My interpretation: The song basically is saying that if you choose to live your life as a martyr, rather than rising above whatever is tormenting you, then you are wasting your life. Many of their songs deal with emotional resilience.
It's endearing to see how so excited Dany gets when a predominately English speaking crowd chants, "Otra" for the encore. "You're saying it in Spanish? You guys are amazing!"
I saw them in Berlin a few months ago and they blew my mind. Then I managed to persuade my girlfriend (who really isn't a fan of rock music) to listen to them and she instantly became obsessed too. These three girls are the best thing to happen to rock music in a very long time
I doubt that you'll see them with the background screens and effects etc... although you never know. Expensive to tour with that stuff. They also change their visual outfits etc all the time, so you never know what they'll look like. I'm EXTREMELY envious that you are getting to see them live!

Also, I'd say make a video as everything starts, one on the middle, and one at the end... Just so that you can enjoy everything the ladies do... Next time with your husband, you can record as much as you want... Personally, I saw them in Dallas and loved every minute of the before hand goings on, and every minute of the entire concert !!! This song and the song Narcisista has inspired me to learn Spanish. I'm about 58 days into my duolingo lessons, but I still can only make out a few words. Maybe in a year I will be able to mostly understand it. Its a good brain exercise and a hobby, but The Warning has provided the reason to start. The official video for this is good too, shot really well and very artistic.

They recently announced that they will be playing at Wacken 2024, the largest most prestigious metal festival in the world. Wacken is in Germany next August. Scorpions will be headlining. Wacken sold out 85500 tickets in 4.5 hours! They have come so far.
Typically, music videos are not as good as the live version; however, I do recommend checking out the official music video. It's quite fantastic and epic.
The somewhat funny and impressive thing about that video is that the house frame that is so prominent in that video was actually meant to be a shelter from the weather. Mother nature had other plans, but The Warning crew made adjustments to made it work, and arguably improve on the original plan.
Yes Dave and Ashlena, you HAVE to watch the OMV for this song. The Warning might not do many videos other than their lives, BUT the ones they do are EXACTLY the types of videos you like. Their manager Rudy also worked in film. I think he was part of the Titanic crew. Dany and especially Ale are good artists so they probably contribute. Since Pau conceptualizes most songs she probably has a vision of the video concept. You can watch the OMV after this week though no problem. It's probably what Dave was suggesting.

All I’m going to say is watch Pau’s masterclass from the 2022 Soundcheck Xpo in CDMX. It explains in great detail what Pau currently actually does and doesn’t do from her laptop and what Dany does and doesn’t control from her Kemper guitar processor currently. The band constantly is changing which technology they use and how they implement said technology.
One of my many favourite songs from them :) I hope you gonna enjoy their concert, they are a blast to see live. Had the pleasure to meet them in Berlin this year. So nice and humble people, Mom and Dad allways there and around. And actually they sound better live then the studio versions, what is layered in the studio versions they harmonize it live. Ale creates a wall of sound from essiantially playing a lead bass, while Dany is creating a mix of rythm and lead guitar at the same time. All of the ladies, but especially Pau and Dany are absolute tech nerds, so they use their knowledge of music software, splitting channels and so on to even broader the sound. There are a couple of videos from all of them explaining their gadgets.
They are gaining world wide respect now. They became friends with Muse in Mexico where they opened for them for 4 shows (after The Pretty Reckless declined to do so!) and because of that they opened for them again for 5 shows in the UK and France where they also played a few festivals (two in Germany) as well as some headliners including Berlin. Fast forward to a few days ago when it was announced that TW was invited to play the oldest, largest Metal/Rock festival in Germany called Wacken Open Air in 2024. Here's an extra treat for you. Last year while on tour they played live at the SiriusXm Studios. I believe it was 5 songs in total. I believe this may be Dany's best vocal on Martirio that I've heard to date, especially her wails at the end. You also hear Ale's backing vocals clearer and louder than usual as well. Narcisista please. Written as a response to their Mexican critics complaining that they only wrote songs in English. It is also one of the songs Pau takes the lead vocals on. There have also been a few times that they give the audience at a show a really special surprise on that song. If you do this same dual reaction you'll see one of those.

Love that live Dany put some more grit into the belt at the end. 🤘🏻Later on this year they will be touring Mexico and they are now moving into 4000-6000 capacity arena. So now id the time to see them live in small intimate venues, because when they come back that may not be possible anymore.
Their mother actually helped them with the lyrics on this song because they were having trouble with getting them to translate to what they were trying to say. They have said that is one of the main reasons they write and sing in English. They actually performed this song for years before putting it on the Error album and re wrote it multiple times after hearing this version I'd say they got it right.

