Kharimi Nougat in terms of song composition I remember first listening to “End of the Beginning” off of Sabbath’s 13, and it honestly feels like Iommi based that song off of “Supercoven”
Combined with that image, this song makes me feel as if I am stepping on the verge of an unearthly abyss.

Same. I’m the generation of System of a Down and Slipknot. And more or less stopped listening to any metal in over 10 years. Until I discovered EW in 2020… better late than never.
@@hedekbass For real. You've discovered true metal. Congratulations. Way heavier and more meaningful than Slip Knot could ever hope to be. Double kicks and screaming alone don't make metal heavy. Slip Knot are mid. They are basic pretty basic. Plus, Corey Taylor is a huge piece of shit and treated so many bandmates and fans like trash. Fuck them all around honestly. Check out the bands Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, Acid Mammoth, and DopeThrone (named after EW's album, but they are phenomenal in their own right). Songs to check out. Uncle Acid: Deaths Door, NightCreeper, and Desert Ceremony. Acid Mammoth: Caravan, tree of woe, Them. And for DopeThrone: Chameleon Witch, Riff Dealer, Reverb Deep.

What amazes me the most is that between 00.16-00.19 you already hear for the first time the riff that is basically the first half of the song and what's fascinating is that it is very low volume but still sounds so fucking heavy because of the kind of the sound, its "color"........Proves that heavy is much more associated to what you're playing instead of how loud.....if it's good then loud it becomes perfection

Every time I hear this song I think of an electric wizard themed restaurant. The staff are all zombies who obviously barely do their jobs. Sometimes your drink turns up with a finger in it. The food is addictively good, so good you wonder what is in it. An evil nun is there to make you pray to the dark lord before you eat. The line chef has to shout and throw things at the zombie wait staff to get them to pick up food. Whenever soup is ordered there is a less than enthusiastic din of shouts and groans saying "soup for Kevin". The restaurant has a rewards program obviously, it's the death cult, join today! And of course the whole place would be a big 'ol hot box

+daniel ainsworth don't listen to these guys (fully) i listened to the first Electric Wizard album once, actually recently on LSD and it was fucking amazing, especially while taking a massive bong toke at the end of Black Butterfly when the effects start building up. but there is a point to those previous comments. definitely be careful how dark you go on acid! i would recommend keeping a 'safe' album in mind, like something that makes you comfortable and positive or whatever. for me it's MGMT's Congratulations :P it's saved my ass a few times
