The best mb light bulb tutorial on CZcams!!!
Well, I'm humbled sir Larry. Thanks for watching and commenting and I hope you'll consider subscribing. Got more Mercedes stuff coming.
Just changed my passenger side low beam. Thank you for this easy to follow vid!
Great news Jeffrey. Glad you got it done and that the video helped. I got many more on the Mercedes. Please consider subscribing. Dean
Amazing video
Thanks for watching and the kind comment.
This is the best video. I have a 2009 ML350 passenger low beam out. Everything looks the same but I can’t get it to turn to get it out.:( might have to try pliers! Anyway you video was so great!
Thanks for watching Taylor and for the kind words. Dean
Curious if you were able to remove the socket. I'm having the same problem with my 2012 e350 passenger bulb. I've seen multiple videos where its a simple slight turn to the left and it comes out but I can't get mine out. Was there a trick for yours?
Really clear video and good instructions. Thank you.
Thank you for viewing and commenting. Please consider subscribing for more Mercedes videos coming up. Have a good one. Dean
Thanks for taking the time to explain how the bulb fits into the socket and the socket fits in to the holder. For some reason I seem to be stuck with that
Your instructions are more thorough than most CZcams videos
I am of the feeling that if the right side is out you might as well go in at your convenience and change everything in the left side. If that happens on the road you either have to drive with one light or find a garage and a few hundred dollars
Might as well change both sides and I realized with my 2011 only the low beam side is accessible through the fender with the fender well removed. The
High beam is accessible from the top
Some thing else I found of a curiosity both high beam bulbs and low beam bulbs are the same model. The reflectors must make the difference but I've never heard of that before but then it makes it easier
Thanks for watching William. I hope you will subscribe and check out my video on the low beam replacement on the drivers side. Yes it is quite the ordeal. I concur with your assessment of replacing bulbs on both sides. Dean
Many thanks
Very helpful thanks.
Thanks James. Not one of my better 4k videos due to the the tight spaces and lighting but thank you for commenting. Check out my other Mercedes videos at Pilot View Productions if you need further assistance. Maybe one of the others will help you too.
Excellent step-by-step. Question No Bulb Grease needed?
Dielectric grease is not required but, yes, recommended. Thanks. Dean
Thank you
Thanks for viewing
good job keep it on!! btw mine is flickering, what can it be? Thank you!!
Best guess would be a corroded connector. Take the bulb out and take a pointed sanding tool like a Dremel bit and lightly sand the receptacle. Worse case would be a broken wire.
@@PilotViewProductions Thank you!
Do you recommend changing both low beam lamps at the same time? My driver’s side low beam is out (yes, I know it’s a bit more of a challenge.) Should I change the passenger side low beam too? Follow up, any recommendations regarding lamp model that is an improvement to the factory 2011 E550 low beam?
I don’t usually swap out the other side but to each his own. If it makes you feel better, go for it. Just make sure that if you don’t swap em both, that you get matching voltages so one side is not brighter. I don’t have recommendations as to what is ‘better’ than OEM. Personally I’m okay with Sylvania replacements.
I have a 2007 S550. Would I replace that bulb the same way.
I haven't seen the engine compartment of the 07 S550 so I'll have to defer to my viewers to answer.
So I took off the halogen and tried to install LED and then it gave me that error. And I put the halogen back on and now it won't turn on. I flipped it both ways 😭😭😭
why didnt u use h7 in blue or white 5000k colour , i mean they are plug and play comes in high quality like philips diomend vision or osram. Would have looked classy.
Probably will next time. Was just trying to match the other one.
Hi Dean have you done a D1S HID bulb in a Mercedes E350 Passenger side or know of someone who has done a video? Same process as a H7 bulb on removal?
I don't Bruce. Anyone out there know of someone?
is this the same as an 2008 C300 model
I'm no expert on the C300, but I'd say so.
I have an e350 2010 and I can’t find the low beam entry
I will have another video soon but you may have to remove the inner fender well to access it
@@PilotViewProductions i think so to :(
I have a 2012 and you can't even get your hand in there. Passenger side.
I was hoping it was the driver side
Maybe later
My hands are too big to do this.
Totally understand Robert. It's a tight squeeze. Might be easier to remove the wheel and plastic wheel well cover and go at it from inside the wheel well opening.
@@PilotViewProductions Had my girlfriend do it.
