We’ve locked celebrities in a room together and thrown a bunch of puzzles and riddles at them to see if they can free themselves in under a half hour. Janet Varney hosts as we bring the escape room phenomenon to the screen.

Already know this is going downhill when Felicia takes the starting block off the pedestal... they gave you the FRIST PIECE!! Why would you mess with that?

This was so entertaining and cute. I'm a big fan of Felicia Day. All four actresses had a good chemistry and comedic timing together, and their tasks were fun and creative. I especially liked notes/comments that would sometimes appear in the bottom of the video, and the interviews with the participants. CZcams really needs more positive and creative videos like this. Keep up the great work.

I can't believe that at least one of you hadn't seen Die Hard With a Vengeance. That cup puzzle was easy! LOL

The 4 Cups thing takes like 20 secs, free time can't believe they wanted to skip it! Also this was 10x easier than the Escape room Matt Mercer and Co had to do. They should try to make them equal in difficulty
It's not trivial if you haven't seen a solution to it before, but yeah I'm sure I could have come up with one of the two solutions on the spot in a minute or two. I have heard of that puzzle before. Anyway, people who don't see the solution should have a look at mathforum.org/library/drmath/view/58594.html.
There are no markings on the inside, and especially if the sides aren't vertical, it's not possible to *accurately* judge the half-full point. That's not the solution.
Yeah I have to agree that this escape room was much easier. The puzzles were more concrete in this one while the other was very abstract in the clues.
you just had to fill the 5 cup one and dump it in the 3 cup one and the do that again

I am so excited to see G&S do a series with escape rooms. I don't get to play escape rooms, but ever since I did one over Thanksgiving I want to consume all things escape room. There are so few high quality escape room videos, and I am so glad this series is happening. If I had money to throw at this series, I would.
full the 5 cup container with sand. fill the 3 cup container from the 5 cup. what is left is 2 cups. do that twice. 4 cups.
It said that it had to be put in all at once. The correct answer is to
use the "5 cup" to fill the "3 cup", then dump out the "3 cup" and
transfer the remaining 2 cups to the "3 cup". Then refill the "5 cup"
and use it to fill the remaining space (1 cup) in the "3 cup". That will
leave 4 cups in the "5 cup".
that's not right cause you have to put the 4 cups in the bucket at the same time.
you have to fill the 3 cup container and pour it into the 5, do it again so that it fills the other 2 spaces in the 5 cup container and leaves 1 cup in the 3 cups container. empty the 5 cup container and pour in the remaining cup that you previously left in the 3 cup container, then you fill the 3 cup container again and pour it into the 5 cup container that should now have 1+3 cups giving you the 4 cups you require to pour in the bucket at the same time.
it's a century-old puzzle, but for these four, it's like quantum physics.

This is basically a game from the Aztek zone in The Crystal Maze
Fill the 3 cup container. Pour it into the 5. Fill the 3 cup container again. Pour it into the 5. You're left with 1 cup in the 3 cup container. Dump out the 5 cup container. Pour the 1 cup of sand into the 5. Fill the 3 cup container and pour it into the 5 cup container. BAM!

you can't do it twice you have to do it all at once when putting it in. the other way is fill 5 cup dump in 3 cup you have 2. Dump the 2 cup in the 3 cup and fill the 5cup. Dump what fits in the 5 cup in the 1 cup and that leaves 4 cups in the 5 cup
I would have used the water bucket with the cork to simplify it. Fill
the 5 cup, and pour 3 cups into the 3 cup, then empty the 2 remaining
cups into the water bucket. Twice. Then empty the water bucket into
the sand bucket. That way, the sand bucket still has the 4 cups dumped
into it in one go, as per instruction.
To get exactly 4 cups in the bucket pour in 2 full 3 cups, use the 5 cup to scoop exactly 5 cups from the 6 that are in the bucket leaving 1 cup, dump in 1 full 3 cup... 4 cups
Get rid of all the cups except one, and have two of the contestants wait until one really needs to poop...

I love it when Felicia are in these games! She's practically my favorite on Geek & Sundry. I didn't know Felicia was the owner until today, which is kind of dumb, but that's great!
Also, the grid fill-in shape is hilarious. Look at it for a bit.
Amy wasn't doing too much so I'm glad Felicia eventually took charge and figured it out
I don't know if it's just because it's the first one I watched, but this has got to be my favorite episode
The sand bucket puzzle is pretty easy. You fill the 5 cup, empty into the the 3 cup. Then empty the three cup on the floor, put the remainder of the 5 cup into the 3 cup. Then refill the 5 cup. Then put as much of the 5 cup into the 3 cup until 3 is full and you're done measuring.
(eg. 5-3=2, then 2+0=2, then 2+1=3 at the same time as 5-1=4). Empty what's left in the 5 cup into the bucket and you're done.
This was one of the most entertaining room escapes I've seen so far. The way they all freaked out whenever something happened was really funny XD

This one was so much easier than the one with magician :D and the 4 cups puzzle? Fill the "5 cups" cup to the fullest, than pour it into "3 cups" cup until it's full, that will leave you with 2 cups in "5 cups" cup, repeat one more time and you have 4 cups in total in the bucket :)

Solution to the cups: it said you need to put 4 cups all at once so it goes full the 5cups container pour it to the 3 cups container and you are left with 2cups inside the 5cups container you empty the 3cup container and pour the 2 cups that were inside the 5cup container then you fill the 5cup again and you pour it to the 3cup container which has already 2cups so you are left with 5cups-1cups= 4cups its easier than it sounds

for the record the Die Hard 3 puzzle is easy if you watched Die Hard 3.. fill up the 5 jug, pour it into the 3 jug. dump out the 3 jug, dump the 2 left in the 5 jug into the dumped out 3 jug. fill up the 5 jug again. dump 1 from the 5 jug into the 3 jug that only has 2 in it to make 3 leaving 4 in the 5 jug. The cup part of the puzzle is so easy to solve. First, you have a container that holds 5 cups and a container that holds 3 cups. You first fill up the container that holds 3 cups and then pour it in to the container that holds 5 cups. You then fill up the container that holds 3 cups again and then pour the container that holds 3 cups in to the container that holds 5 cups. Since you only have enough room in the container that holds 5 cups to hold 2 more cups, that would leave you with 1 cup left in the container that holds 3 cups. You do that 3 more times and you have your 4 cups!
Clicked for Felicia, stayed for the fact that escape rooms are HILARIOUS when your default reaction is "TOUCH IT, PRESS IT, SHAKE IT" and you're just flailing around trying to solve them first.

That cup puzzle is easy as can be. Use the 5 cup container to pour in 5 cups of sand into the bucket. Then scoop sand out of the bucket with the 3 cup container. You're left with 2 cups in the bucket. Repeat this and you'll have exactly 4.
I like that to start the puzzle they move the block of the pedestal, that is most likely there for a reason
This was painful to watch. I hope it was just the editing making everyone look panicked. And what's with the fear of sand and water? Have none of them ever been at the beach? How do they shower?
I agree about the editing, the point of escape room videos is to see people trying to work things out, it doesn't need a constant barrage of cuts to interviews every few seconds to explain what we should be seeing for ourselves. This felt like someone trying to film a documentary about what escape rooms are.

Felt like this room was a bit easier than the last, still awesome! fun to see them figure it all out, is a little time disorienting though with the edits, but thats not a big gripe.
I figured out the hourglass puzzle immediately and felt like a genius, but I know if it were me in that room I'd just be screaming along with the rest of them.
