  • Today we are heading to Dubare elephant camp located in Kodagu district in Karnataka. It is an elephant training camp.
    You have to cross the river to reach the campsite. In summer you can cross the stream by foot, if there is heavy water flow there are boats.
    Timing:
    9:00 - 11:00 AM
    4:30 - 5:30 PM
    Costs:
    Entry Fee - 50 Rs per person
    Boat Fee - 30 Rs per person
    Camera - 300 Rs
    There are different Elephant activities such as giving them a bath, feeding them, rides into the jungle and interaction area. One can spend at least 2 to 3 hours and get to see more than 20 + elephants in this jungle.
    Elephants participating in the Mysore Dasara procession are trained and sent from here. There are certain restrictions post Covid do checkout our video to know more.

      Hi when we visited they were not allowing elephant ride for the safety of both animal and people due to covid..
      you can only observe them from close quarters.. while the trainers perform activities like bathing, feeding etc

      You have to go there to get the tickets in the morning. if you want to just visit the camp.. Reach early, weekends tend to get very crowded..

      There are no extra charges.. only entry fee.. since covid they are not allowing us too close to the elephants…

      Ensure to check whether it’s open or not before going.. If there is heavy water flow for safety reasons they will close. So do enquire before going..
