- This is actually my first video. I managed to record the sound of this bamboo wind chimes in my garden, even if there's a bit of wind noise sometimes. Anyway, hope you'll enjoy this first try.

..reminds me when I was a kid at my godmother's, she had a big backyard with a bunch of mini green apple trees. Some days when we visited, there were no kids and i'd get bored real easy. So I'd go to the backyard and sit in the hammock (it was one of those stringy ones that had all the primary colors on it). Id spend hours dreaming about cartoons as I listened to the windchimes play me their music :)

I love the simple authenticity of this....its all as it should be...the sound of the wind as it gently buffers the chimes...the birds...the leaves dancing in the sunlight...

Not only do you have _amazing_ sound, the chime isn't so loud that it is jarring, the wind isn't blowing directly into the mic, the birds and nearby water.. You also have multiple camera angles, beautiful lighting and nicely timed transitions! Thank you so much.

Sounds like these give me the chills, in a good way. They give me so much nostalgia it's crazy. This sounds just like my grandma's wooden wind chimes she had right on the front of the door to her house, out in the country. I remember I used to go there all the time and play in cornfields, get all dirty in the mud, catch bugs, toads, adventure in her giant backyard, climb trees and play with her pets. Those times where the best. I miss those times. We'd often have family reunions there, too. Everytime I went there I heard the sweet sound of those bamboo wind chimes. I often sat on the porch listening to these sounds while watching my friends and familly play and enjoy life. I usually would have some sort of bug or toad with me that I would be holding and studying closely, too. I remember how much I enjoy going out into the country. It has so much wildlife it's amazing. Thank you for posting this!
About 6 years ago I was on holiday in Bali and these bamboo wind chimes were everywhere and I fell in love with them. Bali is worth to visit. Thank you for this video. ❤️

Bamboo chimes sound nicer than the original ones made of metal
Bamboo wind chimes significantly pre-date metal ones--that is, these are closer to the "original". It's a material which a farmer in Southeast Asia thousands of years BC could easily gather and throw together, whereas making metal tubes or bells requires much more work and specialized technology.
These ancient bamboo versions were not necessarily exactly the same as what we now define as wind chimes (where each single chime is cut precisely at a unique length to produce a clear, unique note) but neither were the first metal versions.
Along with bamboo, seashells and bones were used. The gentle, random clattering in the wind was no doubt still pleasant to the human ear, but they served the practical purpose of startling birds away from crops.
I once visited a bamboo forest in Maui and I remember the beautiful sounds of the bamboo bumping into each other. There are many soundscapes for bamboo forests, but most don't capture the sound I remembered. This, while very different, is the closest I have gotten to those wonderful sounds I heard back in the forest.
Love that sound! Nice film work as well. My mom has six metal chimes and it messes with my epilepsy but bamboo soothes my soul and my being... Ty for this!

So I actually never knew of chimes because we never have them here in Denmark, but while I was plating Skyrim (a open world rpg pc game), I found this house or cabin making these weird noises, so I looked closer and saw one of these wooden chimes.
I was literally almost passing out just listening to the sound, ambience and music of Skyrim and these chimes.
(btw I'm unsure if this house was a mod or a vanilla house so idk if you can just find it, I don't remember where it was anyway so that doesn't help either lmao)
that's incredible the way which you learned about wind chime. glad Skyrim made you learn about chime.
This makes me want to get a cottage or something in the middle of nowhere without any sound but ones you hear in nature and set up some of these. With a nice tea set. Just sit out on the porch and admire it all.

My sisters and my children were going through my mothers things quite a while after her death. As we talked and laughed and celebrated the person she was we felt a cool breeze and the sound of bamboo clucking together. We all felt her presence. No one can ever take that away from any us with their doubt.

I feel you, it's awful when our animal natures are shoved into little boxes! I hope you spend time in nature to counteract the toxic work environment.🌿 I've had to move to a tiny 2nd floor flat with no garden, and it's awful. Theres communal garden with rubbish bins in 😆 this music let's me fantasise about my dream moss garden with bamboo swishing, fruit trees covered in bees, birds, and maybe a fox or two! When I was 4 I used to go down to my dad while he was living with a few of his friends in a house in this field of an Irish village, his friend bibe pronounced bibee used to have 2 windchimes next to this old tree. I used to just stand next to them and listen to the sound, it was magical! I still have 2 In my garden and the sound is so soothing.

I looked for videos like that because I saw in a part of the movie bird box and I liked the sounds.
I'm currently shopping for some wind chimes for my front porch. I really enjoy how the metal ones sound. These are also peaceful to listen to. The only things I would be worried about is where the bamboo is a little heavy, the wind would have to blow pretty hard for them to move.

In addition to the sound of the obvious Windchimes there's what one can hear is the sound of birds singing but in my mind it also sounds like it's on the beach somewhere so it's got the sound of the ocean waves crashing!
