1st and foremost my comment will not count as I am not a farmer or agriculture expert. I inherited a Massey Ferguson 135 from my father, hence the reason I am here. with that said, I am a 20yr Navy Machinist Mate Retiree and current mechanic and I have to say, this was very hard to watch. To be fair to the poster, its his equipment to do as he pleases....but even I would think twice before Tilling Rocks. Thank you for posting the video. Its yours and I cant join the Haters or the Likes.
I sell new tillers have for long time we are in diff generation of farmers back in the day used to turn off let. Freeze out in winter then till in spring.no one is doing that much no more if a customer tells me how he is going to use it I refuse the sale hardest thing ever there designed for that. Either turn it over disc or all purpose plow loosen it up each attachment you buy has a purpose tiller is not a 3 or 4 in one attachment probably explains why papaw had such big and beautiful vegetables remember they had to get gardens right first time that's what they ate in winter it will produce a better yield if done right. At list loosen up dirt before you drop a 2000 dollar tiller on it or take your time slowly cut it go over it several times remember to service slip clutch if not you will be replacing something
The depth skid needs a bolt to hold it in place. I also see a flaw in the design of that tiller from the manufacturer. Looks to me that there are ONLY 2 3/4" bolts that hold on the entire chain drive to the hood & housing. It needs 2-4 more mount bolts or welds for tilling harder soil. I like the clutch location.
Good way to tear up that tiller..They are not a stump grinder ! That is abusing the equipment..just not right..The tiller has be mounted without any movement in pins.or it will bounce and tear its self up..I have one I got giving to me.what was not mounted right.had too much play,,and it shook its self apart.and busted 2x2 Square tubing.I replaced with solid Tubing.and all ok..but dont use it as stump grinder
Be sure jeep side bearing greased on regular bases 90 percent of trouble will be side double bearing it has a grease fitting don't be bashful pump in til you here coming out bearing is 30 dollars on line but do your research 100 - 200 what most are charging
People needs to go some kinda class should be mandatory if buying new tractor I had customer come in buy implements and attachments and not no how to even hok up most old farmers are gone or disappearing they had some of the prettiest gardens ever I get customers in saying garden didn't do good this year disappointing this year. More ti a garden sitting on tractor run it over in fall let it freeze and till in spring go by signs lot old people did no when and when not to plant you will be successful at growing produce vegetables
Just curious if anyone has some prior experience with tillers. I want to buy a 5 ft tiller possibly even 6 footer. How much tractor do I need for a tiller of this size? Any perfect tractor for this implement?
A Minimum of 20.0 pto hp for a 5ft. Ideally 22+ pto horsepower which would be a 25-28hp tractor. 30+ hp is ideal. 23-28 will get the job done. You could even run a 5 ft on a 20 hp tractor but there is no chance you can till down to 8 inches. Plan on maybe around 3-5.
Some people shouldn't be allowed to touch tools they have no knowledge of. Using to tear of oak roots...Salesperson should take the tiller away! and multiple times showing the skid with a missing bolt/pin! HA If my Pops caught me doing that..or me my kids... I smack upside the head...surprised the PTO didn't rip out,,, newb go back to city life...this farmer is embarrassed. IN fact I think I will share this with the local Community College as a HOW NOT TO USE FARM EQUIPMENT class
+imystery man That was my concern but my new Holland has 70 h.p. being turbo charged 250 ft. lbs. torque. It tills, flawless there's videos on here under another name. 3 passes and the tilling is maxed out. I keep the rpms at 1750 the sweet spot for my tractor. And it works perfectly. 2300rpm max does not really help and makes a lot more unnecessary vibration and work. My dirt is a lot of clay very tough stuff.
Nice stump grinder you got there.
Having fun...that's what it's all about. Every man should have a tractor.
If you can misuse and abuse one of these things the way Festus and his partner did here, they must be pretty sturdy.
My thoughts exactly!
Thats what the sliper clutch is for 🤘🏼
Full send lol

Use the lowest gear forward or reverse when tilling.
I bet these guys would use a micrometer as a c-clamp and vernier calipers as a adjustable wrench too
Exactly

Your beating the he'll out of it
Not intended for this use.

+Dave Hill that was hard to watch
A lot of people don't know that when I buy a bush hog or tiller most anything with a gearbox is there is no grease in the gear box.
I need to get 1 of those! ❤️
I always said if I had to⁰ pick one implement I would not want to be bushhog but after seeing this may change it to tiller
Darrell and his other brother Darrell, showing you what not to do. I wouldn't let you use a sledge hammer of mine.
Sooooooo I’m gonna say the tiller itself when used properly. Isn’t a bad buy. Wow
Lord have mercy
Wish you would have shown hooking it up and what you went through. Mine is very difficult.
Things would go a lot smoother if you broke the ground first.
I thank that was a tree down there.....has it broken yet?
A box scraper with rippers would have done the job if not better.
I noticed that you don’t have the plastic PTO safety collar on the end of the PTO.
only issue with these tillers is a max depth of 4". The king cutter TSC use to sell is 8". 4" doesnt do much

Man if that thing can do THAT I will get me one ! ! ! ! !Not quite like my soil LOL
If you are going to grind up roots buy a fecon bullhog.......Check that video out. This little thing is for dirt only.
He has already lost one bolt on the skid. He needs to replace it with a lock washer.
That ground is too hard. He is going to tear up his tiller.
I Think i'd rather play it smart and break up new soil with a plow first that way i can discover rocks, stumps first before i run the tiller thru it.
Made in liberty ky these are just thrown togather
Am sorry but that is totally crazy to break a expensive tiller to cut roots.
I just cringe see a tiller taking a beating I worked in maintenance all my life I no what is doing to them

Not made to take roots out. Its will take out a tiller.
I want one so bad but they're so damn expensive. Even used they push 1000 bucks
поменять направление вращения и нагрузка уменьшится качество с первого раза возьмёт на нужную глубину.
you are missing bolts on the tiller and that tractor is running pretty bad man.

it's a tiller, not a stump grinder.

Thats awesome lol
no need for water in tires, tractor is too high geared for this, need a much slower speed and tractor only needs to supply pto power not pulling power
I got to feeling sorry for the machine
WOW...and not in a good way! lol I definitely will not be doing this with mine...EVER.
this is why i dont buy used anything!
even the camera was scared
Does anyone care to ask where COUNTY LINE is really made ?
Liberty Ky 90%low payed Mexican work force
That's not a thiller. Thats stump grinder....
These are the kind of guys often found wrapped around that unguarded PTO shaft. Clueless.
man you are tearing that tiller up, a tiller works best with a hydro tractor. Most standard trans tractors do not move slow enough for a tiller.

Bullshit. Mine crawls at .2MPH in 1st, princess.
@@PepperDarlington Do you understand the difference between the words "most" and "all"?
Times already rusted.
i hope the damn gear fly out of it. smdh
dars something wrong wit dat cat
uuummm
This is really just how to NOT use your tiller. Makes me sick watching you guys waste machinery this way.
at least we know what it can withstand
