The last part where they are sitting on the stage was the set for their live online concert and they shot that scene right after their live performance ended and all the round lights behind the members are the 'ARMY Bombs' representing army.

When we say dorm we actually mean expensive penthouse lol. Also they live together because of their constant schedules. They probably find it easier to travel to their schedules together too. They all definitely have individual homes but they live together most of the time.

comparing with the room where the 7 slept, yes ... the house now is much bigger. Some continue to share a room but by choice. I don't know if they all have a separate house, I think Jimin doesn't ... but this is pure gossip hahaha
@@LoveTheBasics It's always struck me as funny me how, being one of the biggest music acts in the world, everyone knows where BTS lives, in a big 6 rooms unit at a luxury residential condominium called Hannam the Hill. If you're really curious about it, they've filmed a lot more content at their dorm: some of their Run BTS episodes, the 1st episode from their travel show Bon Voyage 4, the commentary from their latest movie "Break the Silence", some of their recent lives on the VLive app... Just ask Army and they'll get them for you :)

@@Baba_Jagas_Hut not really.. both of them have other apartments! Namjoon in fact has an apt in Hannam hill too, so does jin.. Honestly most of their real estate choices are like investments. They live together most of the time.. so that makes sense.

Since trainee day kpop idols live together in dorms maybe so it will easy for them to make music but as they start becoming popular they sometimes shift in the own apartments but BTS members bond is so strong that they are always together. Since BTS compose,write and produce their own music I think it will be easier for them to share idea if they live together
Yeah. I think that's the difference between korean boy group and western boy group. Korean boy group especially from Bighit believe that chemistry between members is so important. It's really important to be a real friend in their daily. Besides that bts is the first boy group that the company agree to let them composed their own music and lyrics.

@@kusaiki_ck6916 the companies always pay for the dorms. most idols don't get paid in the first couple of years, so they can't pay anything. it gets subtracted from their income until they make enough for themselves.
The only scene in their dorm is where they are in pajamas. Everything else is filmed at the different location.

The exterior scenes were filmed at a location that's been used in other mv's, including IU's Eight mv, apparently. No wonder it's popular as a location; it's absolutely idyllic.

Literally all of us who love JK and his works were the most delighted to read the credits under the MV. I remember how everyone were saying the video is so realistic and relatable then coming to a realisation that JK DIRECTED IT. It’s damn cool to see you speak about everything!
They have been living together since trainee in their old dorm and now they have moved and still (often) live together. Jin said they are together in 360 out of 365 days lol. They actually have their own apartment/ house

The official music video of Life Goes On was shot at their dorm (which btw is one of the most expensive apartment complexes in Seoul) BUT this particular video (another version of LGO) was shot at a rented house, located somewhere far from their place 😊. Only from minute 3.08, the scenes were shot at their real dorm.
the concert part was actually filmed after their online concert in the same place they held it

The scene of bts singing on stage was filmed right after they finished performing for their virtual concert, that's why they had more professional cameras
I’m not sure, but the cameras used for live broadcasts like the concert might be different for the kind used for mv’s. All their other mv’s pretty much use the same caliber as those used in here though
@@bembolbug JK said that they filmed the scene right after they ended their concert, it was planned beforehand so I think the crew probably brought along the gear they usually use for filming mv 🤔

They've always lived together, from 2012. Jin once said that the rest of the members are now like his smartphone/wallet, he feels nervous without them. They're a family :)
Remember that interview when they were asked if they would rather be without their friends or their phone for a day and Jin say friends because he doesn’t have any. The other guys were so fake upset in English Jin tried to explain that they’re not friends, they’re family😂

The outdoors scenes are also from the others versions of the MV, Life Goes on has three more MV's: On my Pillow, In the Forest and Like an Arrow. You should also watch these others, they're very beautiful too.
Also, idol groups always live together at the start of their careers. This is in the hopes that they can bond and get closer to each other. Living together helps them to get to know each other better. This in turn improves relationships subsequently improving team work and work conditions.

bts is a really interesting group because most kpop groups who achieve big success live together in their rookie years and then move into their own apartments, but they as the biggest and richest kpop group in the world choose to still live together
I mean they all have their own places that they own and stay at now. But they do use the dorm to stay together during comeback season and busy schedules. I think some of the members still choose to live in the dorm full-time though.

