Denise won a contest by DLP Welcome to take a tour with Tony Baxter (as one of only 10 people on it). He talks about the history of Disneyland Paris as we walked along Main Street, eventually making our way into Frontierland. He talks about Big Thunder Mountain, the dragon under the castle, his window on Main Street, and a lot more (one of the final questions was from Denise on some of his favorite attractions/memories as the park hits 25).

When Tony Baxter starts to REALLY resemble Walt Disney...
Scott Teresi
That's why I looked him up.
Wow! this is awesome.
It was incredible! - Denise
You had a nice tour with Tony Baxter, great video
Thanks Philipe it was amazing! Looking forward to seeing you soon for the big event!
Looking forward to meeting up again too :)
This was wonderful to watch. Mr Baxter seems like a nice guy, really has passion for it all. I wish DLP had audio tours like this you could listen to whilst walking around the parks!
I am actually working on an audio-guide for the French park. the 1st version will be in French though ;)
Tony Baxter needs to come back to WDI and create more one of a kind attractions !!!
I feel like Baxter is the last of the Imagineers with that “old school” vibe. I don’t get the feeling every decision he made was motivated by profit; he just wanted to create timeless experiences for guests because that’s what he genuinely loved to do. Even talking about Star Wars, he speaks of Lucas as a dreamer and admires the impact his stories have had on people. Now when executives talk about Star Wars I just see dollar signs in their eyes. I hope more people like Tony will continue to guide the parks forward.
Tbh whenever I work as an imagineer, I’d definitely like tony to mentor me.. and I’d like to follow his footsteps step by step beyond
What a great experience this was to see and hear.Tony is absolutely wonderful!Everything he says resonates with such clarity, insight, and intelligence.Looks like he was having a good time that day enjoying 'his Park' with some fans.
We need a whole series of this.
Why are people texting on their phones instead of actually listening to this Disney legend shameful 🙄
I doubt anyone was texting. Personally, I was doing my best to cover the event on Twitter using #TonyBaxterTour. So, any typing I was doing, was going out (with photos) immediately so that other fans could join in with the experience.
Daniel Gunstone I don't think anyone of us was texting. It was far too special and interesting for that. I was taking notes on my phone and taking photos, so i could write an article about it afterwards. So i could share this tour with everyone who wasn't able to be there. :-)
Everyone was paying attention, the only time I was on my phone was to capture a little sharing video with it.
@@MouseStepsWeekly I apologise it just goes to show how we older people can misconseiv the wayof social media
Oh my god I think I just died and went to heaven
Yes, please Mr. Baxter, suggest again to use Vincent Price's narrative version in our Phantom Manor! This ride would be even more awesome and stronger than it already is!
Wish now fulfilled 😄
Disney lost a treasure!! Thank you, Mr. Baxter!!
Tony Baxter, he’s my second hero since he made big thunder mountain, splash mountain plus tiana’s bayou adventure
When Tony talked about the covered arcades behind Main Street, it reminded me how in the early days it was possible to walk all the way from the Emporium to the entrance of Pirates of the Caribbean protected from the rain. Nowadays, this covered walkway is interrupted by both Aladdin's passage and the buffet restaurant which replaced the original bazaar.
such an awesome and genuine guy
This is fascinating, but I wish you'd pan over when he'd talk about things and point at them. Would have been nice to see the actual hotel, or Walt's Restaurant, the castle, etc. as he talked about it.
My dad worked in the factory that supplied the metal for constructing Disneyland Paris! :)
This is wonderful! Thank you for sharing this wonderful experience!
Thank you Jeff and Dennise ! Amazing tour!
This is heaven!!!! OMG I would be so star struck!
Thank you so much for this. I love it. Tony is my absolute favorite.
I had the pleasure of meeting Tony Baxter at the 5th anniversary of Disneyland Paris. A UK fanclub called Magical Moments & Memories, which unfortunately doesn't exist anymore, had organized a lunch at Walt's Restaurant with Tony and after lunch, Tony was supposed to do a 1 hour talk or so. Well, with all the great stories Tony had to share and all the questions we had, the 1 hour became 3 or 4 and the restaurant manager wanted to get rid of us, because they needed to prepare the restaurant for dinner (yes, in those days, restaurants were basically open all day!) but when the restaurant manager walked into the room, he noticed then-president of Euro Disney Gilles Pélisson sitting in a corner, also enjoying the stories of Tony, so he backed off :-)
What a amazing tour. Thanks for sharing! Tony is the best at this!!
your name is kinda like mine
This is the most incredible thing ever! Thank you so much for sharing
Fascinating to hear the stories behind DLP
I am actually working on an audio guide in French for the park ;)
This is absolutely amazing!

