Hey don’t try to hook up the refrigerant lines to the indoor head first. Push them up from underneath the bus,tie into the indoor head then the outdoor unit. That tubing bends easily but it can also kink easily.
Look on Amazon for “flare tite flare gaskets “
Use mineral oil on all mating refrigerant fittings and install those gaskets. At the indoor head and outdoor unit.
I’m not sure if you purchased a “diy” kit or what but usually flares are field made and installed.
Make preform a pressure test and then pull a hard vacuum on the system. They do t like any moisture in the system and they easily leak refrigerant if not installed meticulously. Good luck and ask me any more questions you may have. I’m an hvac tech and building my own bus and I’d be glad to give you advice. I’ve installed at least 200 mini split systems !
    Good luck!

too bad you cannot mount the compressor part laying flat, you wouldve been able to mount it under the verry back that way oh well , done a nice job , all you might want to do is screw a few scraps of wood from the outside of the box to the bottom of the hole where you mount the whole thing too, that way the load gets spread out a bit more and the aircon isnt hanging on just the screws
hope you can borrow a vacuum pump to empty the lines before releasing the coolant thats locked inside the compressor , this prevents moisture in the lines that can cause blockages when they freese up , it allso alows you to check for leaks before you loose the gas (the stuff is kindof expensive nowadays )
if you cant find the space under the bus maibe you can extend the rearbumper to make a shelve and mount the compressor unit between the rearlight and the emergency door on top of the bumper against the rear of the bus , you could put the future generator on the other end (though it be verry close to where you sleep), does make the bus about 2 foot longer

I see a lot of builds use it, but its so big and looks kind of cumbersome, especially with all the mounting you have to do. I'm curious (aaand a little skeptical) if it has any benefits over buying a regular, smaller unit from a big box store.
