Looks like a good player with the basic fundamentals will learn his position with training with party.
Last few reports from genuine Twitter sources said they're earmarking him for a LB role, like Zinchenko. Able to drift in with ease, but robust on the ball, strong tackles, can drive forward.
Dont think he has the head to play a modern 6, atleast right now.
If Rice was moved to 8 since he cant play the 6 role Arteta wants, a la Rodri, then you cant expect MLS to do it.
Very few can play that role, Partey, Rodri and few, like the Championship player Palace signed in the winter.
The clearest academy modern 6 Ive seen is Mainoo, but he's not the finished article so he struggles and has looked average recently.

Sorry he is nothing like partey, partey is bigger and taller and sheilds the ball better. He is more of a 8 player box to box , partey is not a box to box midfielder.
Partey isn't bigger, just taller. Partey still looks like Bambi on ice at 17. Skelly can definitely play the 6 just needs a bit more polishing.
