that frankly left me a bit sad thinking about the course of development - what started as a team of friends, making games that they thought were fun just focused on making their thoughts a reality, became a full-fledged company dealing with bureaucracy and the "real world" - documentation, management, accessibility, moderation, translation, age verification, etc, and all as the game inevitably loses steam as players move on
Well, if it helps, I don't think anyone in the team regrets having taken that trajectory. They're still a small team of friends, and they're now stable enough that they can make whatever they want next, big or small. A little taste of the real world feels like an OK price to pay for that.
Nah they didn't lose Steam, it's still up on there
@@TaCoTuesTay lol
Truly appreciated the honesty and overall transparency from them 🙏
these guys are great, they're well easy to burn some spare cpu cycles on. I swear one dev just said like "every things just designed to be...Nice!..". ;]
Never played the game but it's very cool to hear about a modern game industry success story.
It really is just a game of putting your game out there and hoping it'll click with some people. Everyone's got good ideas so exposure is the biggest determiner in if you succeed or not.
I remember my friend showing me this in, like, early 2019 or something, and I was like "oh, seems like a cool game", I had absolutely no clue it would become this big haha
There are so many other small titles that I've played, and it would be absolutely crazy if any of them were to blow up in the same way
I got into Among us because of the Salt Raiders and loved watching their videos on the game which eventually got me to get the game!
Didn't think you'd go to this one, but yes very influential and impacted gaming. Well done mate, as always amazing work 👍🏻
edit: i changed the thumbs up emoji to the white skin variant to not be racist of course ;)
edit: Thanks for the death threads?!
i dont think even the devs could fully grasp just how many people were playing among us, its one thing to see the numbers, and quite another to go around the mall one day and find every single person playing among us on their laptop in every cafe or restaurant in the mall. i would see this trend everywhere, from malls, to parks, to cafes, to bookstores, and everywhere in between, and this all happened during lockdown season. everyone i know plays the game, even my mom plays it... its mind boggling.
I am a simple man, I see a new video from Noclip, I like it.
My dude made some choices in the b-roll on this one 🤣
Great content as usual.
Just started the vid and already loving it! Great work!
Awesome Episode as always! May I ask where you get that “the secret of monkey Island” poster from? It's a beauty! :)
Victoria tren really brightened up this doc for me, I dig her awareness and clear sight of what is so fun and silly about the game :) she also clearly sounds like a fan, that does so much
Let's go, thank you Noclip
Among Us VR Confirmed!! Crazy stuff :D
Fantastic work as always. Am I the only one looking at the FF7 characters in the background at the end thinking it might be some kind of hint?
Woah, didn't know Adriel worked on this
Amazing video as always everyone!
Great documentary
Awesome doc as always guys!!! Do you have plans on doing a documentary on Sucker Punch anytime in the future?
2:13 IT'S PUFFBALLSUNITED, THE CREATOR OF HENRY STICKMIN
Not my type of game, but I love that my Newgrounds pals made it big.
I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT DREW INSPIRATION FROM ‘THE THING’.!When I told my friends that it gave me John Carpenter’s The Thing vibes, they all looked at me like I was stupid. WELL WHO’S STUPID NOW, HUH?
This was awesome.
indie games documentaries on this channel are some of the best, great vid. Imagine if they make an omori documentary at some point since it took that team 7 years to release the game it could b interesting
This story of Among Us is humble and sweet. I would like to see more maps.
Nice one!
Thanks for the info;
Fun as hell. From some previous vids(yes I said vids; not posts) you are Amstrad based ; from core .Did you ever mess with the BBC Micro Master System.?Look particularly at the "Play it again Sam " series. ACORN seems to have an interesting story; with and without sound effects :)1987 has several timebombs for gaming before gaming...Focus on the pre-Autocad package "Logo"
I remember playing Among Us on my phone and on Steam and thinking "why isn't this game more popular..? This is original and imaginative and fun!" Then I forgot about it and went back to my other 1,200 games on Steam I owned at the time. I believe 4-6 months later some CZcamsr or Twitch streamer started playing Among Us (this is before watching this documentary to refresh my memory) and the game BLEW UP, and I went oh yeah that game I thought was cool that nobody played..
Then several years later my wife's 9 year old boys are still watching youtube videos by the same YT personalities who play whatever is popular yelling at each other and overacting everything, and that's when you know a game is too mainstream. It's like that shoeshine kid giving you investing advice line, except with popular stuff. When your wife's children are watching something on youtube every day, that's when its mainstream.
(also they watch the Henry Stickmen collection videos a lot too, also will not stop playing Gorilla Tag), basically any of the free games kids love. Because they cannot afford to buy anything.
At least Among Us came from one of the best horror movies ever made, The Thing.
These are just the best.
Hahaha you got all of Toast’s friends in the doc but didn’t get Toast. He’s gonna be thrilled 🤣
Among us is eternal, i love their effort
but fortnite?
Great piece.
Definitely going to have to check out there art socials to see if they have any crazy favorites. There's definitely been some incredible stuff.
Only other question I might have had would be if they had a favorite colaboration within the game. Personally I absolutely blame Among Us for introducing me to Hololive and Vtubers.
Wishing the best future for the team. They seem like they might actually deserve it.
Nice video!