They actually filmed the concert part in the MV after their actual live concert and in the set they had performed in.
And I guess they live together partly out of convenience as the mostly only work in a team, and they said before they feel comfortable and comforted living together (with their adopted family). Makes sense considering they left their own families as such a young age.

when a kpop group lives together in a house, that place is then just referred to as their "dorm". In BTS's case, it's a huge house they bought and chose to live in together even though they all own their separate houses.
I am so proud of Jungkook, he did an amazing job on the mv. He is so talented and i hope, he gets the chance to be director on another BTS mv.
Its pretty common for them to live in dorms or same apartment complex provided by the company. Since you dont know how kpop industry works their promotion is different compared to western artist. They will require lots of time in practice rooms, recording studios, go to music shows which there are 7 for all days of the week. And if you are a newer group you will attend to all these shows to record and perform, as well as going to fan meets, and radio stations and variety shows etc. You will be booked for the whole month! So it is only practical if they live together near the agency building. BTS still lives together and stays in the most expensive neighborhood. Since they make music they will come to the company building often. They also have their own apartments they bought themselves. And just to let you know. None of the members are from Seoul most of them live very very far so they can not just go home and why they live in together.
Added note: basically their schedule is always booked especially of you are a rookie group, raising group0 or a popular because you gets magazine covers, commercial shoots, brand deals, and even acting gigs. They also have award season which is the last quarter of the year preparing special performance, annual Fan meeting(which is equivalent to a concert it self), and followed by touring. On top of that, usually kpop groups release 1 to 3 albums every year. All these before the pandemic. All these are normal. I doubt any western artist can last with kpop groups schedule. This is why its so annoying when they discredit any kpop groups. You dont know what true grind is if your faves aint in a kpop group.
Actually all if not most idol groups live in dorms from they are trainees that are provided by the company, this helps with scheduling when it comes to filming and performances especially because kpop idols have such a tightly packed schedule. Between music show performances, filming producing albums and fan content its kind of hard if you look at it when you have to get 7 guys (or more in some groups) together.
Even though the BTS members have separate apartments/places to live they do stay together sometimes.
The place where they were wearing White dress and were using Big cameras, that was the set of their 1st Online Concert which was held on Oct 10, 11 of 2020.. they shot it after the online concert over.
Some shots you've seen in this mv sketch (in the lake , in the garden .. individual shots ) were included in the b-sides MV (yes life goes have 3 other b-sides " in the forest " " on my pillow " and " like an arrow " )

I think everyone has explained about the idol dorm situation, so I thought I might expand upon the last scene. It was monochrome in the MV, but those lights are the groups official lightsticks (army bombs) lit up purple (because of V's I purple you/Borahae phrase) to represent each ARMY at the concert.
They were doing an online concert at the time and the pandemic had eased up at the time, so there was supposed to be a live audience.
They were going to use those concert shots to symbolize the end of the pandemic as they reminisced over those hard times, but the pandemic worsened, the live audience couldn't happen, so the scene ended up being them nostalgic for the times they could be with ARMY (there's even a scene in the car where V looks with longing and frustration as they drive by the Olympic Stadium where they had their last in-person concert).
I think that last scene in particular is very special.

The black and white part at the end of the mv where they are all wearing white was filmed after they performed on their virtual concert MOTS ON:E. That's the reason why they have more professional big cameras
They started their career living together. That’s so it’s easier to manage and get them together for different schedules. Idols often have hectic schedules juggling practices, recordings, and different show appearances that they barely have time to rest and get a good night’s sleep. Imagine getting them on time to different schedules when they are not living together. What a nightmare that would be. It’s basically driven by economics and convenience. They also are from different parts of Korea, other than Seoul. So they didn’t have places to stay when they started. However, they each have their own real estates now. Still, the luxury dorm is maintained.

The outdoor scenes are from a sort of popular filming location for most of Kpop MV hence the lovely scenery and amazing location; only the indoor scenes are from their dorm (apartment) including Namjoon balcony and bicycle shot. In the stage concert scene, the audience seats are filled with ARMY BOMBs which is the BTS official light sticks. During their online concert during the pandemic, they really filled the arena with ARMY BOMBs because ARMY can't join the concert offline. Thank you Alex for this reaction :) To answer your question, they have dorm since pre-debut because it is easier to work and practice. Nowadays, most idols will not live in together after several years because of privacy matters and etc, but these amazing 7 men did say that they still want to live together for the time being because they are still actively working together. It's easier to organize and whatnot I think....
The second day was film in them real apartment, where they live together. The firts day was in a famous location in korea and the third day was film in the stadium that they do a virtual concert in october 2020

