I am so glad you used this material for the real deal the Yuma dress looks gorgeous xx
Thank you, as always, for the high energy, positive vibes. Very inspirational x
Ahhh thank you x
Your having fun sewing that’s the best to see 🇦🇺💗
Hi, Bec! The sun is shining here, and the birds are chirping, and I absolutely love it! Your dress you are wearing is beautiful, and I'm glad you're having a great day also!❤❤❤
Ahhh thank you.
The world feels like an amazing place when the sun shines x
Those shorts fit you impeccably! Great makes!
Thank you x
Lovely makes. Those shorts are great. Make a pair in black fabric. You will surprised how handy they will be.
I do have some black to use for some as well x
Go you house cleaned and now on a role. Love your makes well done you🙌💜❤️💙
❤️
Love your spring energy :) And your Zadie looks great! Wow you really nailed it this week with your holiday makes!
Thanks lovely. X
Love the shorts pattern actully love all you choices x
Thank you x
Great vlog as always the Ogden cami would be great with some orange shorts that would jazz it up. Great makes, you will look stunning on your holiday ❤❤❤
❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful makes 💖
Thank you x
ooh i like the yuka, looks great on you.
Thank you x
You've been very productive this week - I love the shorts - quite a classy look I think. Plus you always look great in a Zadie.😎❤ I'm struggling through my Donny blouse - hopefully will finish it this weekend but I spend a lot of time looking at it and sighing. I thought it would be easy.... on the plus side the next 2 projects only have 3 pieces to each pattern and my "Pieces of pattern" = difficulty formula suggests these might be fun and not a slog.🥰
I struggled with the Donny too, I am sure once you finish it you will love it x
You’ve been productive! All lovely makes. Thanks for sharing your projects. I’m inspired to make items for a upcoming trip
Thank you. I think a trip definitely gives us motivation to make x
Love all your makes as usual. You are 1 busy, busy bee!!
Thank you x
I am on a weight loss journey, too. Having put on weight, that had an impact on what I felt I wanted to sew. Now I'm losing weight, it's impacting on it, too. However, I will get there. I love your jumpsuit, t-shirt, and your shorts. Shame about the printed shorts, but that is such an easy mistake to make. You are going to look fabulous on your holiday!
Ahhh thank you.
Yes the weight loss journey can also impact your sewing because you almost don’t want to use the precious fabrics xx
Wow, you’ve been super busy this week. Well done on getting some holiday makes completed, they look fab. There’s nothing like an upcoming holiday to get you power sewing 😅
So true x
I've made that "forget to flip the pattern piece" mistake! MEH! It's the worst. Oh well. Live and learn. I love all your completed objects. They look fabulous!
I’m glad I’m not the only one 😂
Think they all look fab love the Naya and shorts combo and the Ogden cami looks good as well. Fibre mood dress looks gorgeous can’t wait to see the finished Southport see you tomorrow 🥰💕🥰💕
Thanks Heather x
Love your jumpsuit that you are wearing Becs. You have made some lovely garments. Xx
💜
Love you summer vibe !
I keep seeing the Pomona pants around and they look so comfy! Shame about the shorts. Could you make them anyway and wear them as pyjama bottoms? Or dye them blue so they’re the same colour both sides? I know the feeling when things go wrong like that! I’m sure you’ll find a way to salvage the fabric somehow 😊
I have a few ideas to salvage the fabric… I will keep you updated.
I love the pattern and highly recommend x
Holiday sewing is the best, isn’t it? I want to make some Italy themed outfits for my holiday. Maybe treat myself to some Lady McElroy Italian fabric and some lemon patterned fabric.
Oooh that sounds so nice, and yes holiday sewing is definitely the best, I think just the sun coming out in the Uk has made a huge difference to my sewjo x
Nowt wrong with the word “wang” 😂😂. Lovely makes. Can’t wait to see your Southport finished!
❤️
Hi, just a thought on those shorts that you cut out incorrectly. If you cut up the pieces where your side seam would normally sit and insert a band of fabric in white, or matching blue, the same… or since it’s you… a contrasting fabric… would you be able to recut your pieces out of what you have constructed? Lay the pattern piece the correct way round on your cut out and see if can work it.
I was wondering what dress size you wear in ready made … I’m thinking that we are probably about similar size and shape, it’s great seeing what you make because I can imagine what I might look like in similar makes. Xx
Your fibremood dress is gorgeous and really suits you. My stash is lacking decent jersey fabrics but we're in Telford next weekend and there's an abakhan lol. Hopefully join you on a sewcial one day, still waiting for Sally to say there's a space 😊
Yeah she is fully booked with her regulars most of the time lol.
Have fun x
@@whatbecsews no worries, maybe one day 😁
The naya top and shorts look absolutely gorgeous. Did you ever get chance to make the farrah jumpsuit, I’ve made three of the playsuit version for my upcoming holiday and honestly it’s gorgeous, I just had to do a sway back adjustment which is a standard with most patterns . X
I haven’t, I have pieced all the pattern pieces together but I just need to cut it out and make it up x
I have cut out two of the same pattern piece instead of the mirror image several times😦 Luckily I have always had enough fabric. So frustrating!!
Lol it’s just so easily done isn’t it, but it is always good to share the mistakes x
xXX👍👍👍
Can I ask you what is a sway back adjustment? I keep seeing it mentioned but I'm not sure if I need one? Ignoramus here 😅
A sway back is an adjustment to where your back curves, taking a chunk from the centre to fade out to nothing at the sides. This is a great blog will help you a bit more …. patternscissorscloth.com/2010/12/05/sway-back-alterations-my-analysis/
@@whatbecsews Thank you for that explanation - I'll definitely check out the link ❤️
