Taking my test Thursday. Remember for metals objects (BBC) Broken, Bent, or Cracked. For rubber/hoses (ABCDF) Abrasions, Bulges, Cuts, Dry Rot, or Frayed! (PMS) Properly Mounted and Secured. And for anything with hoses going into not leaking.
A couple notes. If you mess up ANY part of the AIR PRESSURE test, it's an automatic fail, even if the rest of the pre-trip is perfect. Also you have to start with the air pressure test, not the air brake test (at least thats what I was taught by a licensed examiner). Of course, the CDL test varies depending on the state, and what I just said applies to Missouri so.... yeah. Good luck and practice until you're sick of it.
Does anyone start straight from the seat belt then emergency equipment then safe start can u do a video with out all the extra starting straight from the seatbelt emergency equipment then safe start

I did a pre-trip on the girl i was with last night, everything passed except: Although It was securely mounted and not broken,there was definitely 2 cracks and 2 holes. one hole was elongated, indicating excessive wear, please advise. is this something that the DOT will put out of service or can i continue and have her repaired at the nearest facility?

I forgot to mention ... the Ohio CDL manual says 20 to 45 psi for the valves to pop out. Probably won't matter for the exam, but in your video you state 20 to 40.
In my state you have to pass airbrakes in cab pretrip inspections. In order to move to yard movements skills test. You have to pass that to move to the road test then pass to become licensed in class A license.

You need to get a DOT physical done to drive a CMV. They're not super expensive but not cheap either. Some really big companies will pay for you to get a DOT physical before they bring you in for training. Hope this helps!
wonderful 😍🥰 I really Love Felicia training and instruction videos . I'm an Iranian guy and computer networking engineer. But I wish i could live and work in USA and attend in her Class A training course. Her English accent for me that my mother language is Persian is clear enough to understand most critical points and her patient and professional attitude persuade me to change my job from networking to Driving heavy load trucks . i wish i had this chance to see her and fully train according to US roads policies under her supervision.😭😢I wish ,,, I wish,,,, I wish.... Hello Felicia and others who helped to make this video! It's been beyond helpful. My only "negative" here, is that at certain points in the video, I can hear someone else saying something. Seems to be just during the in cab portion. Not sure if there's a way to edit out that person talking, but it would be less distracting. But again ... thank you so much for this extremely helpful video!!!

Hey lady in 1985 when I took my CDL test I had a Texas state trooper test me ! Now a days you just have an examiner ! That's what's always been required seat belt first! In the video the gal doesn't put it on upon entering and seating in the truck just the facts and rules! Old school driver darling!! Learned from my old man Jose !! 77 Freightliner spring ride no power steering! Boy would it blow black smoke and hammer down!!!
Air loss test must be first in Texas. Failed today because I did it in the order of the video, not a big deal I will pass next time!

I haven't took mine yet but I've been told that you're supposed to put your seatbelt on as soon as you enter the truck before you do anything else

I'm studying in new jersey. they gave me 10 pages of text. and there are so many details. definitely ohio is easier.

You're 100% wrong bet you didn't say air pressure was 120 to 140. Most people forget to mention that. If you don't automatically fail.
Your school should have given you a checklist to go by and it should show to speak about the air or hydraulic brake check first
