Glad a few of them are being restored. It’s sad that all these old building have been left to rot or burned down by the government. Government ruins everything good!

Im actually first? Will comment after i finish watching the video. Wow I am so glad they were able to restore and save the cabins that they did. Otherwise our future generations would only get to experience what they could imagine in their minds. No one from back then had a phone. As in their City, Town or Community were considered "High Tech." If they had access to the Telegraph as in a Telegraph Office with a Operator that was able to translate all the taps coming down the line. People only sent messages of serious importance like news of a Birth, Death or if someone was Gravely Ill and not expected to live much longer. And if there was other family in the area within a days ride by horse would be expected to pass the news along to save on the cost of sending 2 telegraph's. I can understand why someone that has passed would think that someone that is able to contact them via a Spirit Box or other means of Spirit Communication is a Witch or Performing Witchcraft! Now day's everyone has their own cellphone in their pockets. Even little kids. It wasn't all that long ago that thing's were very different. I remember when I was a kid my Grandma complaining about the nosy Busy Body that lived up the road from her listening in on her phone calls on the Party Line. Which was on a rotary dial phone at the family farm in South Texas. There's a video on YT of kids now day's trying to figure out a Rotary Dial Phone that gave me a good laugh! But im only 50 i can just imagine what differences there will be in the next 20 year's. Awesome Video Thanks for sharing!!!! 👍👍

I wish they hadn't burned down what was left of the Wonderland Hotel. It was a cool place even though much of it wasn't left, now it's only a memory. Love the Elkmont area. Loving the videos !! Glad you are back !! You're doing great !!

I liked seeing them old Chimneys still standing, and thoes restored cabins look amazing.

@31:13 when Josh says he saw someone staring out the window of that cabin, I could make out one female adult and two smaller child like faces near the bottom. I had to lighten the photo and adjust the contrast to pull the images.
I will never understand what people get out of vandalizing abandoned places, I get more satisfaction from creating something rather than destroying anything.

It's great to see that some of the cabins are being restored instead of them rotting and being tore down!!! I do like seeing old ruins, I like it more when buildings are restored and used!!!

Awesome video Jon!! We were up in Elkmont just a bit over a month ago and the old Col's homestead (boarded up) was still open but the floors were extremely dangerous. We were able to walk in and even film upstairs.... Atleast the park is staying on top of it and trying to keep the vandalism down. This place is absolutely amazing!! Thanks for sharing a daytime explore!! Oh and yes those Parton's are related to Dolly!

Beautiful area. The log cabins look awesome. It would be a great trip to go on. That fenced in area does look like some kind of fall out shelter possibly. Great video.

Would have really enjoyed being able to see almost all the refinished cabins… I have always enjoyed looking at old structures and what not… I think I got that from my grandma, whenever we went to the mountains she would take all of grandchildren and go for a walk ~ than she would tell us stories of how things looked when she was a child (even if we heard the stories every year, they never got old)… Maybe one day you can explore whatever cabin is refurbished and you can take us all along with you thru video ~ OK (BUT, ONE DAY)…

I am thinking that large concrete structure with the pipes is either a bunker, as you said, or a cistern for storing water.
I was at elkmont about 6 months ago
i lived in a trailer park that had a system like that concrete thing and it had too do with waste water and sewage i believe. so gasses would also have too be let out of that too i guess.

The patio on the back of the Spence cabin is where me and my wife got engaged. I actually learned about Elkmont from your channel several years ago been going every year since! Also used your video to find the art cabin that is way back in the woods forgot the name of it. Avent cabin?

I’ve been to Elkmont. In that fenced area we squeezed through the fence. I thought it was where they kept water.
I have pictures from that cemetery too. We jumped the fence, there are lots of Partons there. That grave with the rocks was there when I went there about 2-3 years ago.
They were working on the chimney and roof of a cabin towards the front parking area the day I went.
I didn’t know about the Wonderland hotel. I’m so happy you took pictures years ago and now can compare.

I went to see this yesterday
I have pictures that I took back in late 90's of an area called the Tremont - old logging road (which goes up the mountain side - paved but steep - was told it used to have railroad cars with logs being taken to the bottom - the pavement covered where the tracks used to be - which was also along a river - I took and still have it, a picture of where I had to stand out on some big rocks almost in middle to get a good shot of the sun shining through the trees. At the top of this road, the Park has an information station about the logging that took place in that very area. I also thought that was the area called Elkmont -logging company called Tremont - is that where you are talking about? I don't recall seeing anything remaining of a hotel or cabins other then what was in that area where the logging took place back in early 1900's.....what is the name of the river that is running behind this building you are showing in this video?

The thing with the pipes in the ground could be a smoke house maybe.
I was there about 10 years or more and i have pics of some of daisy row. I met two ladies on the trail who once stayed there and they were documenting old owners houses. I even have a pic of one of the cemented spots on the side of the house with a name and year of 1956. Another photo is where the owners had written something on the floor when they left. All those restorations make me happy. But did you see if any of the old stones spelling out wunderland still exist at the top of the stairs? When i went there were a few letters left.
