Do u have to wait for the clear coat to dry completely before use to top coat?
@@grndmaw From her past teaching, (just in case she doesn’t have a chance to get back to you) I would. I’d certainly error on the side of dry completely.
Wow!, what a pretty piece. I did a similar thing to a tiny chest of draws and added strings of what ended up looking like pearls with paper clay. Now I've got friends wanting me to do more like this.

I cannot wait to try your techniques. On anything! And everything. I adore the colors for the moldings and the repeat of those in the tissue paper. The green velvet inside is so saturated. If I was to do those jewel colors, I would want to see more of them, a little less gold perhaps. But I love gold, too, and I'm always so impressed by your completed projects. Inspiring, Kaćha! I just realized that I have this same jewelry box that I got for free by a dumpster. It's in storage but not for long, lol. I'm definitely getting it out soon to bling it up. I hope you’re feeling better. You know I been meditating and trying to be positive for years...and I still struggle... because it’s freaking normal! When you take the position to be positive all the time it feels so hard. awful actually. Kyle Cease though, who teaches about exactly this subject says don’t do that, instead in those down times I now do not beat myself up for feeling like a human. I breathe and allow me to feel it..it’s reasonable...it helps me get over it faster instead of resisting. Another youtuber pointed out it’s also helpful to meditate ASAP and feel in my body physically where these negative feelings are affecting me and focus on releasing the pain and sending positive energy to heal me. I hope this helps. I work simply setting appointments, easy job but boring and my mind wanders to problems while I’m calling clients...I absolutely do not engage well with them when I’m sitting there getting depressed about other bs...so I practice focusing techniques and keep myself from getting grumpy. It’s been a great learning experience. Balance is something we have to practice all the time... because the world is full of choices and it would be hard to need everyone be like me to get along. It’s better to help me be ok with them all being able to be themselves. Peace be with you.
Now I want biscuits and gravy! Bad Kacha! LoL My first piece of painted furniture was a jewelry box that looked like a piece of furniture, but it was only 12 inches high. I love those moldings! Great idea whoever invented them. I am awful with clay.

Kacha help!?!? I am obsessed with Beth and Randal, in the show this is us, nightstands. They are this light mute blue green with gold around the edges, but the gold is kinda messy or aged.
I would love to see you reproduce these. I’m not sure if they’re using chalk paint or milk paint?

What a great technique teaching video! I love that griddle trick! And the gold over color is beautiful.
I use Prima molds with resin or clay but those woodubend designs are show shoppers!

4 screw holes chicken toothpick snap off one or two however many it takes to fill it. No need for Bondo which is horrendous I blacked out at a job once. I was doing eBay for a while and there are endless numbers of jewelry boxes there. I don't do eBay anymore...not the kind of selling I like to do, but I kept the jewelry boxes so when I get this project all set up, I'll be chalk painting plus with them.
