The only high I've ever gotten was closing 2 car doors at once in the Division
I love how instead of just saying “this game is bad, devs make it better please”, you actually give thought out ideas to change the game and create something doable, unique (in games), and objectively cool. Love your videos. That’s all
I was excited about The Division when they announced it because it looked like the closest thing to Escape From New York in a videogame form. They should've gone all in and populated the city with crazy gangs of cannibals and crackheads, used destroyed landmarks as notable locations and made the story a morally gray mission by a corrupt government. You could side with some gangs to guarantee safety in certain locations, but you'd always be vulnerable and low on resources, making scavenging, stealth, dirty jobs and even stealing from other players a necessity. Basically a mix of STALKER, MGS and DayZ, all set in a postapocalyptic New York. Add some sweet-ass 80's synth soundtrack and you've got one hell of a game.
I actually had a scrapped line from the intro where I also mentioned Escape from New York and then made a dumb metal gear pliskin joke
I was literally about to post a comment mentioning this. Glad to think others had a similar idea. Escape From New York is a fantastic movie that deserves a video game of it's own.

0:37 that’s always been my thing about games that level enemies.
Think about this... IF, everytime my character levels up, every single enemy in the game “levels up” (gets more life and increased damage, but otherwise stays the exact same)... what is really the point of leveling outside of gaining new skills?
If you’re going to scale-level enemies with the player why not have the player and enemies stay at the same health from beginning to end of the game and just grant new skills upon leveling up?
It’s like an arbitrary and unnecessary addition Devs make to reinforce the idea that you’re progressing, while also realizing that they didn’t put enough enemy varieties into the game to give you new, stronger ones to fight as you get stronger...
And that’s the problem with that approach, you never feel as powerful as you should feel, because the game scales enemy levels and power to compensate for your power and HP.

What I love about your content is that I keep seeing your older vids in my recommendations and they all slap like a groovy ass bass. They always catch my bassttention at the opening line cast and the crew of you and your yoga ball is so well rounded and down to earth. Your stuff is just great. I've daydreamed about an open word Metro 2033. Imagine having the entire Moscow metro open to explore, as well as the destroyed city above. It'd be this blending of the current metro games, silent hill survival horror, and some fallout 3 post apocalyptic city exploration. If only.
Having just completed two playthroughs of metro 2033 redux, goddamn yes! When the game loads from chapter to chapter i saw all the different stations on the map and i wanted to explore them so bad.

I'm only suggesting this because you said that you'd love the game that he described, so I'm positive that you'll enjoy dying light a shit ton. A suggestion from a gamer who is also a huge fan of these types of survival openworld games. And an added bonus to dying light, it's got full Parkour mechanics similar to Mirror's edge. But unlike mirror's edge, it's completely openworld, so you can climb anything that you see instead of the read highlighted stuff.
Also, they just recently announced Dying Light 2 and I couldn't be mkre excited. You can check out the teaser trailer for that game to somewhat understand what kind of game it's gonna be. And I'm sure that you will immediately see some similarities to this video in the teaser.

Playing Dying Light 2 right now, I know you mentioned at the end you played the first one and I absolutely agree it’s not really anything like what you described but the second one feels close in a lot of ways, specifically what you mentioned about climbing up the sides of buildings, you can wander into many of the floors of the skyscrapers in 2 and just find zombies sleeping in the dark, it feels straight out of I am legend and it’s such a cool feeling!
A few weeks ago this channel just showed up in my recommended videos and it's one of the few times CZcams really came through for me. Easily one of my favorite channels, keep it up hot boy

This is exactly why I love his videos. It reminds me of when me and my friends would get in trouble in school for talking too much during class about how cool we think a certain game will be when it comes out or how amazing it could've been if the developers tweaked some things around. As we've gotten older I don't think we really have the time to dive deep into games anymore like we used to; at least I know I don't.

Okay now take everything jakey said and add some fucking multiplayer, imagine having to split the loot so everyone has enough gear to survive and getting to explore the world maybe in a group or split up and find loot, imagine your friend being like, hey found a subway tunnel, and youre like alright let regroup there and explore and your friend can either say nah im taking this loot for myself and go down and die by himself or shoot a flare or something and you all gather at the subwat tunnel and clear it out, possibly being swarmed and finding no loot at all and having to evacuate putting everyone in a tough spot so it adds even more fun choices to the game
Especially if they made it similar to the Open world squad gameplay of Ghost Recon: Wildlands. The map doesn't have to be huge it just needs to be dense Wildlands was too big. That way you and your team could use cars you've repaired to cross the map quickly and regroup, or maybe even set up a kill box as a way to lure tons of enemies to you.
I saw a pic of the old PS2 memory card screen with all of the emblems and I immediately thought, “this makes me want to watch nakeyjakey.”

I always thought The Division was a cool idea. Lacking in content, but a cool idea nonetheless. But god damn, Nakey's version of The Division blows ubisoft's out the water. I want to play that god damn game and climb in those office buildings.
Josh It lacked content in the beginning but not anymore. I don't even have enough time to finish everything before the weekly reset.
One thing i will say for some time the dark zone was the most fun dynamic pvp world to have ever come into any video game ever. The tension of seeing the gray tags of other players for hours with nothing happening ,yet when someone tries to extract multiple teams looking at each other like some western stand off. Everyone just waiting for someone else to make a false move or make a mistake they can exploit. Engaging in manhunts and alerting the whole map of your location. Taking on the whole sever with a group of buddies and utilizing the dilapidated infrastructure of post apocalyptic New York. My favorite by far was going into the subway systems underground and holding out until we use out knowledge of the map above to make it out in an advantageous position for our situation.

Yesterday my friends and I were talking about how the aesthetic of the division was so nice but the game was unenjoyable.
After playing mankind divided, I know what I want in terms of gameplay
The stealthiness and secret passages everywhere combined with a bunch of parkour around a post apoctalyptic city, with dozens of active events like snowstorms and high tide(Flooding the lower city) while also having variable enemy control in response to your actions
Oh yeah, and a ton of factions that all fight each other inhabiting different microbiomes within the city like an overgrown crysis looking setting, broken down waterfront, mostly intact snowy bit

Dying light got the night time horror down you had run or sneak past the big beast zombies who would wreck your shit if you fought them. Maybe one day the ps6X we could get fully enterable city buildings, and i bet the credits for a game like that would look the Vietnam war memorial, but different.

Good times, I used to play the hell out of division with my online friends and I’m still in contact with my old groups. And some CZcamsrs like TuxBird who I used to play with on Xbox. Rarely anyone I know plays it still. It’s still pretty populated for a 6 year old game, I play here and there, but it feels like I’m trying to only play because of the nostalgia. To reminisce what once was with the boys. Also, it’s hard to play as a solo player, when everyone you know has moved on from it and I don’t feel like finding new people to play with. Division 2 was fun but it doesn’t beat the combat of Division 1

I'm still upset over this game. I was SO hyped about it, had been ever since the announcement in 2013. Played it for a month after release with my then-girlfriend. It was a good time, but after a while the lack of content and creativity ground away at our enjoyment of the game and eventually ended up breaking us up hahahaha kill me
But for real, this game had loads of potential. Shame.
You should check back these days. It's obviously not like the game hot boy Jakey described, but they added a lot of content with the 1.8 update.
