The key to The Warning is each sister brings something unique to the table. Paulina is a thunderous creative force, Daniela is now a vocal powerhouse with amazing front woman energy and Alejandra is a quietly intense budding virtuoso on bass. When they step onto a stage together, that shared charisma is magic.
And there is still the Queen of the Murder Scene album, about a girl that goes from unrequited love to obsession, stalking, murder, and then the battle against her evil side for her soul. 'Dust to Dust' is the intro.
QOTMS is one of the best concept albums ever! Think about this, no one ever does a concept for the second album. The Warning did because they are geniuses. Pau writes like the late and uber talented Neil Peart once had. She is a hell of a story teller, and combined that with the talents of her sisters (who also contribute to lyrics). There is no band out there as epic as The Warning.
Disciple is a critique of social media creating political, cultural and social echo chambers for profit. Animosity was written by Paulina, the drumming, about a falling out she had with someone she knew.
THAT'S WHY THE WARNING, IS THE WARNING!!!. SIMPLY AND SIMPLY 3 SISTERS, THEY SOUND AS IF THEY WERE 5 OR MORE, THEY COMPOSE EXCELLENT SONGS (MUSICALLY AND LYRICALLY) THEY ARE A SPECTACLE WHEN THEY ARE ON STAGE, THEIR SYNCHRONICITY IS PERFECT AND THEY ARE EXPERTS OF THEIR MUSICAL INSTRUMENT INCLUDING THEIR VOICES. Great reaction! As for Animosity there are actually 2 stories. Paulina (the drummer) wrote this song about a fake friend and ending that toxic relationship. The music video is actually about Scarlet. She dies and goes to hell. Satan tells her she can go back to the world if she becomes the Grimm Reaper. As the Grimm Reaper she carries out her tasks of killing those who should die but builds her momentum to confront and kill Satan, thus becoming the queen of the underworld.
Three fantastic songs, all different yet all The Warning. This EP is amazing. Animosity is the first song Pau says she has written about a personal relationship gone sour. You’re right that the lyrics don’t entirely fit the cartoon, which is about a girl who is headed for Hell, but makes a deal with Satan that if she sends a sinner to Hell every day as the grim reaper, she can avoid being in Hell herself. disciple is actually an english word hahaha And It is not about fighting against the system, it is almost the opposite, is about how in social networks, some use the idea of fighting against the system to favor his personal interests and keeping you in ignorance
Not really the opposite either. Social media is run by a system ( _algoritms_ ) that divides people and opinions and keeps them divided and ignorant of the other side's arguments. It's not really any political reasons behind this but more a way to gain money from those that seek people with certain interests or hobbies ( _and even opinions_ ). It makes advertising a lot easier and cheaper. The main problem is that the system only directs individuals into certain directions and in the long run opinions will only become black or white and nobody can decide who is black or white. That way everyone becomes ignorant. 😉
Muse is one of their biggest influences. You don’t have to react to them but go and check out their muse covers of hysteria and resistance. The Animosity video is a collaboration with a web toon comic series. The video was done around the song so it has nothing to do with the comic storyline.

Hello Alice, Nice to see you back with great reactions to The Warning. Funny you mentioned Muse as The Warning cite them as one of their favourite bands and influences. I have a theory as to why Animosity was not rated higher. Was it that ALE was not physically present 😉. Webtoons contacted The Warning for a collaboration about doing a music video. Dany already watches The grimreaper on webtoons so the collaboration was formed. The Grim reaper is an existing web comic that has already run 3 years so that is why the animation is in that style. Was great to bring awareness to the fans of the comic to The Warning and vice versa. Great reaction to 3 songs and may I suggest a filter on forth coming videos that may have copyright issues instead of chopping them up. Try the live version of Animosity that they released on Christmas. The venue is the studio at Victoria Records in Monterrey. This was part of a charity event that The Warning participated in. If you go to Webtoons, there is a comic strip there called I'm the Grim Reaper by Graveweaver, who is a female artist from LA (I think). She worked with The Warning on the creation of the video. I think there were other animators involved who work with Webtoons. There is a video of The Warning interviewing her just before the video's launch. Dany is a big fan of the comic strip, so that is one of the reasons for the collaboration. If you follow the strip (there are over 105 episodes so far and a new one posts every Sunday), the music video will make more sense. Yes, the comic doesn't apply 100% to the song, but the vibe works well. And this song wasn't my favorite from the EP at first but it has rapidly become something I listen to more often. I love the bass lines in it. My favorite song on the EP is Evolve. That one showcases Pau's percussion, I think. Choke is more of a showcase for Dany's vocals. I have always liked Martirio even before I translated the lyrics. It just sounds good at first listen. There isn't a bad song on the EP or really any of their released collections. Z, which is about Generation Z, reminds me a lot of some of the stuff from their previously released material from XXI Century Blood, especially the driving beat and the theme.
