my hard drive crashed and died. I installed a new hard drive and all the OneDrive files are gone when I log in. What happened to them. Aren't they automatically uploaded to the cloud?
Before the crash, was OneDrive synchronizing files? Just go to your OneDrive on browser and check. Even if the hard disk failed, if sync was ON, all files should be there. If not, check inside the OneDrive Recycle Bin on browser.

Go to SharePoint Admin Center and configure Sharing settings.
