Two Sides of the Elkmont Ghost Town: The Saved & Forgotten

Hey you guys, Chet the Dream Poet here. Come anchor down for another vlog today as we take a journey out to Elkmont, TN the ghost town of the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. This ghost town was created when the NPS took over the area. Now, after seven-year-long restoration project 19 buildings stand restored while 35 were torn down. This is the two sides of Elkmont: The Forgotten & the Remembered.

With an occasional ranger staying in the ranger station down the road that's about it.

What’s your opinion on the new law that you can’t film in national parks unless you apply for a permit?

I think it's impossible to enforce. Especially in this day-and-age when everyone has a camera in their pocket.
