- Now that I have left The LEGO Group, I thought It would be fun to share some stories from my time there and the sets I worked on!

This video is in no way affiliated with The LEGO Group and is published as an adult fan of LEGO (AFOL).
The mechanisms behind this set are truly amazing. One day I’ll have to get this set just to see it in action.
You guys nailed it. The color really sells it imo.
Haha, I never picked up on that sneaky Bionicle reference in the designer video!
The typewriter is one of the more challenging sets to build, but so worth it! I'm still in awe of how you managed to get in all those functions and still have it look so good!
Well today I learned that a Lego typewriter exists and now I desperately need one. Thanks so much for this video talking about your design work here, it was great to see your passion for the art that you created.
And good job running the meeting like that, must’ve been absolutely nerve-wracking.
I love this set. It was the second LEGO set I bought as an adult (the Tree House was the first - love it!) and I love the combination of technic functions and "weird" ways the bricks go together. Easily still one of my favorite sets.
Thank you! Im blushing 😌
Great video for a great set. Thanks for making this- insight into how people work and solve problems is my favorite part of set designer interviews! Would love to hear more about constraints designers face and how you balance different objectives (eg budget, color changes, new piece models)
Dang, that Kojima post was a real win
The typewriter is what got me back into Lego! I love your breakdowns of the design process. Thanks and good luck with the videos. BTW, I bought a second copy of the typewriter because I want to build it again, but there is no way I will ever take apart the model! (Too many technic pieces for that.)
My goodness thats a best of a second model
*beast but now its been hearted already lol
Very interesting video! Awesome project!!!! I love Wes' work! Spoke to him at Skaerbaek fan weekend last year. I love your choice for the colour! It gave us more parts in sand green 😊
I have a question, how different is designing a LEGO set compared to making a MOC? What kinds of restrictions are put in place?
This set is awesome!
The tik tuk is also a great set
2:37 I remember seeing a corona company typewriter during covid
3:00 what about the numbers?
5:05 that actually looks pretty cool
6:30 interesting, cool to know
7:43 cool!
Please do a video about Andrea's theatre school next, its amazing!
Awesome behind the scenes
Err, DOB?
I looked up DOB and it gave me "New York City Department of Buildings" but I think its the other one, Date Of Birth lol
@@stefansauvageonwhat-a-twis1369 or do our best? 🤷🏻♂️
Yes its New York Department of buildings. I'll elaborate in Q&A #2 ;P
The fact that you essentially included a full clock mechanism is incredible. Was that an intentional solution to storing and incrementally releasing energy? Were there other ways you tried to achieve that?
Many.... ._.
Great video! As a Bionicle fan yourself, how did it feel to see people online hate on the typewrinter being picked while the Bionicle diorama was not? :D
Ill add this to a q&a vid ;)