You'll have fun deciphering the video for XXI Century Blood, it's very well done and has won Awards!!! As usual a great reaction. Dani's voice is beautiful in her native Spanish, that goes the same for Pau and Alle. They only have 2 songs in full Spanish, the other is Narcisista but you will also find it sprinkled into others. Also you will find one song has some Japanese (Queen of the Murder Scene) in it and French (Amour), they have such a grasp on language you never know what you will hear.
The official music video for "Martirio" is quite excellent, as one might expect from these chicas. The lyrics video in a foreign language was a curious choice.
Don't speak a single word of Spanish, but the soaring nature of this track makes it my favourite. It seems to have been the 'official' show closer for many of their headline shows in the past year, judging by the various concert videos (excluding Evolve which has been their encore - the reasons for which will become apparent when you hear it) and even after nearly 2 hours Dany can still hit that note at the end. Pierces your soul.
I think one of the primary reasons TW is chosen to tour with/open for the big name rock bands is because their live performances are so dynamic and consistent, both vocally and instrumentally. You know they're gonna put on a great show...every single time. And you are just cool enough to be a The Warning fan haha! ⚡❄🤘
Now you need to see the Official Music Video. It is amazing. You'll LOVE it. When you are at the concert, there is a videographer named Martin Blais(Martin TW) who has been following The Warning for well over a year, posting their concerts. From Canada, to the US, to Mexico, to Peru, to England, and much of their European tour. He is Canadian, and a solid The Warning fan. If you had found the girls earlier, I am sure you would have watched some of his videos and seen his face as he videoed fans in line and talked with them. Like most TW fans he is friendly and knows many of the fans and staff crew of the band.
That Matrio performance has left me in awe , they put so much of their soul into their songs, I hope they come to NY. Ashlena luv your pony tail , lol .
Studio versus live is something they've talked about. Their goal in studio is to reflect what they can do live instead of trying to make live sound like a too polished recording. This album is where they most closely met that goal so far.
Lol. Since you’ve become such a fangirl…. You should know that good things (and amazing music) comes in small packages. You mentioned that you are 5’3”. That’s the same as Dany. Pau maybe clears 5’0” on a good day. Making Ale the tallest by far at around 5’7”. Hopefully you’ll get to meet a lot of fans not just of The Warning but also of your channel. You are Dany's height which means you are taller than Pau and shorter than Ale. Pau was smiling throughout the concert not only because she was having fun with her sisters, but also because the crowd sang along with EVERY song. At the end of the concert Dany was interacting with the crowd, Pau was in tears, and what was Ale doing? Comforting her older sister. Ale is a self-proclaimed and proud introvert. The great thing is she doesn't feel the need to emulate her older sisters or be like them or compete with them to fit in. She never has. She's always been comfortable within herself. Yeah, she's very quiet in interviews, it doesn't mean she is shy or lacks confidence, she just doesn't feel the need to compete with Pau and Dany. She will interject now and again but mostly stays quiet. If she is asked a question she answers directly, concisely, and without hesitation. Welcome to TWA! I’ve read that when this song was recorded, Dani the lead singer cried when recording this song in the studio. It is a very emotional song. I consider myself a pretty tough guy, I don’t cry unless for close relative’s deaths. But this song stirs emotions in me. Dani’s voice at the end always gives me chills. Also, if you look closely during the live show, you can see Pau crying. She got very emotional towards the end because as she said “It just got to me to see all those people singing word for word our song.” I am glad that you love these girls. People that know good music can not find one single flaw in their music playing and structure. Keep on rocking 🤘

Awesome Reaction! After you see them live and react to alot more of their songs you can start watching some of the non-music video's they post and some of their interviews. In the interviews, sometimes it's hard for even Dany to get a word in with Pau sitting there because she will jump right in and answer every question and poor Ale always just sits there because she has no chance of talking unless the interviewer asks her a question directly. They have some video's where they try and teach each other how to play their instrument and sometimes it gets hilarious.
They sound as good live as studio because they are THAT good that when their record off the soundboard that has direct signal from the effects boards you get their tone straight to record
Can’t say enough about these young ladies and their musical abilities. I think that you’ll be having the time of your life seeing them live at a smaller venue. It was magical when they visited San Francisco earlier this year. Looking forward to your next reaction.

Matirio was the last song of a triumphant, emotional performance in front of their countrymen. All of those faces Pau was making throughout the song was her trying to sing and breathe while she was crying her eyes out. Bless her heart.

