While You Were Sleeping

I wrote this song this past weekend as an assignment... I'm studying with a group of women to prepare for a trip to Germany in a couple of years, and our learning weekends are organized into the themes of Grimm's fairy tales. This weekend was Briar Rose, and the activity I lead was to reflect on the story, or on something else we learned during the weekend, in some creative way... so I wrote a song about Sleeping Beauty's Prince, exploring the possibility that he did all that work and then she wasn't into him. Now you know what it's all about. It's been a long time since I wrote a song... hoping this is the beginning of a new good habit.