About the "proffesional camera" at the MV final, actually were filmed after their first concert on line. They sang, danced and were a little upset for the empty seats. That`s the rason each seat has an Army Bomb plus black and white concept it gives a melancholic vibe... everyone used to see huge stadiums iluminated with army boms, changins colors along the song, moving or shaking with full emotion. Life goes on is a beautiful song where BTS and Army miss each other and the MV reflects it. (Englis not my native tongue, sorry)

K-pop is a proven successful method of auditioning, training, and debuting artists. Living together in a dorm is part of it.
Groups will often move apart after success, but not always. BTS still lives together. As does Seventeen. They also purchase properties as investments or for parents but don’t necessarily live there. This is what often confuses people.
The Christmas songs this year were also shot in this dorm living room.
This didn’t start with K-pop. The boy bands of the 1990s such as Back Street Boys and *NSYNC started their careers living together. Part of the process.

bts has been living together since they were training together!! its to save more time when they have a schedule and to build a bond. also bc they all came from different parts of the country which is very far from the capital city where they have to train and work

BTS members own their own ( hella expensive) apartments/houses, but dorm life is a must for kpop rookie groups, so they even now , use the dorm, since they make their own music, together. don't assume full grown men earning millions would not have their own houses hahaha. it's their choice where they feel convenient to live amongst heavy schedules. also, BTS love each other a lot, so i understand it would feel lonely to live alone lol
The scene on stage army was supposed to be there but the concert became full video. So they filmed it after the concert.
Actually this is not the first mv that jungkook be a camera director. But for the officially director, yes! This is his debut as a director. Jungkook already be a camera director in Spine Breaker mv once.
Spine Breaker dont have a mv. In Run BTS, they received a mission to do their own mv based on their idea from any song that didnt have mv yet. So they choose Spine Breaker. At that time, they just have a discussion and record the mv on the spot at rhe hotel. Jungkook just use a normal camera but the mv is not bad. Its fun to watch!

The exterior shots were at a location out of the city they went to because they wanted the memories shots to look like when they could go on trips together. Then the inside shots were in their dorm....well they call it a dorm but it is a luxury apartment in the city. All groups start in dorms during training but many groups then choose to move into their own apartments later BTS chose to continue to live together as at least at one time they said it was easier to stay together. Some of them also own their own apartments but they still stay in the dorm together. The last scene they shot as they were doing an online concert. There is a video of BTS having a planning/brainstorming meeting where they were trying to decide what to do for the music video and how they decided were to shoot and that JK would be the director. They filmed a lot of the behind the scenes for the BE album so we would have things to watch while in lockdown. They went and looked at cameras for each of them to use to take their own concept photos and recording music and producing etc. These videos are usually just titled with a date...and even some of the date is stared out so you don't know exactly when it was shot.For example the planning meeting was shot in Aug 2020 but they didn't tell us the exact day so it is titled 2008** BTS (+ENG) but was released on Sept 2 2020 you can find it here. czcams.com/video/zwBMb2KAghQ/video.html

And living together is more custom and comfort, they have lived together for more than 10 years. Although by contract they only had to live together for 5 years (something very common in kpop since this way the training and practices are facilitated, in addition to helping the group to get to know each other more), then each one could choose whether to continue or no, and they decided to continue because they are already family.
In the same way, almost everyone has their properties and that, but the fact of being making music together, having to go to practice, go to record and many other things, it is comfortable to have a common place where everyone lives and also the company as well. it can guarantee the safety and privacy of children much better.

There can be literally tons of trainees for any one agency so they are dormed together with a few to a room, remember the culture is very different to western style, some even sleep together for companionship as they are very young. So having someone with you is like an older or younger brother to keep you company. When they debut thou, the group also gets dormed together, for investment purposes for some agencies as they are short of money and saves on cost. Also its bonding, you live together, eat together, sleep in the same room together. So it strengthens the bonds, encourages fighting and forces them to find ways to resolve their issues to build healthier relationships. It also helps when procuding music as well, they are already together when the manager goes to collect them......

You don't need to react to it on camera, but Life Goes On also has a "on my pillow", "like an arrow" and "in the forest" version. They are not proper music videos but kinda like Dynamite B-side (like bloopers or clips they didn't use)
