D. Nashoku - Krigsgaldr: In The Land Of The Slavs

In The Land Of The Slavs is connected with the song "Krigsgaldr: Valhalla" of my first album "Of Gods & Men". It is my reimagining, a concept spread across two songs, how the Vikings and the Slavs met, fought among them and how their cultures and beliefs interconnected and mixed and their resistance towards accepting Christianity at that time.

Roma means nothing.

A reverse Pentecost,
death purrs with a sombre lilt,
I watch as the masses
seek a fake salvation,
as I breed annihilation.

The beast is rising,
enwreathed in flame,
the soundtrack bleeds insanity,
sing his name in rapture.

Omnicide, draw the final curtain,
cataclysm close to midnight,
that is certain,
the Angel of Death
slips through the burning leaves,
theatrical, the courted orchestra
plays this wicked little pandemonium.
