Dude this is actually a very fair roast. No personal attacks on people like me that enjoy the illusion they bring, but solid points that I actually agree with. The controls are my biggest gripe and I "never go full retail" on them. All very legit criticisms and absolutely fair game.

I never bought into their model. I always though "if i'm going to get a cabinet that takes up space, it's going to be quality" I can only have a couple in this apartment. I went with Rec Room Masters.

The "quality" the cabs are now is what they should have been in the beginning and at the 300,400 price point.

I have a bunch of arcade 1up cabinets that make a cool arcade room… however I am done buying a new cabinets and feel the rerelease the same things , I have modded and will continue to mod them with better joysticks and buttons but man you are right about the state of the company it’s sad because they did have a great idea for a killer market
Yeah they had a good vision in the beginning but they did not evolve in quality.
For a married guy with 3 kids these are perfect. No time for building my own cabs. I love A1U and hope they keep on keeping on.

Arcade 1up sucks unless you mod them get them for cheap and change the buttons and joystick out. I own a few of these and I'm saying this truthfully. Shelion all you do is mod all of yours so you know the controls aren't good. Just be honest with your audience.

Some of the A1Up cabinets are better than others and have more appeal but yeah I have bought some cabinets with problems right out of the box. The quality is not consistant enough. That's why you have to get these things dirt cheap and never pay full price!!!!! Always expect problems before you put it together and you won't be disappointed.😂Thanks for the video!👍👍

I bought one of those MK2 classic cabinets from Arcade 1up a few years back. The one with the riser. Still haven't put it together. Almost $500 from Gamestop since it was a gamestop exclusive at the time I think

To be honest I bought 3 cans
all under 300 before they got expensive. Pacman.Asteroifs/Centipede and modded one cab into a 19 in 1. I only bought what I played in the arcades back in the 80's.You can probably guess I'm in my 50's. I know they aren't full size but for me I get my fix in once in a while and I enjoy the look of them, they really do take me back in time. The game table is a nice idea but the prices are to high. It should be 199. 1up needs to get in the business of selling online gaming like other arcade companies. Remember Shakey's Pizza? The best pizza 🍕 ever! They didn't deliver and now only have a few stores left in CA. 1up has to get with the times and offer more than what it's competitors offer if they want to be relevant.

I only Bought the Unico Neo Geo Cab. Was looking forward to actually starting to create a room with cabs from Arcade 1up. But that was right about (before) the time they started jacking up the price without getting a better product. Never got any.

I gave you sh*t for your KI 1up but that’s because I always considered you above them and not worth giving them your time. My suggestion to anyone is to just spend the money with a custom arcade company like myself or any other that’s reputable.

Yeah sucks the way the company is behaving now. I've started buying arcades in the past 1.5 years. You're not a hater. They did get greedy with their pricing. I actually want the ALP 4K and think it's great quality (for virtual) but no way am I paying $1500 for it. It's gotta be under $999 for me to jump in

So honestly can’t disagree with alot of what you say, i found out about A1up in late 22 i have 7, 2 are modded i also have fullsize eightball pinball and GT 2004 complete fullsize never paid over 300 for A1up and I won't, i enjoy all my small cabs and full cab IMO its worth 300 and no there is no comparing to fullsize but to each is his own, I enjoy your content bro!

I agree there junk out the box, and not worth what they’re asking now. I bought mk2, nba jam, and original tmnt way back. Sold two, and kept the tmnt. I’m sending that deck off to get modded with tons of games. I also have a 1up pinball that I modded to dock my switch on, and play tables off that. One arcade, and one pinball modded is all I need. I wouldn’t own more than that.
Yeah the prices back then suited them but prices today aren’t worth it.
Arcade 1up is only okay if you can get a deluxe cab second hand for super cheap. I own a few 1ups and never use them but I didn't pay more then 125 second hand. The controls don't read half the combos on fighting games and noticed it quickly on the mk machine. I couldn't get in half the fatalities because the controller wouldn't read the combos. At games cheap video pinball machines that are so overpriced. 😂😂😂

They’ve really gone downhill since John d left and Cyrus took over. Now they have a bunch of gen z’s trying to sell nostalgia to gen x. Bullshit collab cabs and shit nobody wants like the casinocade. No new licenses coming. Sad really. They did really improve the product from the first gen to be fair, but took so many missteps along the way. The community stuck with them despite all that but Cyrus is the death rattle of arcade 1up
I agree if the Arcade1up board left John D alone I think it would have got better. They said no to him a lot.
Not everybody live in lost cost of living area like Texas. It cost it $1000 per sq ft where I live.
You made your own choice. If you want to live some where that cost you a $1000 dollars to stand in one square that was your choice.