This song, even more than most, is better live. I hadn't particularly liked this until I saw it live. The full passion needs to be experienced in person/
If you get a chance, the music video for Martirio is first class! It was shot in the desert near where they live. It was windy, dry, and extremely hot at 45 degrees C. It was like they were being sandblasted and intermittently attacked by wasps. But the result is very cool looking. The live performance at Teatro Metropolitan was stunning and emotional for them all not only because of the past criticism they received for only singing in English but because of the crowd participation. Martirio was their first encore song at the show. Evolve was their finale. At the end of the concert, Pau broke down and buried her face in Ale's shoulder for a few moments to receive comfort. You are right about Ale's personality. She is the rock of the group. She usually isn't the first of them to speak in any situation, but she never wastes words. When she says something Pau and Dany stop and listen. And she is great at dishing out sarcasm. I'm sure you'll get many chances to see them. They loved Canada when they toured with Three Days Grace last winter, except for how cold it was as they aren't used to that and all of them came down with the flu. But they had a blast playing in and around Toronto and in Montreal.
Yeah our country gets way too cold lol they are lucky they are coming in summer and the weather is hot but very humid now. They seem like such down to earth girls. I love it. Thanks for all of this info!

The band constantly is changing which technology they use and how they implement said technology.
One of my many favourite songs from them :) I hope you gonna enjoy their concert, they are a blast to see live. Had the pleasure to meet them in Berlin this year. So nice and humble people, Mom and Dad allways there and around. And actually they sound better live then the studio versions, what is layered in the studio versions they harmonize it live. Ale creates a wall of sound from essiantially playing a lead bass, while Dany is creating a mix of rythm and lead guitar at the same time. All of the ladies, but especially Pau and Dany are absolute tech nerds, so they use their knowledge of music software, splitting channels and so on to even broader the sound. There are a couple of videos from all of them explaining their gadgets.
They are gaining world wide respect now. They became friends with Muse in Mexico where they opened for them for 4 shows (after The Pretty Reckless declined to do so!) and because of that they opened for them again for 5 shows in the UK and France where they also played a few festivals (two in Germany) as well as some headliners including Berlin. Fast forward to a few days ago when it was announced that TW was invited to play the oldest, largest Metal/Rock festival in Germany called Wacken Open Air in 2024. Here's an extra treat for you. Last year while on tour they played live at the SiriusXm Studios. I believe it was 5 songs in total. I believe this may be Dany's best vocal on Martirio that I've heard to date, especially her wails at the end. You also hear Ale's backing vocals clearer and louder than usual as well. Look up "Dany sings Painkiller with Three Days Grace." 😉 The Warning has this strange superpower of getting along with almost any band they support or that opens with them. Lzzy gifted a Gibson Arejay played drums so Pau could sing out front TDG let Dany sing in their set Barry played on Choke in TW set so Dany could shine Matt gifted Dany a guitar Royal Blood had them open a couple of shows for them GnR has them opening for them again after being impressed by their MX opening.

Narcisista please. Written as a response to their Mexican critics complaining that they only wrote songs in English. It is also one of the songs Pau takes the lead vocals on. There have also been a few times that they give the audience at a show a really special surprise on that song. If you do this same dual reaction you'll see one of those.

Love that live Dany put some more grit into the belt at the end. 🤘🏻Later on this year they will be touring Mexico and they are now moving into 4000-6000 capacity arena. So now id the time to see them live in small intimate venues, because when they come back that may not be possible anymore.

Their mother actually helped them with the lyrics on this song because they were having trouble with getting them to translate to what they were trying to say. They have said that is one of the main reasons they write and sing in English. They actually performed this song for years before putting it on the Error album and re wrote it multiple times after hearing this version I'd say they got it right.
their greatest strength is they treat a 600 seat hall the same as an 80,000 seat stadium. The Warning love their fans.

As usual a great reaction. Dani's voice is beautiful in her native Spanish, that goes the same for Pau and Alle. They only have 2 songs in full Spanish, the other is Narcisista but you will also find it sprinkled into others. Also you will find one song has some Japanese (Queen of the Murder Scene) in it and French (Amour), they have such a grasp on language you never know what you will hear.
You’re going to love the show. No question about it.

The official music video for "Martirio" is quite excellent, as one might expect from these chicas. The lyrics video in a foreign language was a curious choice.
I tend to react to audio before I watch any type of live or music video so hence why I chose the lyric video

I'm seeing them Aug 16th! I'm beyond excited
Don't speak a single word of Spanish, but the soaring nature of this track makes it my favourite. It seems to have been the 'official' show closer for many of their headline shows in the past year, judging by the various concert videos (excluding Evolve which has been their encore - the reasons for which will become apparent when you hear it) and even after nearly 2 hours Dany can still hit that note at the end. Pierces your soul.

