Congrats to having it launched. Fair winds!

this is the sexiest bow I've seen on a cruiser...

Rock on mates. Killer tuff design. Love the build and launch. Great fun. Powerful go any direction, any time.

Great video. OVNI400 is also one of my options. However, there are some concerns, such as the hydraulic lifting system, sailing performance, etc. Look forward to more videos and hopefully find the answer in your videos.🙂

beautiful boat, why didn't you go for the hard dodger? Also the alubat guys need to take some "driving" lessons... Enjoy the many miles to come

We discussed very much about the hard dodger and finally decided against it for these main reasons:
      1. The OVNI 400 has pretty massive appearance as per its design. And the doghouse gives it an even heavier look.
      2. Wind protection behind the sprayhood is excellent.
      3. For harbour manoeuvres, we sometimes like to take the sprayhood away for a better view.
      4. On a warm day at anchor, we wanted to have option to take the sprayhood away so that there is wind through the cockpit.
And yes, the collision with the wall of the bay of the travel lift was only centimeters away....

maybe not a hard dodger, but something akin to Hallberg Rassy...just a thought...

Very nice film thank you. Just missing : yacht designers mention. Happy new year for all .

are you guys considering a version of 400 with three chines instead of just two? Two chines look errr...a little boxy...with three chines 400 would look like a smaller sister of 430...just a thought...

Hi, thank you for your interest. Sorry but the 430 is an evolution of the 400, not a bigger one. The original 400 was already a big 40'. @@eduardgindin3763

Don't get me wrong - I love your designs and I find 430 to be revolutionary in many ways. But maybe one day there will be OVNI 400 Mark II with three chines instead of two. @@mortainmavrikiosyachtdesin4923

      Thanks for the reply.
I have been asked several times to make a video about the boat and our systems. I will do this during this summer. I will then mention you as the dsigners. Promised!

Nice! I have been hoping someone would make a channel showcasing the 400. Im seriously looking at a 370 but not in love with it's stabilty curve. The 400 seems like the all around better choice. You got a new sub, looking forward to seeing the 400 in action. What are your sailing plans with her?

Hello, you really know the 370's stability curve ? I assure you that the stability cant be your choice criteria .

@@mortainmavrikiosyachtdesin4923 Maybe it was a poor choice of words. What I meant was, that in order to make up for that delicate balance between shorter water line and, optimal ballast load. They had to go with a shorter mast on the 370. Which has reduced the sail plan thus making her not as nimble. Of course this is all just gleaned from articles and reviews so I have no idea how she really sails. Don't get me wrong, I think the 370 is an amazing boat. Which is why I spend hours just staring at photos of her and reading/watching everything I can get my hands. She is a huge jump forward in boat design and one of the more exciting boats to come out in years. And in my opinion she is more than capable of handling big oceans. I'm really curious about that one chine she has. It seems like it would dig in and lock her down while heeling. Since I mostly solo, I want a boat that will be as hard as possible to knock down if I have to heave-to. With sailing everything is a trade off. You want to be fast, your not as stable. Your want stability, your not going to be quick...

      @@justsomeit5818 Hello sir
My apologies for my rather poor English.
I understood that this was not a criticism, and thank you for the compliments.
I just wanted to tell you that the stability does not define altogether the good average speed of a boat, but just its ability to reach its hull speed in decreasingly light winds.
Many other design elements must be considered to optimize the speed of a sailboat: the drag of the hull, its shape stability, its volume well adjusted to the weight of real loads expected, the design of the daggerboards, the rudders, the pitch damping and road stability, etc. ...
We worked very hard with the shipyard team to design a real new concept of ocean cruising boat that brings modernity, comfort, ergonomics and performance.
The promising beginnings of this new range show us that we are in the right direction, and we are working to take things further.
It was a pleasure to have been able to discuss with you.
      best regards
      Alain MORTAIN

@@mortainmavrikiosyachtdesin4923 Wow! Who would have thought I'd be speaking to the designer one of my dream boats. And in the comment section of a youtube video lol. I think you are really on to something with the 370. That raised saloon and side galley is a stroke of genius. Unbeatable visibility, bright open living space and a ton of storage underneath. How did no one think of that before? I hope Alubat sells a lot of them. Then I might be able to scoop one up second hand when my kids finish school .😉
