I studied motor controls in Mechatronics, and am currently in digital electronics, preparing for PLCs this fall. I’m learning binary coded decimal and inverting logic gates at the moment. But I’m far from this level of on the job installation.
Stick at it. Plc code is generally far easier than computer code. In the easiest levels we have ladder logic ( the most popular with the engineers that have to fault find) next level up from that is the logic blocks ( and or not gates etc) not as easy to follow then statement list which is more like computer code. That was 10 years ago may have changed some but I think the basics will still be the same.
Can someone tell me how I can learn how to read schematics and diagrams? I want to get into electrical as a hobby. Mostly soldering on circuit boards and what not but I’d also like to learn to do a few things around the house. Are the symbols the same?
Schematics tend to be for logic or sequence control not household wiring. Sure there must be some online courses. It’s something you normally learn from your Mr as an apprentice