I think one of the primary reasons TW is chosen to tour with/open for the big name rock bands is because their live performances are so dynamic and consistent, both vocally and instrumentally. You know they're gonna put on a great show...every single time. And you are just cool enough to be a The Warning fan haha! ⚡❄🤘

Now you need to see the Official Music Video. It is amazing. You'll LOVE it. When you are at the concert, there is a videographer named Martin Blais(Martin TW) who has been following The Warning for well over a year, posting their concerts. From Canada, to the US, to Mexico, to Peru, to England, and much of their European tour. He is Canadian, and a solid The Warning fan. If you had found the girls earlier, I am sure you would have watched some of his videos and seen his face as he videoed fans in line and talked with them. Like most TW fans he is friendly and knows many of the fans and staff crew of the band.

Studio versus live is something they've talked about. Their goal in studio is to reflect what they can do live instead of trying to make live sound like a too polished recording. This album is where they most closely met that goal so far.
Lol. Since you’ve become such a fangirl…. You should know that good things (and amazing music) comes in small packages. You mentioned that you are 5’3”. That’s the same as Dany. Pau maybe clears 5’0” on a good day. Making Ale the tallest by far at around 5’7”. Hopefully you’ll get to meet a lot of fans not just of The Warning but also of your channel. A perfect album and show closer, Ale's bass sounds so damn good.
You are Dany's height which means you are taller than Pau and shorter than Ale. Pau was smiling throughout the concert not only because she was having fun with her sisters, but also because the crowd sang along with EVERY song. At the end of the concert Dany was interacting with the crowd, Pau was in tears, and what was Ale doing? Comforting her older sister. Ale is a self-proclaimed and proud introvert. The great thing is she doesn't feel the need to emulate her older sisters or be like them or compete with them to fit in. She never has. She's always been comfortable within herself. Yeah, she's very quiet in interviews, it doesn't mean she is shy or lacks confidence, she just doesn't feel the need to compete with Pau and Dany. She will interject now and again but mostly stays quiet. If she is asked a question she answers directly, concisely, and without hesitation.

Welcome to TWA! I’ve read that when this song was recorded, Dani the lead singer cried when recording this song in the studio. It is a very emotional song. I consider myself a pretty tough guy, I don’t cry unless for close relative’s deaths. But this song stirs emotions in me. Dani’s voice at the end always gives me chills. Also, if you look closely during the live show, you can see Pau crying. She got very emotional towards the end because as she said “It just got to me to see all those people singing word for word our song.” I am glad that you love these girls. People that know good music can not find one single flaw in their music playing and structure. Keep on rocking 🤘

I am glad on your behalf, TW is awesome live I saw them in Berlin for the first time. It is a full package fantastic music, lyrics and personality I love them.
Awesome Reaction! After you see them live and react to alot more of their songs you can start watching some of the non-music video's they post and some of their interviews. In the interviews, sometimes it's hard for even Dany to get a word in with Pau sitting there because she will jump right in and answer every question and poor Ale always just sits there because she has no chance of talking unless the interviewer asks her a question directly. They have some video's where they try and teach each other how to play their instrument and sometimes it gets hilarious.
Don't forget Pau's baking videos and all of the after show videos they've posted during the European tour.

Matirio was the last song of a triumphant, emotional performance in front of their countrymen. All of those faces Pau was making throughout the song was her trying to sing and breathe while she was crying her eyes out. Bless her heart.

If you get a chance, the music video for Martirio is first class! It was shot in the desert near where they live. It was windy, dry, and extremely hot at 45 degrees C. It was like they were being sandblasted and intermittently attacked by wasps. But the result is very cool looking. The live performance at Teatro Metropolitan was stunning and emotional for them all not only because of the past criticism they received for only singing in English but because of the crowd participation. Martirio was their first encore song at the show. Evolve was their finale. At the end of the concert, Pau broke down and buried her face in Ale's shoulder for a few moments to receive comfort. You are right about Ale's personality. She is the rock of the group. She usually isn't the first of them to speak in any situation, but she never wastes words. When she says something Pau and Dany stop and listen. And she is great at dishing out sarcasm. I'm sure you'll get many chances to see them. They loved Canada when they toured with Three Days Grace last winter, except for how cold it was as they aren't used to that and all of them came down with the flu. But they had a blast playing in and around Toronto and in Montreal.
Yeah our country gets way too cold lol they are lucky they are coming in summer and the weather is hot but very humid now. They seem like such down to earth girls. I love it. Thanks for all of this info!
