    My Houston Nephew says you have jeopardized his marriage, because now HE has to go get a new Lotus Grill, and his wife says she will divorce him if he buys another grill, and he says, “go ahead, I have to have that grill!” So, I hope you are satisfied for ruining his marriage, although I must say the recipe looks delicious and I am going to go to Houston and commiserate with my Nephew and try the recipe and hit some gun stores and strip clubs. PROBLEM SOLVED by a new grill - WIN WIN!

    A quick trick with these Lotus grills (any size) -- just take aluminum foil and wrap the internal bowl -- so you don't need to wash it, which can be a bit tough with scorched fats.

    What a cool little grill! The recipe and dip look killer too. Does my heart good to see bleu cheese dressing (for whatever reason, in Texas, wings usually come with ranch dressing. I'm assuming because of profit margins).

    its important to point out that kewpie is japanese mayonnaise, which is a lot sharper than mayo in the west (helmanns kraft, etc) as they use rice vinegar instead of white distilled vinegar.
    a good alternative to kewpie (atleast here in the UK) is KENKO mayo.

    Neat little gadget you have there. You can purchase lump royal oak, the bottom of the bag is always full of smaller pieces.

    Amazing new toy! Wings are best grilled over med to high heat. Smoking wings just makes them meat mooshy

      Smoke them first to almost temp, then finish them over the hot area of the charcoal to crisp up. You can also finish them at high heat in an oven, toaster oven or air fryer. Or you can always fry them in oil to crisp. Lots of ways to work with a smoked wing and totally worth it for the flavor smoke imparts to the wings. Careful, though. Chicken wings are like a sponge when it comes to absorbing smoke - don't go nuts with too much smoke fuel. Too long and they'll be over smoked.

      Having used both, which do you find produces the best smoke flavour and being the most easy to use (set it and forget it) between the Gravity and AutoIgnite?
      I’m trying to decide between the two but they look so similar I think the only way is to try them haha

    Love you guys! I want this grill, looks good for camping. The side kick guy....honestly, I sorry you are developing male pattern baldness. So a solution I went through was shaving all of it off. Accept being more bald than covering up bald. I think you'd look good totally bald.

    I love cheese, but i will never understand blue cheese. Iv tried it a few times and in different ways, just always tastes like vomit 😅

      I more or less feel the same way, although I did quite an enjoy some bleu cheese my friend had cold-smoked. But it's not like something I can really eat a lot of. Maybe a spoonful, crumbled on top of a good steak.

      If you haven't tried it yet, the blue cheese gateway drug is mascarpone gorgonzola on some good bread. Also, blue cheese dip for spicy chicken wings but, really, try the mascarpone gorgonzola on bread, it's amazing!

    I brine my chicken in buttermilk. But I HATE pickles. You lost me there. I juice a jalapeno, onion, garlic, and grind some peppercorns and add that to my brine. Might as well marinade as I brine.