This is awesome! I 💖 both Tony and Disneyland Paris!!
Thank you for posting this!
As a native of Anaheim who lives 5 minutes from Disney it's crazy to see how other countries are.
I am getting ready for our trip in a couple of months to DLP and while searching for info on CZcams I found this vlog. Wow - what an amazing once in a lifetime experience!!! Thank you for sharing this with us so we could enjoy Mr. Baxter’s tour as well.
Please don't age anymore, Tony!
Awesome! Thank you so much for sharing this!

Amazing ! Thanks for sharing !
Thank you for sharing this. I'm happy they chose Frontierland :)
I am glad he chose it too, I wanted to hear about Big Thunder and Phantom Manor!
+MouseSteps / JWL Media Both look amazing in this park ;)
It was really cool as it's where I have the most memories and pictures from, but a part of me wished they'd chosen tomorrowland so they could be told about the original Jules Verne design
@@emjenkins464 me too
Omg this is amazing 👍🏽
this was great, shame there was not more for each of the lands, would love to learn more about them all
Awesome video! That would have been such a cool tour to be on. I'd love to meet Tony Baxter one day so yeah I'm jealous lol :P
This is the man I'd love to meet and possibly work besides him before time catches up with him. I do hope so much to possibly at least speak with him one day
Thanks this is priceless
Very interesting video! I really like it! I was in Diwneyland Paris 22 years ago, when its name was EuroDisney.
Very interesting indeed love Disney Paris it's so beautiful ☺
Very interesting thank you :)
The hub on paper is a hidden compass ._. Disney on paper is the hidden legend._. Picture of Disneyland is a hidden map._. Mickey is a key ._.
Kennedy assassination hides a Disney Os/Oz/O's enigma._.
Disney Os/Oz/O's enigma hides a treasure hunt._.
cool
We defiantly need a Tangled attraction" let Tony know please!
Tokyo is getting one
“You’ve been to downtown Orlando?!” Ahahaha
Hi Tony. When I was a kid, you lived I think 4 houses down from me. Do you remember the Greenwoods? My sister Kim went to school with your sister. My sister told me about your model of a marble track you made and presented to Walt. Congrats on your success.
That's great I'm going to Disneyland Paris in 2021 so yeah sick
I've been here just once so far. For a single day (Only D-L, not
Hollywood Studios), during our visit to Paris, as part of a three week
trip around Europe. It was early June of 2010.
I had recently graduated H-S and turned 18.
I must say, their versions of Big Thunder Mountain & Space Mountain
are the BEST!!
Oh yeah, and I applaud their Pirates OTC for avoiding the movie
influence updates.
No animatronic Johnny Depp to be found there!
It's also nice to know their Star Tours has kept the original Flight to
Endor.
5keeper7ful Sorry to say that Johnny depp ´s animatronic will arrive in july and a new version of star tours changed few days ago ... Space moutain is turning into star wars hyper space mountain .... 😩
Fortunately BTM is still the same and the best worldwide as you said 😉
Infortunetly Our Disney is going to be the same as those in USA ...
visited the park last week. The worst part for me was the music. The first two days of our visit all around the pirates queue line they played the movie soundtrack. It felt so wrong. But on the third day the old sound track was played, it was amazing how much more atmosphere the whole place suddenly had.
I'm looking forward to space mountain going back to mission 2. Don't know why they don't bring back earth to moon, it was the best version. Hyperspace mountain feels just lame. A ride form screen to screen. Projections should be banned from all attractions. At least use led-screens with a proper black value you have the money.
Last time I went was summer 2016 for a day. Unfortunately my proper childhood favourite of Space mountain had been levelled to get ready for the rebuild, a real shame as me and my dad used to ride every afternoon when my mum took my sister back to the hotel for a nap. They also played the original pirates soundtrack both times we rode it as it for some reason only had a 10-15 minute wait time.
Also did they change the drops between now and the 15th anniversary? I remember there only being one but it was two last time.
disneyland Paris and one disneyland resort in Anaheim California I never been disneyland paris
I wished this happened on me.
How did this happen? Did you win a contest or something?
Is the Molly Brown a real steam boat like the others MK parks?
Eric Biscuit Bit late to the party! But no it's not, it's actually on rails
28:30 Argh! He says the number one billboard is...then he turns away from the camera. Did he say the Marlboro Man? Is that still being used in France?
Adventure island hides an Os/Oz/O's treasure ._.
I have tracked the missing Wizard of Oz shoes to Disneyland ._. I hate irony.
You obviously edited this video in post. Why didn't you include shots of the Disneyland Paris Hotel and the Gazebo and other things he mentioned so we could have reference in this video during his tour? At the least you could have panned over to those areas.
Tony move on he tired of having his ideas shot down as cost too much or will not work. the old guard are gong and the new peoples having a clue how to desi
Disneyland Paris is still a flop.
