I would def recommend samples packs. If you get cheapo bundles, you’re stuck with 20 of the same thing, and you might not like them. I think the key to starting out is to try a little of everything, which is also why I think going to a brick and mortar cigar shop and asking for suggestions is a great option.

    Recently started smoking cigars
I’ve tried some monte Cristo and Romeo Julieta
Purchased some bravo Connecticut and was really impressed on the low end price wise but all around flavour was really enjoyable

Boy I wish I had this kind of advice at my fingertips 25+ years ago when I first started out. While I've been smoking periodically for that time, I still find these kinds of videos-for-beginners extremely valuable. In the din of cigar hype from retailers (I could wallpaper a house with the magazine catalogues I get), it's refreshing to hear simple tips that you won't get from retailers.
I indeed wished when I started out to just go for sample packs. That is the way to go when you're starting out.

      @@SippersSocialClub Cheapies mostly:
Tabamex Lonsdale Naturals (I'm a growing fan of Mexican cigars)
      Cuban Delights Robusto Sumatra
Cosechero Churchill Maduros (I think, they were a gift)
      829 Churchill Maduro (another gift)
      Factory Smokes Toros (another gift)
La Aroma de Cuba (the only naturals I have)
Mr. B Magnum Candelas (pretty green and not bad)
      Various others
I think if I pursue a non-cheapie, I may shoot for Te Amo. Had a few years ago, were very good. May go for Oliva too. Would pursue Avo but they're always priced just inches out of my reach.

@@SippersSocialClub Cheapies for the most part. Tabamex (I'm into Mexican cigars now), Cuban Delights (pretty decent cheapies), La Aroma De Cuba, Mr. B Candelas, and various others. Got some cigarillos, those are always handy at times, the flavor is very menthol compared to others but they're not flavored.

Great recommendations here Jer. Great stuff for beginners but also for a vets too. Reposado 96's are my go to bundle stick, 3 wrappers and multiple sizes, always burn great. You can never go wrong with a Perdomo.

Im lucky enough that there is a cigar shop 1/2 mile from my home that also has a nice lounge. That is where i smoke my cigars so I dont need a setup. The best part is that I have met amazing people there

Excellent recommendations, Jeremy. My golf course cigars are the Churchill size of the Factory Smokes Sun Grown and the Maduro flor de Oliva. Good sticks for inexpensive prices when you purchase from abroad 🤭

My fave bundle cigar is El Titan de Bronze short filler Toro bundles. They’re fantastic and rolled great. They smoke quick but are such a tasty and fantastic product. I’m not crazy about sample packs but any packs with Perdomo or JC Newman are the best brands to explore and BEST value per dollar. Side note… buy Ferio Tego too, insane blends and diverse lineup with many vitolas for anything you wanna try.

One thing i would recommend is buy the purest butane you can buy. I see alot of people complaining that their lighters stopped working suddenly, alot of the times its the butane thats messing up the lighter

I need this video. First cigar I smoked was a month ago at a whisky tasting. Cohiba Siglo 6. It was so creamy. I’ve been researching ever since, but made no purchases yet.
Would you be able to speak to the Correnti brand in a future video?

JR Cigars has “JR Alternatives” that are designed to mimic a major brand. They have several to choose from. Good, but not great. Certainly a good value. The Coors Light of cigars, if you will.

Do you just throw the cigars into the Tupperware so they can freeroam in there with the humidity control pack or do you use one of the cheapo Amazon boxes for storage and put that into the Tupperware

    • @SippersSocialClub
      @SippersSocialClub  Před 2 měsíci

As long as everything is in the Tupperware with a humidity pack you should be fine. Loose cigars are ok, or if you buy a box, keep the whole box in the Tupperware

whats the best place to buy cigars in ontario, canada at a reasonable price? i went to local Havana Castle, they didn't have their sample pack so could not get it. Nice store but very expensive lol. Where can u get My Father or Perdomo sampler pack u mentioned above? Also some of the other stuff u mentioned above like the lighter, storage and other stuffs where can u get them?

I have to be careful not to break CZcams terms of service (they don't like you saying or linking to any place that sells tobacco) I would recommend c i g a r c h i e f (Dotcom) probably the best prices, but everywhere in Ontario is very expensive compared to prices you pay in the US

    • @SippersSocialClub

Lol, I remember my dad doing that. In theory it would work short term, but the apple will rot and you don't want that around cigars.
